During my time in Stockholm, I passed through a large number of shopping malls including Solna Centrum which is just a short ride away from the city centre in Solna.
Being a short walk away (under a mile), from the largest shopping mall in Sweden and the third-largest in the Nordic countries which is the Mall of Scandinavia - one could argue the need for this smaller shopping centre which is located a few minutes walk away from the metro station of the same name.
It is pretty small and just walking through it, the mall appears to be a little uninspired and run-down, although some big brands do remain including Subway and Clas Ohlson - many stores seem to have moved to the nearer mall nearby and it seems this mall has slowly gone downhill since MOS opened in 2015.
Stockholm County does have some fantastic shopping centres from Taby Centrum and Mall of Scandinavia to Galleria and MOOD and sadly this mall doesn't offer anything the others don't, it isn't the place it was it just feels run down and like a shopping centre you'd find in a really small town, certainly not fit for one of the area's fastest-growing cities and it's with regret, I feel Solna Centrum deserves it's first one-star rating, and considering I'm the first to review here in around three years I'm not surprised I am the first and it is a shame to see how this mall has dwindled in lieu of nearby Mall of Scandinavia, interestingly both owned and operated by Westfield. read more
