Only a week, and that was due to my work schedule. The office was spacious and clean as a whistle. All the staff I encountered were friendly and cheerful. This was my first time at a dermatologist, so I was given the full body inspection and passed with flying colors. I was told about the dangers and negatives of tanning beds after I confessed to using one this past summer, and she explained to me the effects it can have on my skin. She then addressed my concerns about two spots I had, and then she immediately froze them and said they'd fall off in about a week. They actually took 2 weeks, to the exact day, but they're gone now and that's all I care about. Overall, it was a great visit and great experience. I will continue to come here for my skin needs.

She gave me half the amount the plastic surgeon usually uses on me and charged the same amount of money! Also, the botox didn't take in half my face, so I was walking around with half my face frozen for months! It actually became a party trick. I only booked the appointment there because it was close to my home in Spring Hill and my usual place didn't have an appointment for a few weeks and she had several openings immediately. Now I know why. I paid what I thought was the full amount immediately only to get an invoice for the $90 weeks later. Apparently it isn't uncommon because the office staff asked me if I asked any questions while in the appt and that was probably the reason. Zero personality or usable advice was given.

After a few days it cleared up. I visited Mark Brown and he said it was psoriasis and gave me a non steroid cream that immediately stopped it. It left my nose somewhat disfigured. It wasn't horrible, but the scarring and damage was enough to put a pretty big dent in my self-esteem. Of course, I am very thankful to have had the cancer removed, but it was tough coming to terms with what I saw in the mirror. I did all of the things I was supposed to do - I used the right silicone, massaged, even had several micro-needling sessions. Nothing really helped. I figured I would just suck it up and try to play with makeup to camouflage it, even though it didn't. Over the course of two years, I became far less social and much shyer. Noting these changes, my family encouraged me to make an appointment for a consultation with Fedok Plastic Surgery. Someone very close to us had been in an accident that damaged her face quite a bit, and Dr. Fedok had been the surgeon that put her back together, so to speak. When she showed me her immediate post-surgery photographs, I couldn't believe it. There were stitches everywhere, yet now her face shows virtually no signs of an accident. It was amazing work, beautifully done. That pushed me off the fence, and I set up the appointment. I am now a few weeks post-surgery, and I feel like I have my life back. I know that sounds dramatic, but I didn't realize how much the disfigurement on my nose had affected me. I have a little ways to go, but I'm stunned at the difference. He asked about my likes and dislikes, and then gave me some options and suggestions. He didn't rush through anything, and made sure I understood everything involved with the procedure. He has a passion for what he does, and it shows. The day of surgery, he was running behind due to complications with a patient before me. He came in and apologized, saying he takes his time and gets it perfect. I got the same treatment. My surgery should have been 3 hours (breast lift and implant exchange - I went smaller) but took 5 hours. He told my husband this was due to the repairs he had to make once he was in there. My husband said he even personally called that night to check in and see how I was doing. I am about 5 months post-op right now, and today's checkup was regarding a knot I have. As usual, Dr. Park did an exam, discussed his thoughts with me and made sure to explain it in detail and in a way I understood it. (No big medical terms that leave you walking out confused.) He also has a podcast that I listen to. It's very informative about different types of surgeries, as well as other procedures like botox, fillers, and the other services he provides at his office. I highly recommend seeking out a consult with Dr. Park if you're interested in making some changes or refreshers.
