Our toddler started at SolBe on day one of the school opening. We had very high hopes after our interview, despite the cost being much higher than the alternatives. For the added expense, we were promised minute by minute updates, a two-to-one ratio of teachers to students, and a focus on education that could be overlooked elsewhere. Unfortunately, despite an excellent experience with the Director and our son's first teacher, a significant change was made after a few months. The Director, along with many more staff members, were replaced, and the focus seemed to shift notably towards higher profits and cost cutting measures. Our son was moved into a much larger room where there were often two teachers for eight babies, even after they showed up late. The stress put on the staff still making an effort meant that the "minute-by-minute" updates through the app were ignored until the afternoon when they played catch up while all the kids were napping. Often, we wouldn't find out if our son had eaten or had a diaper change until hours after he'd been picked up. The high ratio also contributed to clothes being lost or ruined with art materials unsuitable for infants, diaper changes being skipped, brusies and scrapes, and a near weekly changeover of staff who were clearly frustrated with the experience as well. Our son's class shared a changing room with another, and it was very common to hear the teachers there, unaware they were being observed, repeatedly screaming at the toddlers "everyone come here" and "be quiet". Another thing for prospective families to consider is that SolBe considers themselves a school first and a daycare second. On the average month, SolBe closes around three working days for holidays, conferences, and "teacher enrichment", meaning that working parents will suddenly have a child to account for (not even to mention the frequency that they contact you and ask you to bring your child home early because they "seem like they're not feeling so well', with no other symptoms than a low fever and a lack of energy; a very common experience for young kids). Obviously, the monthly cost is the same regardless of how many days they actually care for your child. Ultimately, we found another center that is offering 5 nine-hour days a week for the same price that SolBe was charging for 3 seven-hour visits. The new school doesn't have a fancy app or gourmet lunches, but we feel our child is a lot more than just an income source in their eyes, and we're much happier. Our family is extremely fortunate and blessed that our son's first social experience was at Solbe. He started school when he was just one year old, and was greeted with unparalleled love every day by his class teacher, all the other teachers, the director, and the chef. Now, he runs out the door and into his classroom. This 2 years old ability to love others and accept himself is on full display not only at Solbe, but also at the park, the supermarket, and on trips, where he greets everyone with a smile and a "Hello!" As parents, I am most grateful for : Solbe's nutrition system, the best in the US. Three meals a day, chefs prepare fresh, nutritious, and varied menus, allowing our young children to experience a wide variety of foods and get the most nutrition. So I can forgive myself when I serve him just chicken nuggets at dinner :) Furthermore, from such a young age, the teachers provide new art experiences every day. My son loves drawing, talking, singing, dancing, and running around--all of these activities are spontaneous and active. Thanks to Solbe, his brain, mind, and motor skills have developed remarkably, and most importantly, he seems very happy. So I can forgive myself when I let him watch TV before dinner time :) I am grateful to the teachers and staff who provide the world's best early education, nutrition, with a big love spirit and we truly appreciate their professionalism. read more

SolBe's content isn't just about routine announcements, it serves as an educational space for parents and caregivers to learn how to be the best parents for their children. Personally, I appreciate the nutrition-focused content since I enjoy cooking. I love seeing the recipes shared (especially on Marlo's page!). With a packed schedule and limited time for extensive reading on parenting methods, the effective parenting tactics discussed are also valuable. What sets SolBe's content apart is its evident research-backed approach and thoughtful planning. The professionalism showcased in the content, including high-quality videos, distinguishes it from other creators with similar goals. I would highly recommend SolBe's social media platforms to other parents and caregivers. Our biggest worry before attending SolBe was our daughter's transition, but the SolBe team tailored the transition to our child's needs. With much love, care, and patience from SolBe's team, our daughter's transition was slow and healthy. Just what she needed to adjust and what we needed to know that this is the right place for us. Now, she absolutely loves going to school and has a great time. Other than that, one of the changes we noticed is how our daughter's eating habits have become healthier. We love the fact that SolBe has a cook and kitchen and focuses on nutritious and wholesome meals. All in all, our experience at SolBe has been great, and we couldn't be happier with the care and early education our daughter receives. read more

I honestly could not imagine a worse place to send a kid. It used to be a good place until Rachel took over as director, she may be the worst director we've ever encountered. She is slow, unresponsive, and has no idea what is actually going on in the classes and because of this the teachers and assistants take advantage. They don't change diapers all day, they leave children in the sun for hours, they lose kids clothes and belongings, they don't help children who are struggling and they lie constantly about what they are doing with your child. Sadly they fired their great chef and now they serve utterly terrible food to the children all while claiming they are some farm to table organic food center. Don't buy it, confirm everything for yourself if it isn't in pictures don't believe it. Could not recommend a place any lower than this read more

SolBe is a wonderful community filled with caring and thoughtful teachers and families. Our son had gone through just about every life transition when he first started, around age 2, and without missing a beat the SolBe team created a game plan to help support him during yet another transition. It was so incredibly meaningful to our family that they went out of their way to ensure a smooth transition for him. Their action plan worked magic and within one week of attending, our son would make it very clear to us how much he missed his teachers and friends at school when he wasn't with them. He still comes out of school every day with a big, bright smile excited to share all of the things he learned. Before enrolling our son at SolBe, we worked with a nanny. Eventually, we needed a defined set of hours when we knew we had access to care. We discovered that SolBe met those needs while providing a warm, welcoming environment for our family. While the schedule and hours fit our needs, so too did many other elements of the SolBe experience. Right off the bat, we loved the all-inclusive seed-to-table nutrition program. Providing our child with healthy, nutritious meals was essential. We recognized SolBe's personalized approach to understanding children's eating habits. For example, a SolBe team member noticed that our son wasn't eating many vegetables, so she brought him to the kitchen for a more hands-on approach to familiarize him with the food group--this strategy helped! This personalized approach to our child's development expanded well outside the food program. The curriculum was always age-appropriate, stimulating, and balanced, and our son's educators accommodated his individual needs. To SolBe, he wasn't just another child in a classroom. At the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, there was an inevitable shift in our routine and child care. SolBe observed temporary state-mandated closures, and despite the hurdle, the team was reliable in a way that no other program was (as far as we were aware). We were all in a tough spot, but SolBe was our lifeline. SolBe offered programming and support, making take-home meals, sending home projects and materials, hosting virtual dance parties on Fridays, and offering personalized classroom Zoom sessions. Navigating this new environment brought challenges, but SolBe's team operated with resiliency. For example, the temporary closure generated many questions about COVID-19 and a safe return to in-person care. Once again, SolBe approached this new territory with intentionality, hiring a Health Consultant who hosted virtual sessions with our community to answer our questions quickly and accurately through an informed, medical lens. Communication is critical in this industry and is one of SolBe's greatest strengths--the level of communication that SolBe brings is outstanding and fosters trust, transparency, and collaboration. As our son aged through the program, we experienced clear, consistent correspondence with his educators and administrators. We found SolBe's team to be highly adaptable, open to feedback, and inclusive. SolBe is not just child-focused, but also parent-focused. We are lucky to now experience SolBe with two children, as our youngest son enrolled the following year. Experiencing life at SolBe across several different age groups (while logistically beneficial, of course) is wonderful. With different children, different personalities and needs emerge. That said, the level of attention and care is consistent despite an individualized approach to education. At SolBe, educators are responsive to the needs of each child. Our children have grown and developed in many ways, including areas of early literacy, mindfulness, and artistic expression. While our children are supported, so are we. We are part of a community in a unique environment that feels personal, not transactional. We started with a Nanny share during COVID when our little guy was 4 months old and we loved the experience. When the other family moved and the Nanny moved on to a new occupation, we knew it was time for our son to be around other kids his age to continue his growth, vocabulary, and surpass all of his milestones. We had done a lot of research in the area for an early learning center that would also teach him Spanish and all signs lead to Solbe. We were nervous about this big change for our son and were afraid he would have a hard transition, but he seemed to fit it right away. He loves going to school in the morning and claps when we arrive and runs to the door to go into class and see his friends and teachers. The daily updates and photos on bright wheel showing all of the smiling students remind us that Solbe is the perfect fit for our son. My 2.5 year old son had an outstanding experience at this early childhood learning center. Patti, Silvana and Talia really went above and beyond for him. I felt totally comfortable leaving him there and he often didn't want to leave at pick up time! We loved that all meals and snacks were provided, and the variety of programming offered (yoga, music class) made it so that we just enjoyed our time together without being over scheduled on off days. We had to change schools as we moved away but my son still talks about SolBe and how beautiful it is and how much fun he had there. Highly recommend! read more

When it was time to look for an early learning center for our daughter it was important to find a place that would allow our daughter to grow and develop in a way that was unique to her and in line with our values as a family. It was also important to us that our daughter be in a facility that could adapt to the growing and changing needs of our child. We wanted her to have the opportunity to engage in experiential learning, gain exposure to Spanish, have a safe and friendly play environment, and be in the care of educators who prioritized the needs of our child. As we began touring different childcare centers, we very quickly got the feeling that many of the corporate organizations would require our child to fit into a certain mold. This felt upsetting, as we were so excited to raise a little lady to fit anything but a mold. I personally remember walking away from one tour feeling extremely sad and worried that we would not find a center that felt more personal and educational and would have to send our child to a traditional "daycare". During our childcare search, we happened to come across SolBe and were immediately blown away by the organization and the vision SolBe had for early education. The more we learned about the organization, the more excited and honestly comfortable we left with the idea of leaving our precious little one in the hands of highly capable, incredibly warm, and exceptional educators. After attending SolBe, we have noticed that our daughter's confidence, curiosity, and playfulness have only been enhanced through the love, care, and education she receives from her educators. It is so clear that our little lady is happy, loved, and truly cared for during her time at SolBe. During the weekends, our daughter will ask why she cannot go to SolBe and will eagerly look forward to the days that she can be reunited with her little friends and amazing educators. It is wonderful to see how much our daughter has learned from SolBe. When she was in the infant room, we noticed that she learned unique ways to communicate her needs and also had a strong bond with her educators as she would be playful with them upon arrival. As she moved into the toddler classrooms, our child would excitedly come home and share her art and sing songs or repeat stories that she discussed during circle time. Now that our kiddo is in preschool, we see strengths such as independence, confidence, strength, emotional intelligence, kindness, openness toward others, and genuineness and we know that SolBe has been instrumental in helping our daughter grow in these areas. Our absolute biggest challenge prior to attending SolBe was finding an early learning center with educators who would love my child and work with our family to care for him as we do. We want him to be seen as an individual, known by his peers and staff, and to be cared for in the ways he needs as he grows. This challenge made us feel like our son was just a number, just another child in a crowded class. No one had ever taken the time to get to know him. Every child deserves to be seen and heard and assisted in their individual space to learn and grow. We didn't feel like we were getting that. It's heartbreaking to see your child not be cared for, just to be brushed along in a herd. At SolBe, my child is loved. His needs and wants are nurtured. He's learning and growing at alarming speed because he is being heard, his abilities are being applauded and creatively challenged to grow. He's comfortable and happy. SolBe is a positive reference and a place our son requests to go on his days off. Our son sings to us in Spanish and requests to see his friends and teachers when he is home. He doesn't cry or panic when I leave him at SolBe. He tells me he loves his educators, unprompted! He is confident around other children and adults in ways he was not before. To somebody on the fence about attending SolBe, I'd say that investing in your child's care and wellbeing is worth it. This place is special, you'll know when you see it. When we began our search for child care, our daughter was four months old. We wanted a program where she'd be cared for, that felt like family. As soon as we visited SolBe and spoke with the team, we discovered the feeling we were looking for--SolBe had all that we wanted and more. Beyond the high-quality care and that initial positive gut feeling, we found SolBe's all-inclusive program incredibly helpful. Having the seed-to-table nutrition (food, infant pureés, formula) and the diapers and wipes covered at school saved us much time at home--what a luxury knowing that SolBe would take care of everything we needed. Like all families enrolled in child care, we felt the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite the uncertainty, SolBe dealt with the state-mandated closure very well. SolBe accommodated all families and included us in their decisions--it truly felt like a community effort. SolBe's team facilitated Zoom sessions and virtual dance parties and provided take-home meals during the closure. The meals were delicious, nutritious, and helpful, as we were home caring for our daughter while working. While offered for the kiddos, the dance parties allowed us to connect with other parents! SolBe fulfilled its purpose of being child-focused and parent-focused. SolBe's team stepped up in these uncharted waters, navigating the pandemic with intention and adaptability. SolBe reopened quickly, safely, and effectively and were the first to do so (that we knew of). SolBe's COVID-19 protocols are rigorous and comprehensive, and we did not, and have not, had to worry about health and safety. Our daughter is now three years old and is in SolBe's preschool program. She thoroughly enjoys school, always asking to go. She has connected with her educators and established many strong relationships with her classmates. She has developed strong verbal skills; she is incredibly articulate and excels in Spanish comprehension. She understands quite a bit of Spanish and sings to me in Spanish every night before reading. In fact, some of her first words were in Spanish. For a while, she said a few words like "Agua" only in Spanish. Despite her part-time schedule, the curriculum and enrichment are so profound that her experience has felt full-time. To anyone considering SolBe, I would say that if the price is a concern, it is well worth the cost. Money does not compare to the value of SolBe's programs, nurturing environment, seed-to-table nutrition, and devoted education team. Due to work schedule changes, we momentarily complemented her part-time schedule with at-home daycare. We learned from this experience that she isn't nearly as stimulated in this setting. For her, this at-home experience felt exactly like it sounds, like being at home. Alternatively, SolBe's program provides the structure, emergent curriculum, socialization, and environment she needs to thrive. I will also note that if you need flexibility in your schedule, SolBe offers both part-time and full-time options. Being a healthcare provider, I can attest to the benefits of the earlier start time and an extended day program. SolBe is always open year-round, so we have care we can depend on during the summer months. SolBe is exceptional. SolBe has always been our one constant, despite the times of uncertainty and chaos that we've navigated over the past few years. We had such a great experience with SolBe. We enrolled our daughter in SolBe when she was 2.9 years old and had a great experience. She is 4.5 years old now and we had to move her out to find something closer to home, but it was a very difficult decision for us. The educators are attentive and caring. It was great to see how much our daughter had learned there from her letters, words, and emotional skills to her social interaction skills. It is a great community and school. read more

Okay, anxious parents! Alright, maybe you aren't anxious to bring your child to a new daycare, but I certainly was. I honestly cannot speak highly enough about the Solbe team and daycare. To get to the facts: we get daily pictures and updates whenever our child goes to the bathroom, eats, or really does anything. The photos we get (and there are many each day!) really show how much fun our son is having. The educators and staff truly love our kiddo, and they have become family. They respect and listen to us, and provide us with guidance when asked. They are highly educated in child development and work WITH us, instead of ABOVE us - this is may be the most important balance in childcare. If you want to feel like your child is as taken care of as she/he is at home, Solbe is the place to be. Even if you are unsure, it's worth at least checking them out. read more

For months we struggled to find the right arrangement and could not have dreamed up a better combination of healthy, nontoxic and beautiful environment with thoughtful engagement for our son, and for us! Our family loves SolBe. We have two children enrolled and couldn't be happier. The teachers are all exceptional. They care so deeply for our children, their students, and the love is palpable. Our children feel the same way about the teachers as well. Our son often asks to see "nana" and "jose" and "bessy." He sings songs, counts to ten in Spanish, understands a ton of conversational Spanish as well, and is just an overall well-adjusted toddler. Our daughter recently transitioned to the pre-school and is having a fantastic time. The prepared meals are nutritional, the facility is beautiful, and the outdoor play area is fantastic. SolBe is absolutely incredible on all fronts. My daughter, our first child, started there at 4 months old. This transition as a new parent is never easy but I literally can't imagine doing it anywhere but SolBe. In fact, starting at SolBe made my transition back to work much easier than I thought it would be because I knew my daughter had the best care. They really do focus on keeping the whole family thriving. The educators are so thoughtful in following our care routine and spent the time to learn it. I can't say enough good things about Solbe. Leaving your child in daycare is hard and with previous childcare arrangements I always worried or felt guilty leaving him. I thought this was just normal mom guilt and it is. However, I do not feel this way leaving him at Solbe. Its a huge relief knowing he is happy and thriving there. In a short period of time Solbe has become family. His adjustment period took only a few days!! This is huge since he never really adjusted to his previous daycare after several months. There are lots of reasons for this. The people are wonderful and so loving at Solbe. Also, they spent time asking us questions about his routines and encouraged us to check in as much as we needed. I never feel like an intruder the way you can sometimes feel in other daycare settings. They have deep respect for parents and understand that they really know their child and can be helpful. Julien never slept at his previous daycare but he naps great at Solbe. I think this is partly because they welcomed our input for how to put him down. They have taught us a lot too. read more
