I would highly recommend choosing SunBlue Energy as your solar installer if you live in or around…read moreWestchester County. We spoke with Chris, the president of the company, during our initial meeting where he explained everything we needed to know and what to expect from the proposed system. I had met with a couple other installers as well, and the specs of the pitch are basically the same with the regard the benefits of having solar power. What I appreciated about Chris and SunBlue was that he never was overly pushy, nor using "salesman" type tactics, and truly felt like he just wanted to make sure we had all the information we needed for the decision. They were also willing to work with us on the price and configuration as well. Also, all installers present a similar cost-saving estimate, but there's sometimes sleight-of-hand with the values they populate for ConEd energy rates and expected increases. SunBlue's estimates for these numbers seems like the most reasonable and comparable to our actual bills. After we signed the agreement with them, the process could not have been more seamless. SunBlue took care of everything you'd expect: designing, permits, inspections, etc, without us ever having to think about anything. The office was always very communicative during the process, and we were always well-informed about the progress. The install itself took place in less than a day and the city inspection was complete and all permits closed out the next day. The whole process was complete about 8 weeks after we signed the agreement. This efficiency was definitely appreciated with how quickly the clean energy incentives are being removed these days. After our system was fully connected with ConEd, Chris came back again to see how everything went and to go over again all of the details of the system. It's been about a month since we started generating energy, and while it was a very hot and sunny August, it was still nice to see that the system generated 30% more than what was projected. All in all, again would highly recommend choosing SunBlue.

One of the most professional, thorough, dependable, communicative companies I've ever had the pleasure to deal with. My rep Drew Divittorio was so friendly, trustworthy, patient and helped me understand absolutely everything about the system and worked diligently to get me the best price. One of the best assets NYPS has is their partnership w GreenSky a lender who was able to lend the full tax rebate upfront at 0% interest (!!!) for 18mos, significantly decreasing the money needed initially to get going on install. This is a total game changer. The install team was super professional and fast, installing 30 panels in about 2/3 of a work day. I just got off the phone w their quality assurance team. The app is excellent user experience-wise. I'm obsessed w monitoring our usage daily. Happy to say the system is working flawlessly even though it's winter. I considered solar for a good 10 years with many many companies coming to assess and provide estimates. NONE were convincing enough until this company came along. Very satisfied and excited to one day bypass paying ConEd altogether. New York Power Solutions couldn't have made this transition into renewable energy smoother and honestly delightful.

The flickering instantly stops when we turn off the solar system. Initially they were adamant that this had nothing to do with the solar panels which is obviously absurd. Twice they have sent electricians who roll their eyes at us and tighten the connections and leave. No one is interested in actually solving this problem. Regret does not come close to describing how I feel about using this company. Edited to add that their reply is a joke. They have "determined" absolutely nothing. They have no idea why our lights are flickering. They want to claim it's not the solar panels, but turning off the panels instantly fixes the problem, and they have no explanation for this.

My journey started in 2021 with a 20 panel system and fast forward to 2023 I'm having an additional 10 panels added to my system (needed additional panels to offset power consumption for 2 EV's, ductless system, etc.). I waited to write my review to gauge how the service and support experience would potentially change after the inital installation and I can say Dan and his team has been just as competent, professional, supportive, etc as the initial consultation. My gripe with the other 'solar guys' is they all sounded like car salesmen focusing on making a deal, get in and get out.....in contrast Dan actually sat and took the time to explain the whole process in great detail from start to finish and didn't end until all questions, comments and concerns were addressed. I will use Built Well Solar for all my solar needs for foreseeable future.

They performed the work on time and on budget. When I sold my first home the buyers mentioned that the solar panels were one of the factors in making their decision. Needless to say, there was no shopping around when it came time to equip my second home. They are hands down, the BEST solar company and I liked the fact that they are a privately owned Long Island based company.
