I feel as though the dentist rushed my extraction and butchered my jaw. I was crying throughout the entire process, he did not stop to give me a break or ask what I needed to continue. He just applied more pressure to get the tooth removed. I did not feel like a patient or even a human being. I am traumatized from the experience - as a nurse myself, patients have the right to comfort, and compassion even during invasive treatments. I do not believe he followed the standard of care for my treatment and once he got my signature on the consent form felt liberated to butcher my mouth to finish the job asap... I intend to follow up with the practice board/ regulating body about this. Even with a consent form signed there is a standard level of care that needs to be adhered to and outcome/ injury level based on procedure needs to reasonable, which mine was not. read more

The hygienist was warm and friendly. I would give it 5 if I was only rating her but the dentist said one word to me "Hi". That is it, did not introduce himself, ask any questions. When he was done he did not even say a word to me. Would not like to see him again. read more

Not being to a dentist for a very long time (bad experience with the last one) I was in dire need of dental help. I chose Solar Dental because of some of the reviews they had and they can do everything in office. I have to say the best. Idea I had was to go to them. Kind courteous and always friendly. My dentist Dr Neal Baweja is hands down a true professional in his field. Thoughtful and looks after his patients needs not for just now but for future planning. Had a tooth repaired and totally pleased with that, however, there was an amount not covered under my benefits which they expected me to have right away. Due to COVID I lost my job and was not able to get payment as quickly as they liked so their office person sent it to a collection agency. They are so rude and unprofessional there, that office staff needs to be completly overhauled with people who care about their patients. Dont go to this place they treat you like crap. You cant even get a call back from the dentist when you request. read more

After having a recent really bad experience with a local dentist, I was really apprehensive about going to another to have a broken tooth removed. At Solar I found the staff to be really friendly and considerate. I told Dr. Oh that I wanted the tooth removed and he asked me to give him the opportunity to try to rebuild it. If it didn't work out he would remove it. I agreed with reservation. So pleased I did. The procedure was quick and painless before and after. I highly recommend Dr. Oh. read more

The brunette receptionist is rude. The cleaning was mediocre. (Although the older lady is great if she still works here.) The dental chair was in rough shape. They are not afraid to tack on unnecessary procedures, so make sure your insurance covers it before they do anything. The dentists are always pushing for unnecessary procedures like removing your wisdom teeth, even though I have no problems with mine. read more

He's real and down to earth and I feel that he always has my best interests in mind. I've never had a problem with his work and he always runs on time for his appointments. Probably one of the best dental experiences I've had (if one can say such a thing). Front desk staff was courteous and helpful, my appointments have started on-time and the waiting time once I'm in the chair is minimal. The technicians I had were very knowledgeable, professional, and friendly - could have easily mistaken one of them for the dentist. The dentist was also very knowledgeable, confident, and ready to work. He was also very good about explaining what he was seeing and doing and what was coming next. Highly recommended read more

Went in with severe pain, Dr Neal Baweja fit me in schedule and was able to see me. After a few X-rays it turned out I had to have a tooth removed. He offered me some laughing gas which really took the edge off and he had the tooth out very quickly. What a great dentist. Highly recommend to see him. read more

Well, I found Dr. Baweja very unprofessional and imo, negligent. I had a terrible experience that sent me from the office on a stretcher. He outright lied to me and I will never go back to this office. I cannot comment on any other dentist here as I had no contact with them. read more

Amazing staff members, great envirnoment, but whatever you do, DO NOT LET DR BAWEJA TOUCH YOUR TEETH!! It all begun when I did two fillings with him about five months ago, and it has been a nightmare ever since. During the operation, he was very distracted and stopped SEVERAL times to discuses work schedule/weekend plans with his assistant (REALLY!?). I had my mouth open, with several tools sticking out, that was really not the best time to get sidetracked. Then at some point of the operation, his assistant said "OPES" and I knew something went wrong. For the next several months, I went back for at least 4-5 times for different adjustments, applied various creams on my teeth, and saw a root canal specialist. The specialist was alright; he wasn't able to tell what's wrong. But he told me some information about my teeth that I did not realize (ie: Dr Baweja has shortened my teeth so much that the top and bottom are no longer touching). But when I brought this to Dr Baweja's attention (without mentioning it was from the specialist), he said I'm just being paranoid. AND that I am just IMAGINING the pain in my mouth. PARANOID? IMAGINING? REALLY? That was BEYOND unprofessional and rude in so many ways. I did the fillings, having the pains, and went back for adjustments. All those appointments later, it's still the SAME pain (and a few more problems because now my teeth were cut off too short). I have done fillings before, and they have NEVER cause me any problems or sensitivity. I have to say that Dr Baweja is the WORST and unprofessional dentist I have ever seen. I don't trust him at all. On a side note, I have talked to some of my colleagues regarding this horrific experience and they recommended me the following dentists: - Dr Arvanitis: 519 748 2282 (two people actually recommended her) - Dr Vyas at Dawson Dental. To be fair, I think there's 3 dentists working at Solar Dental and I cannot comment on their overall practice. But just DON'T choose Dr Baweja. read more

Very disgusted and disappointed. After complaining about 4 teeth hurting I was referred to a specialist at coronation dental. The dentist at coronation was able to pull only 1 of the 4 teeth that was causing me a lot of pain. I am not happy with coronation also but they are not my dentist and I believe a genuine effort was made to pull the teeth. I am told I will need to be admitted to the hospital to have remaining 3 teeth pulled under anesthesia. My disappointment with the coronation is because they did not give me appropriate pain medication. While I am disappointed with coronation dental I am very upset at Solar. A family member referred me to solar and thought Solar had compassion for their patients. I thought Solar cared also but when I really needed them they left me in excruciating pain. None of my family or friends will be putting our trust in Solar ever again. read more

I'd never rate Solar Dental anything higher than a 1. You know when you get a bad feeling about a place based on a poor impression they give you? That's exactly the case with Solar Dental. The first sketchy thing was that the "reception" ladies who do nothing, actually literally told me they LOST the paperwork they had me fill out the first day I went. LOL! What a disaster right from the start. So they...told me....not asked me.... To fill out new ones. Ya right, forget that. What other responsibilities do they have besides handling patients' files? But wait, it doesn't end here. After I got my tooth filling by the dentist (who was the ONLY understanding person there), I noticed a problem so 5 minutes later I called Solar Dental, told the girl my concern, asked if the dentist was still there, and she took the whole situation personally and started saying with so much attitude that she's not the dentist so she has no idea what I'm talking about and that the dentist left. No intention whatsoever of helping. With anything. Like, why are you there? And there was no confidence in her voice, so I had to call back just to make sure she's for real that the dentist ACTUALLY left as soon as I did cause how big of a coincidence is that? She became defensive, asked "why would I lie to my patients?" Well she sure knows how to piss off her patients. This lady really pushed my buttons but out of respect I didn't even swear at her and all of a sudden she said "this is making me uncomfortable" and hung up. This is NOT how you deal with upset customers. Sounded like she never worked with people in her life.. I mean really! Next, when I went to the office a day or so later to actually talk to the dentist himself, in PERSON, the receptionists all talked crap. Good, I'm glad I was the main subject of the conversation!:) People taking things too personally.. Something I always knew not to do on the job but whatever.. Worked with customers from a young age and not everyone's always gonna be 100% satisfied, that's a given. Next, with the teeth cleaning and fillings I was entitled to free teeth whitening to take home. But had also bought a dental appliance so that had to be ordered and when it came in, I got called.. Same annoying receptionist calls me, says the appliance is in but when I ask nicely "What about the teeth whitening?" She tells me she has no idea about that. But got offended, of course, AGAIN, and began pushing back, LIKE USUAL, just because of a SIMPLE QUESTION. These people don't like simple questions! It was whatever I wasn't in the mood so I just went in to the office in person cause you can't get anywhere with those receptionists or whatever they are. And when they want to schedule your next appointment with you, they ALWAYS pick the date and time for you instead of giving you the option to. Turns out she really didn't know what was going on cause the dentist had the teeth whitening available too. Awkward.. Just like the front desk people.. With this being said, I refuse to deal with "The Solar Dental" staff again cause to me the front desk people aren't knowledgeable at all, but they literally PROVED to me that they aren't. At all. Just be mindful of these things and ask yourself if you'd really want to do business with a company who's staff lose your personal information. Cheers. read more
