Absolutely beautiful! Lots of attention paid to the grounds and pool areas. The rooms are large and comfortable. The rooftop bar and pool are a must. The major downside is you will hear every noise, every conversation, every peep from others in the hotel halls because there's absolutely no soundproofing. Bring something for background/white noise. Do not try the restaurant as it is very disappointing and could ruin your opinion of the hotel. There are a lot of other local restaurants to try while you are out and about!

    Bed bugs!

Let me just say if I had the option to rate with zero stars that would be my rating! My wife and I stayed for a night and got eaten up by bed bugs. Hotel staff went in to the room and confirmed that there was bed bugs. Terrible response from management they did not even offer an apology or credit for the terrible experience. Management did nothing about my concerns and stated "we're not sure how the bugs got there, they may have fallen from the ceiling" this was managements response to my concern. Terrible experience for the high ratings of this hotel. I wouldn't stay here ever again! See photos attached. Hotel's management's response was unacceptable not even an apology! TERRIBLE

With Mexican architecture and colonial style decor, you feel the old world 17th century charm combined with modern luxury and comfort. It's possibly the nicest hotel in Tequila - and the newest - as it took three years to build and they are now gradually accept guests to fill their 93 rooms. The location couldn't be more perfect, situated blocks from Tequila's plaza del centro with views of the church Santiago Apostol and volcano. You're in walking distance to local eats, shopping, and tequila bars (which comes in handy since the hotel is a Jose Cuervo hotel and that is the only brand of tequila they serve). Rooms are equipped with L'Occitane products; mini bar; mini fridge; plush bathrobes, slippers and bedding; smart TV; Wi-Fi; and a standing shower that could possibly fit you and four of your closets friends! On the first level you'll find the pool, restaurant, cafe/wine area, strolling/walking paths; on the 4th floor is where you wanna go for sweeping views of the town at the hotel's Sky Bar. They have a limited food menu (guac, chips), tequila cocktails galore, lounge chairs and a small swimming pool. The hotel also offers turndown service, beauty salon, meeting room, and a fitness center with sauna. Our group of friends were only there for one night and had an early morning tequila adventure, so we didn't get a chance to check out all the amenities - but I'd love to return! Rooms start at $170 USD, but I did notice $120 USD specials recently. If you book, I rec staying over the weekend, as the town is completely silent on weekdays. My only complaints about our stay was: :: No complimentary coffee. The room is equipped with a Nespresso machine, but you still have to pay for your coffee. (Even our HolidayInn Express in Guadalajara had free coffee in both the rooms and the lobby.) :: Trying to close our tab at SkyBar took some 20 minutes. It took a staff of 5 people to stand around a machine and scratch their heads as we waited ... and waited ... and waited. We nearly missed dinner at the only opened restaurant in town. :: Though SkyBar had a full menu of 20+ tequila cocktails, they were only able to make 5.

Excellent luxurious hotel for a little town in the countryside of Mexico. Everything was excellent from the moment we arrived. We felt safe and taken care of. Straub. With free flower drinks when checking in: hibiscus and romero (rosemary)... yum! The pool is perfect for an afternoon of splashing fun. We were there on a Thursday night and had the pool for ourselves! Luxurious bedding and decor. Tequila in your room for reasonable prices for American tourists. Coffeemaker and other niceties in the room, including two small glass containers with raw almonds and dried fruits. Yum!

Perfect downtown location! Valet (underground) parking. We reserved the room the same day. They're online was not working from where I was at. I called the hotel and had great service on the reservation. Rooms were large and very clean. Beds were very comfortable. I was surprised at their very cool bar up on the top floor overlooking the city. Great drinks with a heated pool right by the bar. Highly recommends this hotel.

Definitely stay here. It's an amazing hotel I side a small town. It across the street from everything and it's very high end. The staff was friendly, everything was clean and up to date. It definitely made me want to come back and stay here. After seeing some of the other hotel options you will for sure want to Stay in this one!

Gorgeous hotel and restaurant located in the center of tequila Jalisco. Walking distance from Jose Cuervo and step out into the plaza. The restaurant is an hacienda style with gorgeous presentation and friendly staff food is well made and presented nicely.

Amazing hotel in the heart of Tequila. Superb service and beautiful installations. The best option - by far - in Tequila.

In short my family and I were targeted by a ring of extortionists claiming to be part of the "Nueva…read moreGeneración," and this hotel was involved. Where they really the cartel? We didn't stick around the find out. After realizing the town was having a special event and streets were closed with carnival type games, fireworks, and music, we decided to book a hotel for the night. We wanted the adults to enjoy drinking and not worry about driving, and the kids to enjoy the fireworks and games without rushing. Three rooms were booked at the Plaza Jardin. When we all decided to call it a night, the room with the person who registered their number during the booking, received a call from two "comandantes" advising them who they were and threatening to harm our family if we did not listen to them. Amongst our group were 4 kids, so you could imagine the dilemma we were in. Throughout the almost 1 hour drive f back and forth, we'd realized the hotel employee was involved, the business outside the hotel selling drinks was involved, that we were monitored throughout the day, and that we were being watched via a camera in the room mirror and the 2nd floor of the hotel. All our rooms were on the first floor, towards the back of the hotel. Our rooms were divided by a patio where anyone from a higher floor would be able to see if we were walking outside. I won't go into detail in case one of those ass***** are reading, and they use us as an example of what not to do on their end. The point is after we all found out we were all physically okay, we decided to grab what we could, and make a run for it. We had family in town, who we'd failed to mention we were staying in town to avoid the awkward "stay with us." We didn't want to be a burden. We were a large group. The family lived near the city center, so in the middle of the festivities, close to midnight, we made a run for it. My cousin and I were the last ones out. As we ran through the hotel, I noticed the receptionist was not at his desk, he was standing at the hotel entrance keeping a watch and watched as everyone of my family members ran out. I yelled obscenities at him as I ran alongside my cousin. She later mentioned that when she turned back, he was smirking. Was it only a scare tactic? Not sure. We did not stick around to find out what they wanted and what they were capable of doing. I am sure the goal was to have us wire money. And they used scare tactics like good cop, bad cop, and mental warfare to try and break us. Using words such as "if you don't listen to us, your family will be leaving this hotel in body bags." Bottom line, don't stay here. If you visit Tequila, leave the same day.
