We had flown into Nut Tree from San Jose and was refueling at the pump, when our Grumman Tiger's starter broke. Since it was a Sunday, there weren't any mechanics around on the field to fix it. Fortunately Wings Flight School was open and we came across Preston, who then proceeded to help troubleshoot the problem and put us in touch with a shop that could do it. Preston went above and beyond in helping out a fellow pilot in need and he is a great credit to Wings.

She was amazing at pinpointing errors and helping us adjust arm movements to make the dance flow better. She taught us how to lead and follow, spin, turns, box step, and even a lift! Our guests were floored during our dance routine! Even a month after our wedding, my husband and I will break out into dance with the moves that we learned from Ava! I received no pre or post progress report. As the one bed Barbra was able to print she was unable to verify the date completed. We had two meetings during this process. At the first meeting, I expected an update on my daughter's progress, but instead the conversation focused on paying for additional services, with no update on how my daughter was doing. At the second meeting, Mrs. Barbra, the owner, threw her hands up and asked why I was there. Once again, I received no update on my daughter's progress. I was also never given the opportunity to speak with the tutor who worked directly with my daughter. Mrs Barbra only wanted to read vague notes. Before I paid, Mrs. Barbra spent a significant amount of time speaking with me on the phone--even on Christmas Eve. She was attentive, friendly, answered my questions, and reassured me about enrolling my daughter. After receiving my payment, however, my experience with the communication and level of attention was noticeably different. I called and emailed multiple times seeking updates after program completion, without receiving a response. It took 2 months to get a meeting with the wonder after my daughter finished. When I requested either an additional seven weeks at no charge so the promised services could be properly completed or a full refund, Mrs. Barbra declined. During that conversation, I experienced eye-rolling, shrugging, exaggerated body language, laughing, and an overall dismissive response. I attempted to speak with two other staff members as well one named Rob, but unfortunately all staff was rude and dismissive. I paid $1,000 expecting measurable information about my daughter's academic progress. Instead, I finished the program without completed testing, measurable results, adequate communication, or a resolution. At this point, I am requesting a full refund. I believe this is a fair and reasonable resolution considering the testing, progress reporting, communication, and follow-up I was promised were not provided. Most disappointing was the way my concerns were handled when I attempted to address these issues directly. I expected a professional conversation and an effort to resolve the situation, not to leave feeling dismissed and degraded.

Mrs. Cindy is wonderful. The office staff is helpful. I appreciated that they did a weekly bible lesson with the kids. The events were very sweet. Cons: When they advertise they believe in play... They mean it. There is very little to no formal teaching done here. I suppose that this is ok if that's what you want... but coming from another pre-k where there was more of a balance between learning and play I felt like this was just glorified day care. Pick up/drop off made me feel like cattle. It's truly awful. Parents are made to wait in line and it takes FOREVER to drop off and then later receive your child. I also felt like there was not enough discipline and teachers didn't want to correct bullyish children. Time after time I would hear from my daughter and her friends about how aggressive a boy was to her and others in the class and the staff wouldn't do anything about it. When I brought it up to the staff they said "yes we are aware he has some aggression, and we talk to him about his choices." Um.... Okay. The issues continued throughout the year so I don't think talking to him helped, nor did it make other kids feel heard. That was irresponsible, and in my opinion PEP should have sent the kid packing. Another thing: the dreaded snack schedule. There are very specific rules about what you can bring and what you cannot... I appreciate that they don't want the kids to be consuming tons of sugar and candy. I can understand requesting that things like cookies and brownies not be brought. I was baffled at how often they allowed homemade muffins to be brought in (no nutrition label, high sugar). Muffins are essentially cake without frosting so this seems particularly hypocritical. Not only that, but my daughter has a severe corn allergy and was once fed a corn bread muffin another parent brought in. They were sincerely apologetic, and even called later to check on her. I know accidents happen, but if they would have had a muffin (or no homemade) ban this would have been avoided. Lastly, they are parking Nazis. I once was walking into the school with my arms full of grocery bags filled with healthy snacks, my 4 year old holding onto my arm, and a crying 2 year old who I had just woken out of a dead sleep tearing at me like a freaked out cat. I clearly could have used a hand and some grace. Instead, a woman came running out and told me to move my car which was in fact, legally parked but not in a space as I was planning on being in & out. The loving thing would have been to say "do you need some help? Let me grab one of those bags for you!". Instead, I was told to move my car immediately. So with my youngest child screaming bloody murder on my hip, my arms overflowing with a gallon of milk and 2 bags of groceries and a 4 year old at my side, I told the sassy office woman "not now, I'll be back in 2 minutes", went in, dropped off my stuff, and walked quickly back to my car feeling embarrassed and angry. Overall, I think PEP is ok. There's a huge wait list and so many people sing it's praises. Unfortunately, I think that's a lot more hype/eliteness talk then anything else. Because of our experience, we chose not to enroll my younger daughter here this year.

My kid has made pancakes (didn't pour them or cook them), no-bake cookie bites and "moose crunch". The pancakes he came back with were two cookie cutter size pancakes. There was 4 small No-Bake cookie bites. The moose crunch was literally Cheerios and a little bit of marshmallows and m&m candies in a snack size bag. There was no cooking whatsoever, he's done nothing but assemble ingredients and wash dishes. So he's come back home with $0.60 worth of ingredients. A $177 class! There is ZERO communication from this person. I got ONE email from her the entire time we were registered and it states they're going to charge parents for being late and will charge parents for takeaway boxes. This lady is LATE EVERY CLASS and she always ends the class early! Today was the ONE class my kids were to attend because SHE cancelled 2 of the 3 classes for the month so we got there at 10:00, as it says in the ONE email I got, and the lady at reception told me the class was moved to 9:30! This lady didn't bother emailing or calling or texting that there was a time change! I paid $352 for my two kids to NOT ATTEND EVEN ONE CLASS, and you better believe she doesn't bother reimbursing! I really wanted to love this program, my son absolutely loves cooking but WOW, I have never encountered such an unprofessional business ever. Don't waste your money, don't waste your time, you will be disappointed and what's worse, your kids will be disappointed.
