This review is not for the quality of the spa treatments here, but for the customer service. I wouldn't know about the quality of the treatments because when I arrived for my confirmed appointment they told me that I hadn't confirmed it "enough" for them.
Salt Spring is a small island and I barely had any cell service here. My boyfriend has a different provider and he also rarely had service. I never received a phone call from this spa (they called me twice, I didn't get the voicemail til I was off the island).
To book here, you fill out a form on their website. They email you available times and request you sign in to a third party website to give your credit card information. I did this and received an email confirming my booking and my spa treatment from the third party website. It said it was from Solace, had the time and type of appointment booked, so I figured I was confirmed!
Evidently not.
I didn't reply to the original email (the one instructing me to go to the third party website) and I didn't receive any of their calls (who relies on telephone calls to confirm booking when there is no cell service on the island???) but I did enter my credit card info on the form they instructed me to and received an email saying my appointment was booked. But when I got there (15 minutes early, excited to have a relaxing spa treatment) I was told that they didn't have an available therapist and there was no way to correct this and it was my fault for not answering the phone calls.
No apology, no how can we make this right. I showed them my confirmation email and they didn't care. I don't care how good your massages are, you treat me like shit, ruin the last day of my vacation and make me cry and I don't ever want to go back to your retreat. 0/5 read more
