I have been to many spas and had many beauty treatments. I can honestly say Spa By Lenice is probably one of the best spas that I have been to! This tranquil spa is located on beautiful Saltspring. Imagine getting a beauty treatment while gazing onto the beautiful quiet Harbour. You will want to stay and get all Lenice's fabulous treatments! Today my Sister and myself had a very special treatment called the Ultimate Facial. This treatment lives up to its name! You get spoiled by luxurious gels and creams applied lovingly to your face followed up by soothing hot towels. Then you get your neck, back, head, shoulder and arm massaged. Omgosh, I think I fell asleep 55 times! You really need to treat yourself and go to Spa By Lenice when visiting Saltspring and make it a tradition. You can thank me later! read more

This was a very bad experience. She overfiled my nail beds, and put the gel on too thick. As a result when she used the light, it burnt so bad. Her attitude was " this happens to most people". She didn't seem to care. Very bad service, and a very bad and painful job. I don't know how she stays in business. read more

I received the worst massage of my life here -- and it was horrendously overpriced, about $99C. The guy started late because he was busy chatting with another employee, but finished at the hour mark on the dot, eager to leave -- so that $99C was for 40 minutes. The massage therapist seemed to have no knowledge of human anatomy, only applying forceful strokes when his hands were around my neck or when his fingers were, it seemed, attempting to burst my internal organs. At one point he seemed to get his hands tanbled in my hair, somehow; I actually wondered, Is he trying to massage my hair for some bizarre reason? The worst thing about him was that he had no human touch; it was as if he had prosthetic hands, or hooks at the ends of his wrists. I simply cannot understand how he could possibly have been approved by the owner of this business. Overall, this place was a nightmare and a rip-off. There are apparently some good massage therapists on SSI, but my experience here was terrible. You have been warned. read more

I've been to Spa by Lenice a couple times - the first time was a few years back for a couples massage, it was absolutely amazing!!! The staff were so professional, and we felt so rejuvenated after our massage! My second experience was last month - I phoned in to book an appointment for my mom for her birthday, Lenice was so helpful, and my mom LOVED her mani pedi and massage. Last week, I was in town and needed my armpits waxed. I didn't have an appointment, but Lenice was able to get me in for a quick wax within 20 mins, and I was out in 5. Lenice is so sweet, and her service is so professional and so great! I definitely recommend seeing Lenice when you're on the island. You'll have a spectacular experience! :) Did I mention the spa itself is beautiful?? Go here! You won't regret it. read more

I found Spa by Lenice thru Google, and went in for my first ever gel nails. Lenice herself did the nails, and she did a fabulous job. The spa itself is right on the harbour, looking out over the marina. This adds to the ambience, of course. All the staff are incredibly friendly and relaxed, as are the customers. They offer manicures, pedicures and massage - plus a full line of natural cosmetic creams. read more

My back was aching so I made an appointment for a massage. I arrived and was met by my therapist who never introduced herself. She took me to a room, gave me a very half hearted massage, ignoring my special request for lower back pain. At the end she asked me if I wanted a glass of water. I said yes. She walked out of the room and I never saw her again. No glass of water, no thank you have a nice day. Poor service for the price. I cannot recommend this place. read more

Had gel nails done today at Spa by Lenice. BEST GEL NAILS EVER! Better than anywhere I've been back in Calgary. They have such a natural looking shape. Not too thick, and a lovely polish. Lenice is a gem, she makes you feel so welcome and pampered. I highly recommend Spa by Lenice! read more

I took an elderly lady here for a pedicure & the woman used two products on her without explaining that they were not included in the pedicure, the cost of them & that by using them the woman was obligated to pay for them. There was no offer of an apology or a discount. It tripled the cost of the pedicure & left a very bad feeling about the place for both of us. I would not go there, nor would I recommend it. read more

I lived on Salt Spring Island for a year, and visited Spa by Lenice regularly. Lenice is a beautiful woman - both internally and externally - and provides excellent service. Her shop is in an amazing location and the atmosphere in her shop is very positive - energizing AND relaxing! I strongly recommend visiting her shop if you are on Salt Spring Island. read more

Apparently if your nails are not already long, she can't do gel nails. I have never heard of this before. Seems a little strange to me. If my nails were already long, why on earth would I be coming for gel nails??? read more

The best massage EVER!! And a newly renovated space right on the water.

I am visiting Spa by Lenice every 3 weeks for Sauna, Massage as well as Manicure and Pedicure. The staff is knowledgeable and very friendly. After all my treatments I feel like a "new person". I am always looking forward to be pampered again at my next round of relaxing treatments. read more

worst mani-pedi off my life. chatty, distracted employee administered knicks and cuts to my hands and feet, called in "pampering" to add insult to injury. seriously, someone who chops off nails and skins your fingers when you have asked them to file your nails, delivers a half hearted 30-second massage for your spa message, and buffs your feet so that it BLEEDS should get another job. the place is down to half its size.. probably the poor service keeping folks away... read more
