I was so impressed with both her professionalism and her warmth. The Spa only serves one client at a time so it makes for an even more tranquil environment. I have had several Gel manicures and have been impressed with the care Emily takes and the quality of her work. My nails look beautiful even after three weeks of gardening. I'm fussy about cleanliness so was so pleased to see that the instruments are sterile and files etc. are one time use. I have also had an eyelash tint and perm. Emily made the experience seem less. She was so gentle I started to doze off. Again the results were beautiful. I can't recommend this Spa highly enough and primarily because of Emily. Thank you for creating an oasis in what can be a very stressful world.

I've been to spa time on numerous occasions and I've had both great experiences as well as bad ones…read moredepending on the aesthetician. Every experience I've had with Crystal has been great. She's very warm and friendly, and I've always gone away satisfied with my nails. The one experience I had with Ashley was also very good as well. However I haven't had very good experiences with some of the other aestheticians. One of the aestheticians started out with the wrong colour and then had to remove it which I found a little annoying. However today was probably the worst experience I had there. I had a gel manicure appointment with their junior aesthetician. Only after just walking out did I realize that she had missed the very tips of my nails. So I decided to go back in so she could fix it. However after fixing it, my nails just had a dark streak at the top, which I also pointed out. After that she decided to remove the gel and start over. This time she made an obvious effort to be meticulous (which was appreciated). But because of this, a 45 minute manicure turned into a 2.5 hour manicure. Then when I left a second time, I noticed air bubbles. Tired from being there 2 hours already and not seeing a solution, I just decided to go home. That's not to say anyone should write this place off completely. The customer service and relaxing atmosphere are great, and if you get the right aesthetician, they do a good job. But altogether, I guess they're a little inconsistent.

I had no idea what to expect. When I used to live in Tsawwassen I was going to another well known…read morespa and always enjoyed it. I had received a gift certificate around Christmas and wasn't able to use it until recently I have to say that I was really impressed. I came in and was immediately greeted. They asked if I wanted a drink and I requested tea. I have to say, the tea was incredible. I would go back just for the tea. I've had many manicures before, but never has a manicure lasted so long without chipping. Granted, I had the week off. Even still, I'm a girl who very rarely has nail polish on and use my nails for many things. The polish lasted 1.5 weeks until truly chipping The lady who did my nails was wonderful, we talked the entire time and I enjoyed that. Sometimes I don't want to talk, but this time I found it enjoyable. I would definitely go back and recommend this place to all my friends.

This review is for the Madrona Del Mar Spa…read more Quite disappointed in this spa. I left irritated, the opposite of what I expected (and paid for). The positive: clean place, and the massage by Eric was magnificent. Highly, highly recommend him. The negative: The half hour steam treatment involved getting in and starting the steam room from room temperature. It took half an hour just to get it steamy then had to leave because the treatment was 1/2 hour. Also to add the stone seating was icy cold, though after I finished shivering, I found that as a benefit once it started getting warm in the room. The *Anti-relaxing float tank (for me anyway). Paying full price for said hour of anti-relaxing (my head did not float and thus my neck really started to hurt and salt oozed its way to my eyes... no position helped the relaxing. I spent some time flailing around until realizing that it wasn't going to work). The mega hot dressing room because of no ventilation. Putting fresh clothes on while sweating? Ew. Constructive feedback: Q-tips in the bathroom to get all the water and salt out of the ears, a cooling fan in the change room, and have the steam room ready for the guest so that they actually get something out of it. Maybe an instruction book on what to do in case your body doesn't float like everyone else? Or at least someone nearby who can help. And maybe not fully charge/offer something else to those who don't enjoy any/all of their service. Side note: I was offered a steam room treatment as a token but I already had it...

I thought we would have to cancel our reservation because we have a dog and we had to check out of our Airbnb. However, the owner graciously allowed us to bring our pup to the Inn and have her hang out in the conference room. It was so kind of her & we really appreciated it. Also, massage was GREAT! We also tried out the flotation therapy (using a groupon!) and that was as neat experience too. We were very pleased with our time at the spa and I'd definitely recommend it. Last thing: I lost our printed receipts for our massages. Since I needed to hand in a copy for insurance, I emailed them asking for a PDF and they emailed to me in no time. Great service!

I would not recommend Matisse day spa for a pedicure manicure. There are so many reasons why I do…read morenot recommend it. First being there are only two technicians and it's difficult to get in. The second is they don't use gel polish they use shellac, which is not just a name change it's a difference in the strength of the polish it leaves your nails weaker therefore they break easier. Third you have to book an appointment to takeoff your previous nail polish. If you have any on at a cost of $22 absolutely ridiculous that's on top of your pedicure manicure. If you miss booking the nail polish remover, they will not finish her appointment so you could leave there with only a pedicure or manicure- if they run out of time, they simply will not finish. And last but not least the management is downright rude. When I mentioned that I was charged $44 for nail polish remover on top of my pedicure manicure, they also put in my last review that they took care of it, but they never called me back and I had to phone them back - they finally credited me back $20 but again I would never go back. The building itself is old dusty. It is not comfortable to get a pedicure while you're sitting in an old chair and you have to move your leg around a bar. furthermore, there's no massage chair very expensive.
