This review is specifically for Annabella in Studio 17! I've been to so many hair stylists over the years and very few of them compare to the care and professionalism that Annabella provides during your session. I came here on several personal recommendations that boasted of her ability to safely lift hair from black to blonde. I was ambitious and despite my damaged locks, I was determined to get as close to silver as possible. I messaged Amanda on Instagram to set up an appointment. Homegirl is BOOKED for months... so definitely reach out to her even before you're considering your treatment because she is always booked with appointments! Prior to the session, she asked me to send photos of my current hair along with desired color and style so she could give a virtual consultation. Based off of that information, she was able to give me a general quote for the cost so that I could prepare. The session itself is L O N G! Please eat breakfast before coming over unless you're used to intermittent fasting because it is EIGHT hours long. She first inspected my hair, explained what the realistic expectations would be as far as the lightening process would go, and also told me what she was doing during each of the steps. I really appreciated her thoroughness and despite having colored my hair many times before, I really liked that she would explain each step so you weren't sitting there wondering what she was doing. What separates Annabella from other stylists is certainly her extreme attention to detail. I'm no stranger to having several hundreds of foils throughout my head, but she takes the tiniest bunches of hair to make sure that each strand is properly coated with bleach. I also really liked that she used very expensive products to justify the cost of the session, such as Olaplex. Aside from everything else, she is the sweetest and friendliest stylist I've ever had the pleasure of working with! Eight hours easily rolled by because she had no problem striking up a conversation or keeping it going for just about any and all topics! If you don't prefer much interaction, she's happy to offer her remote control so you can watch whatever you want on the tv. A friend of mine even brought her Nintendo Switch to one of her sessions... so no judgment there! Overall, I am so extremely pleased with my hair and am so glad I finally got the chance to book with her. 10/10 would recommend to everyone looking to achieve their hair goals! Hi, this is for Erickah in Studio 17! Her IG is @coloredbyerickah! I was so blown away by not only how incredible she is with hair, but how sweet she is as an individual. For the 6.5 hours that I was there I realized how down to earth, generous, and kind she truly is! I felt like I made a new friend and I never had an experience like this with a hairdresser in the past. She was so open to any idea I had for my hair and she even helped me envision what a subtle blue would look like on my hair. Normally I get self conscious when I see a new hairdresser bc of how long and thick my hair is, but she was super gung ho about it and was more than happy to help. I also didn't feel rushed bc she said she usually books people one at a time if they're asking for a hair transformation. In the pics you can see how ROUGH my hair was looking, I started the pandemic with a balayage/teal hair, & waited for the right time to seek out a new person to fix this quarantine mess on my head lol. She did it fabulously and now I feel so confident. The studio is also well kept, clean/sanitized, and of course masks were required :) She even gave me one of her disposable masks so I don't get hair dye on my reusable one. For the hours I was there, she provided me with lots of snacks, beverages, and we watched Netflix all day, again I feel like I made a new friend through all that haha, of course I ate out in the hall, which was also clean and not filled with a lot of people. The restrooms are also clean which I really appreciated as well. If you come here, book with Erickah! You won't regret it, I promise you! Her prices are also great and I believe she really does your hair transformation all in one day (so def eat a big meal before coming), if you do get hungry, rest assured, she has a fridge filled to help you out! read more

I made a hair appointment with Amanda to get my hair lighter which was in June I showed her the picture of what I wanted and she did something different I paid 250 for the first session. She told me that by the next session I would get the desired look I wanted so I trusted her and booked another appointment with her July 13 at 2pm I texted her to confirm my appointment with her and she texted me back saying she double booked and she wouldn't take me in. I waited a whole month to get my hair done for a trip and she tells me the day of she can't take me in. She would have to reschedule me. Not only did she not give me something completely different from what I asked for she double booked and told me she couldn't take me in. Super unprofessional! Took my daughters to get serviced by Vennice. She is their Deva Curl hair guru. She helps with their curly hair and cuts their hair the way curly hair should be cut to keep its natural bounce and volume. We have been going to see Vennice for the last 3 years and totally recommend her. Her spot is cute and totally clean. I wouldn't trust their hair to anyone else. Each hair specialist has their own private working stations equipped with their own hair washing sinks and decor. It's something I haven't seen before but do appreciate. Gives one the 1-to-1 attention from the stylist without the usual salon background noise of other stylists and clients. Each stylist does their own maintenance but their room is theirs. First time EVER doing any color to my hair (professional or box dye) and came across Amanda Basto aka @badgal.beautyy. Like I said, I've kept my natural black hair all my life and finally decided it was time for a change, but wanted to maintain something natural and low maintenance, but still go lighter since I was tired of dark hair. I heard about Amanda through a mutual and browsed her IG and immediately DMed her through IG. She responded fairly quickly and asked to see pics of my natural hair and an idea of what I wanted. By the time my appointment rolled around, we had settled on natural dimension balayage and I told her I completely trusted her work and her opinion based on my hair. Let me tell you, she did NOT let me down. So I have my hair done by Anne (hairbyannechau) real name Joanne Chau . So I requested a balayage the last picture is what I asked her for 1st picture is what she did 2nd picture is my hair before she touched it , so i came to see her 6/26/2020 I was charged $300 for the service . When I came I was waiting inside my car for about 15 minutes since she forgot her keys at home and her husband was gonna stop by and dropped them off , so our appointment started late , she finish putting fouls around 10:45 she was behind on her appointments a lady walked in while she was doing my hair and she told her she would be with her soon that she will come and get her anyways long story she rushed me to start her other customer , and my hair wasn't process how it was supposed to she used a 30 volume developer , she rushed everything because she was behind so my hair was blotchy the blending was horrible she drop bleach on some peace's so there's spots on my hair orange spots ! I'm a hair dresser so I know how hair process and how to blend hair she forgot to add color on some roots when I got home I contact her because I was pretty much rush to leave the salon . And I noticed the mess she did , I'm sorry but she needs to go back to school or something you guys be the judge , she should stop using filters when it comes to posting her work on social media .. she asked me to go back so she can fixed it but I live an hour away and I had to take the day off so she can do the procedure since she messed up my hair I was scared to waste gas and time so I asked her for my money back she only refunded me $140 now I need to pay more than $400 for someone to fix my hair :/ read more
