After some researching, I wanted somewhere that would do more than just wash and dry my hair. BBC Nashville for the bill. Allison was my stylist. I arrived, was offered coffee/tea and promptly taken to a quiet little room for my service. The lights were dim and relaxing music was playing. Allison came in and looked at my hair under a cool microscope thing. She then picked the right products to wash and nourish. I have a ton of hair and so just having someone wash and dry this mop us a treat. But the scalp massage was an added bonus. I almost fell asleep! Then she blew out my hair and it looked amazing. Such a great service and fair price. I don't know when I'll be back to Nashville but when I do count on me coming here again.

    I needed a rescue and Emaline and Betsy gave me that. It was a bit a dye-r situation (see what I…read moredid there? ;)). I posted in a Facebook group about anyone having any openings that day. Pony reached out to me and told me that Emaline had an opening at 1pm. I put out the post around 10:30am. Timing worked out. The location was a couple of minutes from my house, and I had never noticed this salon driving down 8th. Alright, let's do it. Between the time of my arrival and the time we confirmed the appointment via Facebook messenger, someone from the salon reached out to me directly via phone. He explained to me what to expect with their covid guidelines and what to expect with my email and texting system. They send out a confirmation email day of appointment to confirm if you're still able to attend. Since mine was the same day, I still go the text. The waiver that is sent via email is basically you confirming that you do not have covid and you're not putting the salon at liability for the virus. Upon arrival, you call and they let you in. You immediately directed to a sink to wash your hands. A mask is required upon entry and you are mandatory to wear it the duration of your visit. The employees also wear their masks and the booths are spread out to provide social distancing. Earlier this week, I was a hair model for a student apprentice at another salon. She was super nice and I enjoyed my visit with the apprentice, but what I signed up for was not the result I got. Needless to say, a color correction was needed in order to remedy my hair situation. I was not meant to be a red head and I wanted to get something more in the color realm that I was planning to be initially. Emaline was a heaven-sent. Betsy, the owner, was right there with her as well. Emaline is Betsy's apprentice, but has been working at the salon for 3 year and 2 of them as a cosmetologist. Betsy has been doing hair for 20 something years and has owned her salon for about the same amount of time. BBC are her initials. I could not name the list of services that they did, but what I can say is that they did a damn great job and that it took them a better half of 4 hours to get everything done. They took my fire red to a subtle brown with blonde highlights. My hair is a shinier version of my natural color that looks sun kissed. They used a permanent color, foils, and a strong conditioner that helps with split ends that won't damage my hair. It took a lot to get it back to something reasonable that would be more natural looking and less abstract for my taste. I am all about crazy hair colors as I have sported many in my time, but I am graduating in 3 months and I need something natural looking for the sake of my graduation photos. Plus, I want something that is maintainable. This is going to be a hair color I can maintain for quite a while and won't require repeat bi-weekly visits to keep the vibrancy. I think the highlight of my visit aside from Evaline's wonderful head massage in the sink was the conversations had. Everyone is so chill in the establishment. They are genuine in their intentions and they are truly customer oriented to ensure you are getting the service that you want. I was grateful for the consultation we went over before getting my hair done, and it only solidified my happiness with the end result. I look forward to returning and experiencing more services from BBC Salon. For the record, they offer quite a few services including vegan sunless tanning, waxing, eye brow tinting, hair + scalp treatments, and lash lifts. This truly is a go-to for all your needs. Lastly, Betsy sent me away with a goodie bag. She said that new clients get to take home a single product as a 'thank you' for visiting. She also gave me some shampoo samples that would be good for my hair. I like the shampoo a lot! They have some good products that cater to their clients. Check it out!

Mine is hard to come by and I waited a very long time to get my hair done just to have it done wrong. I stopped in to CoCapelli mid June because I was searching for someone that specialized in platinum blonde color. I found Alivia on their website and stopped in to see if I could get a consultation scheduled. I was informed that she was out with a broken arm and a different stylist was recommended. I told the receptionist that I have complex hair, need someone very well versed in platinums and I wanted to make sure the stylist I got had over 10 years experience. She assured me the stylist she was recommending was the right fit, scheduled an appointment for my hair to get color on July 19th. I reached out to this stylist and requested a consultation in advance to make sure she fully knew what I was wanting done and could see why I was letting my natural light brown color grow out since last year. She texted me back that a consultation was not necessary, I was going to be her last appointment that day and we'd have plenty of time to talk. Red flag #1. I did send her pictures of my current hair color, and the pictures of what I was trying to achieve with putting some platinum in it but not wanting a lot of that because I had to have very low maintenance color, I could not come back every 8 weeks to get my color redone. I wanted to have it mostly my natural light brown color with some platinum added in for dimension and high contrast. So I get to my 1:00 appointment and meet her, very sweet, but I find out that I am no longer the last appointment, she is saying I was booked for foils and should have been booked for balayage and we have to get going. Red flag #2.... I did ask if I should reschedule, and she said no no no, we can make this work. I once again showed her the pictures of brown hair with some streaks of platinum worked in but a lot of the base color was still there and there was a lot of contrast between that and the platinum. When we got back to the chair after color, wash and rinse, she had a heck of a time brushing out my hair. It was very snarled from all the back combing and she wasn't hurting my scalp pulling my hair so hard but I was concerned it was stretching freshly colored hair and damaging it (later I find out I do have broken hair!). We finally got it brushed out and then started talking about a cut but by now we were quickly running out of time. She cut the back in a V like I asked her to, trimmed the sides but after talking about point cutting my bangs, never got around to it. She started blow drying my hair and just kept saying "oh it's so pretty" over and over - Red flag again. When I looked in the mirror, I commented about how much blonde there was and she said "all I did was follow what your previous stylist did". My heart sank. If I wanted that, I would have gone to my previous stylist and that's not at all what I asked you to do. By the time she got the blow dry done, I was speechless. Most and I do mean most, of my light brown hair was all gone. She put so much blonde in my hair and then all of my bangs are now bright yellow and there is this lovely (NOT) orange glow on the top of my head that I couldn't hide if I wanted to. I tried to like it, for her sake. She put a lot of work into it and a lot of time but it's not what I wanted, I've had the overall blonde look before, many times, it's not what I wanted at all and not what I waited 10 months for. And then she was in such a hurry to get out of there that she didn't even tell me about the product she recommended at the start of the appointment that would help take care of my hair after she did it. I had a trim scheduled for September but by the time Tuesday rolled around I was too upset after having to look at this mess all weekend. I called Tuesday to cancel that appointment and the receptionist that answered is the same one that was there when I got my hair done. I told her to cancel my cut, I'm not coming back. She asked why and kept pushing until I told her. She said they are very customer service oriented and truly care about their clients there and their happiness and that she'd have the owner call me about it and try and fix it. Well it's now been over 2 weeks since that phone call and there has been no phone call from anyone and no text messages so it's obvious they don't care about their clients. They got my money once but it will never happen twice. Now I have to start all over again trying to get my natural color to grow back out with all this blonde, it's going to look awful! Upsetting experience here!

I told them we didn't have a preference on who we saw, we just wanted to go in together. We were able to get in within a couple hours. Parking is right out front in the lot, so it's super easy. Easy check in and scheduling process. They have so many stylists it's easy to get an appointment when you need it. My sister and I were both so happy with our experience. We'll be back!
