So THIS WAS MY FIRST SPRAY TAN EVER IN MY WHOLE LIFE. (this far) I AM BEYOND SURPRISED AND SATISFIED. I am IN LOVE WITH THE RESULTS. Thank you so much Sara for walking me through what the process was going to be like, and making me feel so comfortable with my visit! After today, I definitely want to start getting spray tans. I just cannot get out the mirror. My feet look so cute my hands, everything. MY WHOLE BODY GOT ME IN AWE. My legs look airbrushed & flawless I honestly feel tapped back into my childhood when I'd be outside in the sun for hours! I've gotten so many compliments from my family memebers. The tan was seamlessly applied and she did such a GREAT JOB! I can't believe it honestly. This is so crazy to me. I FEEL GREAT Sara you did such a wonderful job! What an absolutely wonderful experience! I cannot speak to all the associates, but was helped by Megan (spelling?) who was an absolute doll. I originally made an appointment online for a full body tan. About an hour before my appointment, I called to see if I could come in earlier, and Megan was more than willing to squeeze me in. When I got there, I was immediately greeted by Megan who explained the different types of tan they offered. She was honest, and told me that although I chose the most expensive tan, the step below would probably be best for my skin type. As I had never gotten a spray tan before, she made sure to explain the entire process, start to finish. After a quick twice over and a sealing anti-aging spray, I was ready to go. She went over aftercare with me carefully, and offered to answer any questions. As instructed, I showered after 12 hours and was blown away by the results. I looked like I had spent a week in Aruba. No orange, no running colors, no spots or streaks, just the perfect tan. And the cherry on top was that my skin was so smooth and felt so hydrated. As long as you don't mind spending $60 (without tip....which by the way if you do not tip someone who artist-fully sprays your naked body, there is something wrong with you), you should def check this out! I came in for my first appointment and unfortunately they were understaffed. The person working chose to keep answering the phone versus helping the 2 people in front of her and everything was delayed. I had never been and she didn't explain anything because she was flustered and stressed and after I got into the room, naked, I waited for 10 minutes. Needless to say, not a great experience. It's not the persons fault because she chose to show up to work, but training on customer service and timeliness needs work at the salon. The tan ended up decent. I was splotched in quite a few places but for my event, it was ok. I won't be going back anytime soon. read more

I needed a little color before going to the Detroit Auto show. I was wearing a cocktail dress with no hose in the middle of winter- Yikes!!!!! I had never been to Sol potion and it was easy to find right on Woodward. Walked in and the space was so modern and clean. Loved the Vibe!!!!! Michelle was the person who helped me. She was super friendly and made me feel very comfortable about what to do and what to expect during the spray tan. I was given sticky flip flops, a hair net, and wipes to make sure I was prepped and ready to go. Michelle chose a color that best suited me and applied the spray tan. She expertly directed me on how to move and position myself so that the tan would look natural and be applied evenly. She really knew what she was doing. The end result was fantastic. I had an even looking tan that was the perfect color. Very natural looking! It lasted for about 6 days and slowly faded away. Their previous location was good, but the Woodward Ave spot is perfect for a quick in-and-out session. Bonus: Online scheduling for easy access. The airbrush will look flawless, and they have a variety of 'potions' to choose from, depending on the darkness you are looking for. The owner is exceptionally nice and friendly and makes the experience comfortable and easy. If you have ever been in one of those weird Mystic Tan booths, you know how disastrous those can be. One airbrush and you'll be hooked. You can do just an upper body, or just a lower body, in addition to a full body (good for winter time when you just want a glowing complexion). I went in to see Michelle, the owner to get some color for Valentine's Day and warm up my winter skin. The place is great. Michelle knew exactly what color she was going to use on me. I like the fact that they custom create your color and keep it on file. The whole experience was really comfortable and relaxing considering your pretty much neked from head to toe! The process was quick and easy. Immediately after I felt like a beautiful bronze goddess! After my first shower the color still looked just as great and was very even. I am insanely pale. I had an issue with a melanoma a few years back so I do my best to stay out of the sun. That being said - there is just something about having a nice fresh tan. You feel thinner, happier and just more confident about yourself. I have been tanned by two different technicians here. Both were super nice. You are basically standing naked in front of them so you want to feel comfortable! They custom mix your shade and keep it on file for future visits. Last time I was in my tan didn't turn out exactly how I wanted and their customer service was amazing. Red tinted tans and they always miss parts of your body. I requested the darkest shade because I am a model and do a lot of HD Video and Pictures and they messed me up twice so I'm not ever going back again! I left the tan on for 12 hours before I rinsed off! So unhappy and more work and money on me to go fix this somewhere else before my shoot! read more

I just returned from 10 days in Mexico. Before I went, I wanted to get a little color on my pale Michigan skin. I have been here four times. 2 times for full body spray and 2 times for just legs. The technicians are very nice and make you completely comfortable, despite the fact that you are standing almost completely naked in front of them. 3 out of the 4 visits, I had a great natural tan, which lasted about 5/6 days. On one visit however, my tan began to become "leopard like" the second day? I didn't do anything differently, so I was disappointed. I recommend that you purchase their body lotion, so that you can protect and hopefully extend your spray tan. read more

I am very happy with my spray tan experience. I stopped by early in the day to make an appointment and find out details. The place was very clean and professional. One of the owners greeted me (she didn't have an overdone spray tan) and answered all my questions. She wasn't trying to sell me anything but really wanted educate me on how to get the longest life out of my tan. I did buy the exfoliant which smelled amazing. Anyway, I went home and prepped for my spray tan. By far the most professional and comfortable spray tan I've had. She was quick, thorough and affordable. I got married this past Saturday and of course waited until the day before to get my spray tan. I called in the early afternoon and they found a time to squeeze me in. All at the salon were very friendly and made sure my tan was perfect for a sun kissed look for my winter wedding. The lady who assisted me was very friendly and I did feel very comfortable throughout my session. I am VERY pale. She recommended the lightest shade so I went with that. The tan was applied unevenly and I was trying to scrub certain areas to make it less noticeable and I looked pretty orange for a couple days. In town for a vacation but going to the lake with friends. With my Larry Bird like skin I needed some tanning but not so easy if you have skin like me. I'm 56 and the result was excellent. Lori did my spraying and she is also the owner. Nice as can be, professional and she did a great job. I was pretty much at her mercy because I know nothing about this art. She recommended the color and gave me stick on foot sandals and left me alone to get ready. I stripped to my boxers and put a little lotion on each nail and was ready to go. She gives you directions on every aspect and it's easy and pretty fast. The spray is a little cool, no smell and she gives you directions for after. Avoid sweating, no showering for 12 hours, avoid rubbing your palm against your skin etc. My tan looks very natural and the price is great. Salon itself is very nice and clean, after setting up an appointment they send you a text message reminder. Try it, you'll like it and no risk like the sun. read more
