It was a slippery trek but we saw a car parked in the lot we knew an employee was just waiting for someone to show, who likes standing around with nothing to do. Unable to make it through the drive through we zipped up our jackets and pulled our beanies tight. It was a cold careful walk to the window where our server waited eager to take an order. Even with freezing temperatures and frozen custard being served the whole experience was filled with warmth and joy as we scurried to the car to enjoyed our frozen treats. It's the kind of place you want to hang out in. Now, full disclosure, I'm a bit of a gelato snob. Same with the tiramisu, which leaned more sweet than flavorful. One thing I've noticed with great gelato is that it usually leans less sweet and lets the natural ingredients carry the flavor, especially with something like pistachio, where you want that nutty depth to come through. My recommendation fire your shift manager they're not doing their job Fire the person responsible for the quality checks. They're not doing their job. Write up your store manager with an improvement plan to correct these failure if you're still having this problem in 3 to 6 months fire them To ownership overall you're responsible for how your business performs. Take my $14.36 and apply it to your training budget to train your people better. This may sound tough, but this is what I would do to my managers.
