I found soho lash on groupon through a deal. In the beginning I was satisfied with my lashes (the 1 star is for Ella the technician, she is very good at what she does) even recommended a few friends. First they didn't tell me I could get 20% off when I refer people (you are welcome for the 3 clients, that also chose not to go back) I went in late September to have my lashes done and the very next day lashes were falling off left and right. I didn't call because I figured this was just a one time thing and I would give them another chance. After paying over $80 plus the $20 tip, I had to make an appointment 2 weeks later because I practically had no lashes left (usually it's 3 weeks). I go in after 2 weeks to fill them in, literally the next day it seemed like half my lashes fell off, I was not happy. I called them and they were accommodating in arranging to fix it free of charge. I go in and the tech spends over 90 min filling the lashes (which was a little weird to me considering I had just got them done 2 days prior) when I'm ready to leave the receptionist tells me that I should tip the tech well since she spent so much time on my lashes (I tipped well 2 days prior during my initial appointment). Honestly soho lashes messed up and I should not be expected to tip on bad work. I agree with other reviews in that they only want your money. I recommended 3 people and we all agreed to not return. read more

I've been coming to Soho Lashes for well over a year now. The first visit was through groupon. I wasn't expecting great service because I had a coupon but their service was beyond expectations. I was seen by Ella and she did an amazing job. I have very sparse eyelashes with no curls but Ella worked her magic and my lashes lasted for well over 2-3 months! I did experience some falling off within a few weeks but that's normal. I've gotten my lashes done at numerous places but they always fall off within a few days. My second visit was coincidentally during my birthday month and I was offered a discount. I saw Ella again and she didn't fail to amaze me. I actually fell asleep while she was working on me (and woke up from my own snoring! I thought the workers would laugh at me but they didn't. Very professional!). You can tell someone does a great job when you can actually trust her and fall asleep safe in her hands. All in all, I highly recommend Ella. She does an amazing job and the lashes last a long time. As I read through the reviews, I'm sad to see those 1 stars bring down the average stars for Soho Lashes. Clearly a couple are false reviews IMO. I have gone to many places from the city to Queens and all over Long Island. The only place I've been a repeat customer to is in the city. But now that's too far to travel. Great Neck is a bit far from me as well, but I tried them out and now I'm going for my 3rd visit tomorrow. Here's my summary: 1. Very thoughtful when scheduling an appointment. They text you all their info, details on location, confirmation etc. I love this. 2. Very clean and nice office. 2 beds side by side so not really private, but it's fine, rarely have I been to any that are truly private. The bed is comfortable and music is nice. 3. The initial consultation was new to me and I also appreciated this. They show you a little chart with the types of lashes and styles. I've never had this before. They make recommendations based on your needs. Even if it means not buying their most expensive package. I was thinking of trying their newest quality lash and spending more money, but they advised me to wait and see how the regular ones work first because I might be happy with them. 50% off first visit btw. no need for Groupon. 4. On that note, I've been very happy with my lashes. They are lasting a reasonable amount of time. My first visit I went with a natural look J curl at 11-12 length, cute style. very pretty and natural looking. Next visit I decided to try c curl and a little longer. Also very pretty and I'm going for my 3 week fill in tomorrow with a very good amount remaining. I'm not looking weird just yet. lol. 5. You get what you pay for. Soho Lashes is not the least expensive place, but I've tried those places and have come out only partially satisfied. Soho Lashes is very reasonable in price for what they provide. It's actually a bit more than I can afford to pay so I've been cutting out extras to afford my 3 week fill ins. because I love them. I was nervous at first being that it was my first time getting eyelash extensions. I was getting them for New Year's Eve and called to make an appointment a few weeks before. The process was extremely relaxing. I actually fell asleep during it! It went relatively quick - maybe 45 minutes. Then the moment of truth - I loved them! The extensions came out amazing. They were exactly what I wanted. I was worried they wouldn't stay in or pull out my lashes - I've heard some horror stories. None of my worries came true. The lashes stayed put for about 3 weeks coming up on 4 weeks. My natural lashes didn't look different after the extensions all fell out. I would absolutely recommend to anyone hesitant. The only reason this place is losing a star is because the receptionist originally texted me saying my appointment was cancelled. But after the brief dilemma I ended up keeping my original appointment. When I went I was greeted by my technician Sammy who is the sweetest person ever. She even gave me all of my options and told me the price for each thing first hand. I upgraded to mink from my groupon and that was the best decision. It was $15 extra dollars but totally worth it. I went in for a 3 week fill in with Katie today. Originally I had the 70 each eye, mink lashes. The lashes held up pretty well! I did plenty of water activities like snorkeling and swimming while on vacation the following day, and didn't lose much lashes. The service was great and they give a lot of options. I got the mink lashes and it looked so nice and natural after! The place itself was also clean. The only downside is finding the place. When you place the address given into google maps, it leads you a couple blocks too far. So difficult to make appointments here with a Groupon! I've tried calling four-five times and eventually had to end up exchanging my Groupon because it was about to expire and I could not make an appointment. The one time they did have an opening, I was informed that they were not accepting groupons that month. The man I talked to said he would ask Groupon to extend the expiration date and would call me back. The date was extended but he never called me back. Great service! nice cozy and clean atmosphere with very friendly employees you should definitely make a reservation before you go but im sure theyd be cool if you couldnt. not sure how waiting would be on reguar basis but i made a reservation so i got it done as soon as i walked in. i was a bit worried about trying new place and since ive had some experience with lashes somewhere else (visible glue lines and horrible angles) BUT! my friend actually recommended me to this place and even though i was very anal about how exactly how i want mine to be done and was being a bit annoying truthfully this one korean lady was very patient with me. they would explain step by step of all my choice of lengths and such and also explain why/ hpw the other plade screwed up. and obviously i got the results exactly how i wanted it! it looks natural and it didnt hurt/ burn or anything whereas compare to my bad experince with other place (id be giving them piece of my mind on their yelp page) i waited to see how it would look 2 weeks after and it still looks pretty neat! So I found these guys through yelp. Long story short call them and get on the phone with some dude. Couldn't really hear the dude so well, and I kept asking him to repeat himself (which is annoying on my part, I know). However we finally get to a point where I wanted to book an appointment, he offers me a certain time, that I couldn't hear so well, so I basically define the time for him (you know when you spell a word out and say things like B as in boy, yatta yatta) told him that "sorry, that's a bit too late for me" Dude just straight up hangs up. So of course I call him back. Start of with "Come on dude what the hell, don't hang up on me just because I can't do that one time". He proceeds to be pretty shitty, not liking my language (lol cause "hell") when he was the one who just hung up for no reason (with the "thanks for calling" bs and all). Would never recommend this place to anyone, the guy who answers the phone is so rude and disrespectful and changes the prices from what he originally gives you... Was looking to have my lashes done so I called to make an Appointment. The guy called me back and I asked him how much it was for a full set of mink lashes. He told me for a full set it $110 and 50% off of your first set which will bring your it to $55 and then he said for the cashmere lashes it is $140and with the 50%off it will be $70 for a full set. I asked how many lashes per eye and he said 140-160. Then I said how much for mink full set of 110 lashes per eye... this is where our issues started he said it's $200 and with the discount it will be $130. I asked how is that 50% off. He says I don't know why we are arguing here. I told him, we are not arguing, I am simply asking you how much a service is and you keep changing what you say when I ask about more lashes, you are making it more confusing then it should be. He said forget about what I said before it will be $130, I didn't say you get 50% and before I could ask or say another word he just hung up the phone. This is how they treat a new client wanted to come to their establishment then NO THANK YOU... I don't need to pay good money to get disrespected and hung up on. The girl who did my lashes, Sammie i think, was wonderful. The place is small, but very cozy. They were also very punctual, i waited maybe 5 minutes the most. The technician did a great job, they look very beautiful and I can't wait to go back!! I was a lil disappointed when they told me my voucher for 140 lashes was 70 per eye, as I thought I was getting 140 per eye. However, after seeing how it looked with just 70 lashes per eye I was very happy with the results. I should have read the groupon more carefully but I am still very happy with my results. I am def upgrading to more lashes next time and I can't wait to see how fabulous it will look. They did a great job so I'm confident my touch up will be a good experience as well. Got lashes here a few days ago and they have all but fallen out. Similar to other reviews, I also noticed an asymmetry in my eyes (the left eye has more lashes than the right and they get longer at the end where as the right do not). Overall will not be going back but will definitely be trying somewhere new as I'm determined to get the results I'm hoping for! read more

Worst experience ever. I bought my deal through groupon. I went in and the girl ask me if I want to upgrade my lash to a better quality one. She gave me the samples to feel the difference, so of course the better one is more soft and looks more natural. I ended up paying $55(including $10 tips) to get their best quality one. As days go by, the lashes start to fall off, which is very normal. When I looked at the lashes that fell off, they are actually different from the ones I picked. She gave me the cheaper ones instead of the better quality ones I paid for. I can't believe I got scammed. This place is a fraud and scam. read more

I've been going to a lash extension place in a hair salon monthly since last July. It was all good until the last 2-3 months where it would fall out COMPLETELY within the week. So I decided to give this place a try. I loved the initiation consultation. I didn't feel pressured to do any of the upgrades and they actually told me to try the basic first. Honestly, I was very tempted to do the upgrade but decided to see how long these would last. Place is small but very clean and modern. Phones were asked to be turned off and talking is to a minimum. Bed is super comfy and nice music playing in background. Its a pretty relaxing environment. It's been 2 weeks and still going strong. I just made my next appt for my 4 weeks fill. I came here consistently for about a year. It started with a groupon. They were very accommodating and always tried to fit me in (I usually call a week in advance or in the week of but they are always quite busy). Sometimes it would be difficult to find parking since everyone in the area drives and it's a quarter for an hour at the meter, 2 hours max. I'll admit the call reminders and text reminders were a little annoying but I get it, sometimes people don't stick to their appointments. The thing that annoyed me was that every time I went, it was a different price. But I got the same thing every time. Sometimes I felt like they didn't put on as many lashes as I pay for. But it was always a breeze and sometimes I fall asleep. My last straw was when I filled up their little card with 10 visits and I was excited to get 50% off and even on my previous visit the receptionist said next time I get 50% off but then I didn't. They said because I purchased one of their packages, it didn't count and they just filled out the slots to remind me of my visits. No one ever said that to me.. Ever during my 10 visits. It is what it is but I vowed to never go again. Sucks because I truly hate having to experiment with new places. read more

She can be quick at times and longer other times so consistency is not always 100 percent but she definitely have skills. I actually really like her and she's always been very nice. My problem with this place is their inconsistent pricing and unaccomodating policy by the receptionist. At times I don't have time to go exactly at the three weeks mark to get a refill but they have a strict policy on this or else you have to get a whole new set at the full price of $110 even if it is one day past. Ouch! I don't undestand why I need a whole new set if I am only one day past three weeks and it is still very full. Meanwhile you can get a new set on groupon for $55 but they state that it is for new customers only. In the beginning they said they always have promos but as a returning customer, I can say that they are not as accommodating. Once they have you hooked they just want your money and not your business. Maybe they offer different prices to different clients because I overheard a lady going in for a 4 week refill/new set for around $80 bucks including removal of old lashes.
