This is a team of professionals that are excellent at understanding their clients needs and can easily navigate any obstacle that may come your way. Their care and attention makes you feel truly valued, unlike others who may leave you feeling more like a transaction. You can't help but feel like they are your family because they deeply care about everyone they work with. My wife and I love working with Sohail and his team. It's also evident that others do as well, whether it is the appraiser, the lender, an attorney, the HOA or an assistant. Everyone ends up sharing their appreciation for him and his company, and it's spontaneous, natural and sincere. I am not doing this company justice as I lack the ability to adequately convey how truly extraordinary they are in every aspect of buying and selling homes, which I can speak to as they have helped my wife and I sell and buy a home. 10 out of 10 highly recommend! read more

Working with Alison was an absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish. I had a challenging situation with a distressed investment property that needed a SIGNIFICANT amount of work. Alison not only exceeded expectations but completely blew them out of the water, by selling the property for well above the market rate. Her marketing strategy was nothing short of brilliant. They understood the unique potential of the property and presented it in a way that attracted the perfect investor-oriented buyer. Alison is a great communicator, keeping me informed every step of the way and handling all the details with professionalism and expertise. If you're looking for a real estate agent who is a master of their craft, a strategic marketer, and a pleasure to work with, I highly recommend Alison. read more

I lived in my home for 60 years. I never knew anything about selling. I interviewed four agents and chose Sohail. He had a plan. He laid everything out in our first visit. His people followed up religiously. Sohail communicated on an very frequent basis. We would occasionally disagree on process but he was RIGHT EVERY TIME! It got to be a matter of complete trust. Without exception. As a result, my house listed and sold within a month. Sohail's plan was absolute perfection and I received $50,000+ over my asking price. He left nothing to chance. His service was flawless. I made a great choice and would recommend him without question. read more

I'm concerned about the Sohail group's sloppiness and lack of principled structure. Plus, the uneducated, marble-mouth tone may not be optimal for representations beyond Skokie/Niles/Joliet type towns. Definitely seems like they run an unusual, borderline scammy business and gives me red flags all around. These folks called me twice. Once from 312-818-2978. Then again from 312-437-7799. Caller ID showed Sohail Group for both numbers . I finally picked up the second time out of anger and wanting to give them a piece of my mind. Both times (and an earlier call from months ago) inquired about some house for sale in Northbrook. I currently live in Texas and have never previously lived in Northbrook. Whoever it was that called was brutally inarticulate, and left little room for me to converse. After listening to his sledgehammer style vernacular, I provided feedback that I'm in Texas and don't appreciate the repeat calls. Rather than apologizing, he asked who else called and that he would let others in the office know not to call. Odd since I would expect someone representing Suhail group to show actionable ownership rather than to pass the buck. Must be representative of the firm overall. read more

Got a call from 312 437-7799 and googled it. It belongs to Sohail Salahuddin and is associated with this realty group. I live in Wisconsin and this number is in Chicago. Total cold call. I bought my house a year ago and I can only assume that they looked up recent properties that were purchased and wanted to buy my house. This is sleazy and I don't support this telemarking at all. If this review deters anybody from doing business with this scum then GOOD. read more

Sohail and his team are among the best in the industry. They are experts in this field - extremely in touch with the ever changing landscape of real estate. If you desire to sell your property and/or purchase your dream home, then Sohail, Don, and staff will make it happen, just like they did for me and my family. And they will do it in a very efficient and professional way. I cannot stress enough how happy my wife and I are with our decision to utilize the expertise of Sohail and his team during our endeavor. Local knowledge - Sohail takes a boots-on-the-ground approach. He is walking the markets, talking to the people, and studying the trends. He is very much in touch with local trends - down to what side of the street to buy. This is amazing considering the amount of area he covers. Process expertise - Sohail is very knowledgable on every topic that relates to selling and buying real estate. You will be walked through each step of the process with full explanations of everything that is going on. I have yet to stump him with any question. And I've actually witnessed him educate other realtors during our ordeal. Responsiveness is second to none. As a customer, you are kept aware of everything that is going on, and your questions are answered immediately. There is no 'slack' during any part of the process. Negotiation skills - in a word, awesome. This is where the services pretty much pay for themselves. Sohail has the art of negotiation down to a (sometimes frightening) science. Without getting into details of my specific transactions, I can say that I am extremely happy with the outcomes of both the sale of my home, and the purchase of the new one. Sohail, Don, and team - thank you for a terrific experience. read more

Sohail Real Estate Group did an outstanding job selling our home in this tough market. Our family has had many experiences with real estate companies and agents over the past 40 years from purchasing and selling numerous properties from single family homes to multiple unit buildings. Our agent Sohail Salhuddin and his team did a top notch job. We were extremely impressed from the start by their professionalism, dedication, timely responses, technology usage to market our home, keeping us informed with feedback after each and every showing, guiding us to set up our home in the most appealing way, and the glamorous open houses. When Sohail first presented us with his portfolio and how he would advertise our home we were pleasantly surprised at the many search engines and websites he would be using to expose our home to the public. In addition they used a professional photographer to take pictures of our home that really made our house look even better than ever. The pictures were put to music and a video was available to view on youtube.com. Potential buyers were really able to see and read about our home in detail, which made for showings to true potential buyers and not just people who were curious to check the house out. We instantly had interested people making appointments to see our home. There was never a dull moment. Sohail made countless appointments and after each appointment we would get a detailed email of who came to see the home and any feedback they provided. This was very encouraging, because you often wonder about who saw it and what they thought? The open houses were glamorous from the smells and sounds. Sohail had soft music playing, and pleasant smells as potential buyers entered the home. At one of the open houses he hosted a party with food and refreshments for the neighbors and interested buyers. Sohail and his team took an active interest from start to finish to make our home seen and to find the buyer who worked for us. We cannot say enough good things about Sohail Real Estate Group! We would recommend them to everyone! Their commitment to their customers and their level of dedication and hard work surpasses any other real estate company/agent we have ever worked with. read more

Sohail and his team were fantastic. Within a day or two he provided a comprehensive report of comparable properties to the home we were selling. This was a great tool to set an asking price. Sohail kept us informed throughout the entire process. His team set up showings and then reported back to us the impressions of the people that looked at the house. There were a couple of issues the village and V.A. (loan type) wanted us to take care of prior to closing. Sohail found the contractors and the work was done quickly and at a very reasonable price. This was really great as we were in a bit of a rush to have the issues taken care of so we could close. Sohail was always available and explained everything fully. He and his team worked very hard for us. I highly recommend using him and his group for all your real estate needs. read more

One of most professional transactions I've experienced. Sohail was thorough with every aspect of our listing, from market assessment to recommended fixes on the property. He even employed a photography team of 5 which included aerial photos of our deck. By far, we couldn't of asked for a better placement. Success is in the numbers. Our first offer came in on day two. When it was all said and done, he had generated 4 offers with a final closing price at 99% of asking. Well done team! Highly recommended. read more

DO NOT WORK WITH THIS REAL ESTATE GROUP. From the beginning, I was misinformed about the cost of the application fee and was not given a response as to why the $85 application fee, whichwas originally a fee for my roommates and I to apply collectively, changed upon application to actually $85 per person. After that this group completely ignored all communication from myself and my roommates until eventually informing us weeks later that we'd been denied. There was no explanation for anything. All of it feels like a complete scam, even if it isn't, they should really work on their customer service and how they work with future renters. Minimally, they should better communicate their policies. read more

We had an exceptional experience with Sohail and his team with the sale of our home. His attention to detail, knowledge of the market and personal attention were top notch. He constantly communicated with us, Always made time for our calls and reassured us during the ups and downs that come with selling your home in a timely manner. I can't say enough how happy we were to have him as our agent! Do not hesitate to call him when it comes to selling your home. He and his team will get it done! read more

If you want your home sold and fast, then Sohail and his team are the people you want by your side. In the middle of a pandemic when no one wanted to be out and no one wanted people in their homes, Sohail had an offer on our home the very first day he put it on the market. Professional and thorough from beginning of process through the end. Special kudos to his photographer and marketing team. We are forever grateful for all their hard work! read more

Don Beard at Sohail Real Estate Group helped my family and I just purchase our new home. We had a wonderful experience. Don spent months helping us go through possible homes, our needs list was huge. Sohail represented the seller in our transaction. From day one, he was difficult to get in touch with, did not show up when he was supposed to, did not complete functions that needed to be done for inspection, and complicated things to a level beyond necessary. In fact, 6 days post closing we were still trying to resolve issues that he was aware of for six weeks. While I can't say what he is like to his clients, dealing with him as the buyer was a nightmare. If it wasn't our dream home, we would have walked away because of him. Beware working with him. read more

Several years ago, Sohail and team helped us sell our condo very quickly. During that time were stressed because we could not get a buyer. Sohail was able to stage and sell our condo super fast. It took a huge burden off of us. We were new to the whole process and he and his team were able negotiate with buyer and educate us on the process with ease. Just recently, my family and I tried a few times to purchase a house with a few failed attempts. A few months ago, we re-connected with Sohail Real Estate team and they supported us in the home buying process. We closed in one month after finding our home! We worked with Sohail and Don and they are both very professional, knowledgeable. The whole team educated us in the process of buying our first home. We are very grateful. We appreciate Thank you! read more

Sohail called my after my first attempt to sell my condo failed. His eagerness to get my business was impressive, and I hoped that he would have the same vigor in selling my condo. He did. He aggressively marketed my small condo with wonderful photos and a video. He even brought in a professional stager to make decor suggestions, at no further cost to me. My home really shined after we were done staging it. When it came to showings, a member of his team was ALWAYS there. This was so impressive, because my previous realtor showed up to maybe 1 showing. I really feel like someone representing the property should be there to answer questions. In a few months, I had not 1, but 2 offers. My husband and I went on to use Sohail and his team for purchasing a home, and then selling it a few years later. After reading some of the other reviews I feel compelled to embellish more! The fact that we have repeatedly used Sohail Real Estate Group's services speaks more to his and his team's work ethic than any review could. Also, he or a member of his team was always responsive to my many questions. One of his team members called, just out of the blue, to make sure our home sell was going smoothly. I also loved that he sent detailed follow-ups to EACH showing and open house. Really top notch! read more
