After multiple follow ups and lies from both of them, My issue is never addressed....EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL SERVICE!!!

For reasons that will not be mentioned here, I needed to have my 2015 income tax return corrected…read moreand re-submitted and my 2016 return completed by a tax professional. I decided to use Toronto Tax Consulting because it was close to my home. I met with the TTC consultant at their head office - in a business service centre in downtown Toronto. He said that he would give me a 'deal' and only charge me for a review of the 2015 return rather than full price for completing both - total price of nearly $1,000. As I had no idea how complex the process would be, even though my return is usually simple and straight-forward, I agreed. When the returns were completed several weeks later, I met with him again at the same office. He indicated that the 2015 return has been correctly completed, so no changes or re-submission were required. He also completed the 2016 return exactly as I would have done it. Total time required for both could not have been more than an hour. Yet, he still charged me the full quoted price: nearly $1,000. Since I had agreed to this, I felt I had little recourse. He offered to mail the 2016 return for me, which I agreed to - and I signed it. I paid by credit card. He said I would receive a detailed receipt by mail - which I would need to use in my 2017 tax return and to prove if ever audited that the return had been prepared professionally. Several weeks later I still had not received the promised receipt. Over the next few weeks I called several times and left messages, emailed several times and submitted an enquiry on the TTC website. Not a single response. So much for the guarantee on their website of customer satisfaction. I tried to complain about this poor service to the Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario, only to find out that the consultant is not a member (he never said he was), and, thus, is not subject to their rules and standards. This also made me wonder about his actual qualifications. Now, I have no idea if he did in fact mail in my 2016 return - or if he signed it if he did. I have no idea if his judgment is correct that my 2015 return had been correctly prepared originally or if he properly prepared my 2016 return. He also provided some advice about ways to complete my returns in the future to save some money. How can I trust this? It is interesting that the TTC consultant is the only person associated with TTC on LinkedIn. How can one person be an expert in all of the various areas of expertise listed on their website? With all of the offices they have listed across the city, why is their 'head office' in a business services centre? we used a different office there each time I met him. It would seem this 'head office' is just used for a mail drop and for meeting with clients. I now have no choice but to go to another accountant to get his work checked and pay again for the same services already paid far too much for.

The account Helen is a fraud!!…read more I, as a returning client, asked her to file my tax return this year. My tax is very simple, only income tax with a little of rent income. She charged the person before me for $50 but charged me double for $100. I told her that's more than what I paid her last year and I do not want her to file my tax anymore. I requested to get my T4 back and she declined!! That's so suspicious as what she's gonna do using my T4!! Helen is a fraud!! Never go there for any tax related issues

On follow-up later on email, she completely denies promising the services and says that she does not have time to attend to my services although she has taken money from me as fees for the promised services. She further accepts a miscommunication from her side, still does not refund my money paid to her. She has carried out fraud and cheated me by taking my money without providing any services and I would not recommend this woman. She is very sweet in the beginning while taking my money and becomes highly aggressive when I ask for my money back or for the services to be rendered. I do not recommend this person as a service provider to anyone on account of my experience and the extreme fraud done to me and the harassment I received at her hands. Buyer Beware.
