After reading the old reviews on here, I just had to come through for my new middle eastern…read morebroskis. About a month ago, my sister and I spent a couple of days in Kaprun to go hiking. After inhaling some of that fresh mountain air, we decided to go out to get some hookah...because...balance! It was a quiet Wednesday and there wasn't a lot going on. One of the guys that was working there immediately took our order. We went for the grape mint combo and some tea. Our order came out within minutes and they regularly came back to rotate the coal. After addressing us in a formal way at first, our small talk with the owner became more chill and informal and he started telling us about his journey with the restaurant business and all the struggles that come with it (such as not being able to play "loud" music - which was really the only thing that was missing for us).
Anyway, to get to the point...the hookah was hitting pretty nicely, the owners are super nice, and they had free WiFi as well. Now do I believe these guys serve the best pizza and pasta in Kaprun as they claim online? Most likely not. Then again, a) I didn't try it and b) I wouldn't expect that from a place with a menu that includes an interesting combo of kebab dishes, pizza, pasta, burgers, and even goulash.
So my advice would be: go there for the hookah and/or a middle eastern dish because clearly that's what they do best and that's what makes them stand out in this (slightly snobbish) town. Much love and respect to the owners! We'll be back one day :)
