Neutral commentary. There were three open tables outside on the patio, so I chose one. Hence, make reservations but I don't think I will return to try it out. I had stopped by after swimming and was in T-shirt and shorts. With the tone of his voice, I did not feel welcome rather than lack of open tables.

They serve very good Turkish food and the wine list is extensive and well-selected. The octopus was…read moresurprisingly tender and not tough - that takes skill on the part of the chef! They do lamb and fish particularly well. The waiter was very helpful at helping us choose a variety of foods to share so our family could try a little of everything. We even got a shot of ouzo at the end of the meal on the house! Note that we had a big bill (over €200 for a party of four). The only really weird parts were: 1. Getting access to an English menu for my non-German speaking guests - they only had four such menus in the whole place. Like - really? Why not print the English menus on laminated paper (sans a fancy cover) and just have more available if you're going to offer them at all? So we would have an English menu but we had to give it back quickly so another table could use it. And keep in mind it was Christmas Eve and there were A LOT of Brits and Americans there that night. Luckily handy (mobile) translation apps compensate for this issue. 2. Getting the food we didn't finish in take-away boxes was odd. The waiter wouldn't give us the basket of bread we had on our table that we hadn't finished. He refused. He only gave us a small container of bread that he had put together himself, and he took the basket of bread that was on our plate and brought it back to the kitchen, which makes me wonder: did that basket of bread that was on our table that my children touched go to another new table?! If so, that's gross! I mean I've heard of this practice in some shady restaurants but to me it doesn't befit place that's this high-end. And the waiter insisted that he be the one to pack up the leftovers - and he mixed up our guests items with each other rather than separate each dish like we asked. I mean, if you're too cheap for extra take-away containers, I'll gladly pay for extras if it means convenience. Other than that an excellent experience.

Keko - No tables available today. I see a few open ones but they say they were reserved.

But Dilan's real strength (besides the irresistible wall color) is brunch. The Sunday brunch buffet is full of things I like to eat: all kinds of cheeses, eggs, olives, fresh fruit, yogurt, filo dough cigars stuffed with spinach and cheese - basically like a regular brunch but more interesting. The highlights: Armenian string cheese (haven't had this since I lived in NY!) and halva (the perfect little bit of sweet to end the meal - beats typical brunch pastries hands down). If you want to check out their brunch, go early or make a reservation, since it tends to fill up. And now I promise to stop using the word 'brunch' in every sentence. Really. I'm stopping. Now.

The night that I went, we ended up ordering nearly every starter available. I have thought long and hard and I simply cannot pick a favourite. Every single dish was delicious. You'll just have to order whatever you feel in the mood for that night, and feel safe knowing that it doesn't get better. For those who like to live dangerous, they have a well curated bar stock. It's not the widest selection, but it is good quality, e.g., Laphroiag 10.
