I was really not impressed. I read some comments on Facebook that said that it was New York style and that the slices were huge. No offense to that person, but maybe they've never had New York style pizza before. These are not big slices either. If you are not a fan of pepperoni, this is not the place for you. They had six pizzas out for display, which they said had been sitting out for about an hour. They did not look very appetizing to me, but I guess I've been spoiled by Home Slice Pizza in Austin, Texas. They had pepperoni and what looked like meatball, pepperoni and bell pepper slices, pepperoni by itself, and also pineapple with what looked like bacon. The only vegetarian option they had was plain cheese. I ordered a plain cheese slice to go. There is not much flavor, and I'm sure I could make better pizza at home. I was honestly hoping that this would be a new place in town that I would stop by every week because I don't know of any place in New Braunfels that sells pizza by the slice, but I don't think that's gonna happen. There would need to be some serious variation, and not just a variation on pepperoni with something else. Price seems a little high for what you get. A sign on the door says they have no public restrooms. They do have restrooms, just not for people who are not spending money and don't have access to a restroom otherwise. ‍

Friendly service, clean tables, pizza excellent--Nice & crispy, right amount of sauce, cheese & dough. I came in expecting a quick slice and a quick slice is what I got. Man content.

    Slices are $5 each.

I've only been once and plan to return as the 2 slices I got where very good. I thought it was odd that the theme is " by the slice but there were no prices anywhere including the menu listing by the slice prices. The cashier said they were $5 each. The other thing I didn't care for was the sign on the door that says no public restrooms. Not to be that guy but NB has a city ordinance that says all businesses that are open to the public are required to have public access to the restroom, simply because the city has no public restrooms. But it gives an unfriendly feeling. NB isn't like Austin swarming with homeless so no need for that mentality. I look forward to getting more great food here. The look inside the same as it was for the last restaurant that was there so it looks like a BBQ place.

Went on a Saturday around 1. There were maybe 6-8 people dining. We were greeted right away. They have lunch specials M-Sa. Two slices of cheese or pepperoni and a drink for $10.99 or two speciality slices and a drink for a few bucks more. We did both. Tried cheese, pepperoni, supreme and Alfredo. Also ordered a salad. Jake (a manager) was very kind and helpful. They do have a full menu too. The slices are served "mall style." Pick your slice from pies precooked and sliced and they put it in the oven to heat up. Mine could have been cooked longer for a better crunch. Didn't care for the Alfredo. The rest of the pizza was fine. Nothing that made it stand out. Restrooms were clean.

This is an absolute 10/10. Great customer service. Food was amazing!!!! We got pizza, a calzone and some wings. Was just soooo good. The restaurant was clean and aesthetically pleasing. A must try if you've never been.

This is after I dried patted the grease off

Dude making the pizza was nice and welcoming, staff not so much. $25 bucks for reheated pizza (which is the lunch special) for two people seems kinda steep. If it was fresh then it's understandable. Veryyyy greasy also.

I completely understand that they just opened up. But frankly, the pizza was really bad and burnt. We ordered DOUBLE pepperoni, olives, and mushrooms, and on each slice, there were probably three olives and two mushrooms; not all the slices had pepperoni. When I went back up to the counter to inform them that the cooking needed to be adjusted due to being charred, the cashier said she couldn't help me because "she's just a cashier" and that I needed to go find someone else. Her manager was 20 feet away from her. Also, they ran out of Parmesan cheese, and there was a couple random paper plates on the counter. It's poor planning on ordering and managing the business. The customer service was poor and when the pizza was delivered to the table, the sides were not brought over. The manager gave us a voucher for a free pizza but we will not be back. It would have been better to refund our money.

I have a gluten intolerance and they have the best gluten-free pizza there . It is $3 more to this option. But the pizza is so crispy and has no cardboard taste! It is considered gluten-free friendly, I wouldn't recommend for a celiac. I believe they use the same cook area.

Even a nice touch of stickers on the receipt . But I came here for the pizza and leaving with one word to describe it : BLAND. The dough/ crust was the best part but the rest was a basic as the lunch I had in high school. Zero flavor in sauce , meat , and cheese . The veggies were fresh I will admit. They are skimpy on their toppings as well. Hate to give them such a low score because they were great but for $20 - dominos or papa johns give a lot more for the money and have taste. I hope this review doesn't make this nice place upset but aware of how much better it can be.

Just about a block off the main drag, this little pizza joint has a lot of flavor with a little charm. Keep in mind these are all 10" pies so if you're hungry, one pie per person, but the wife and I decided to share the 10" Garden Goddess special pie as our lunch. The pie was covered in Black olives and boast mushrooms, white onions, bell pepper & pickled red onion toppings with a sweet and spicy honey drizzled around. The spicy honey complimented the pickled onions making this a very flavorful pie. We enjoyed the owner's company as we were the only guest this early Saturday afternoon. Bill the owner, was very friendly and talked to us about the history of the company which actually began in the town I was born in, Brockton MA. Small world!! If you're looking for a great pizza that's not your typical fast food pizza, NB's Wicked Bah Pizza is a must to try. We will definitely be back to try a couple more of Bill's selection of pizzas. OH, and don't forget to grab some desert!!! I had the tiramisu, I'm very picky about Tiramisu and this was a great desert that i will definitely get again.

The place had decent parking and was easy to find. Once we arrived inside we were quickly greeted with amazing customer service. The place was small and had a family friendly feel to it, and the employees had great energy. Our server helped us out with the menu and recommended the Egg-roll of the week. Which was like an Italian Sub Egg Roll. It was amazing! We also ended up ordering a pizza. Which the server also recommended his favorite the 10" Wicked Roni. Which had Pepperoni, onion, fresh jalapeno & a spicy honey drizzle. Once the pizza arrived we were a little saddened by the size of the pizza, since it was so small. But it does say 10", so be prepared for the size. The only issue that I had for this place and the reason why it lost a star, was because of the bland flavor of the pizza. Maybe it was just off that day, but there was hardly any flavor in the pepperoni or the jalapeños. They weren't even spicy at all! It was as I lost my taste while eating the pizza. Which was a little disappointing because the egg-roll was amazing! But we will definitely want to give this place another shot, because of how great the customer service was and how great the egg-roll was. We will try another pizza next time!

We also ordered 2 fountain drinks. With a military/first responder discount it ended up being around $47. Once the food came out it was amazing! The pizza rolls were delicious and the Billy Goat was one of the best pizza's I've had in New Braunfels. The only issue I had and why the review lost a star, was that we waited so long. Almost 30 min sitting there before our rolls came out and another 10-15 min after for the pizza. I did see orders coming out repeatedly for pickup and delivery, but the dining area was pretty empty and not one person checked up on us or gave us a time frame until after the food came.

But first, depending on what is going on in downtown, parking can be tricky to find. Upon entering the establishment you find a pretty good amount of seating. A kinda of bar feeling but still welcoming for families. You have the option to sit in the main room or the side room with a pool table to enjoy. As you choose your meal you go to the counter and let them know what you'll have to eat. The personnel at the counter are extremely helpful and considerate, answer any questions you might have about the food you are thinking about. They give you a number that you place on your table, and as they bring you your meal again that cordial attitude is on display. After being treated kindly, the next thing is the food. And to be honest the food was brought out and going on the first appearance was very pleasing. Now the taste, I first ordered the "Housemade Dough Bites" at first thought I didn't think it was going to be worth it. But I was completely wrong, these bites were delicious, crunchy and very flavorful and the dipping sauce brought out the taste of the bites. The next item was some chicken wings in a medium sauce with ranch dressing and some celery sticks, they too tasted great, good amount of meat and flavor. The last thing was the star of the meal, the pizza. I got the "Butcher's Block" specialty pizza, and it didn't disappoint, the different meats and the sauce was excellent. This is by far one of my favorites. So if you're looking for a good pizza place, you can't go wrong with "Calahan's".
