The cost of a haircut is quite high, and I have only had one person even come close to giving me the cut I am asking for, even though I bring pictures! I am not talking about just a frontal shot of the cut; I am talking about a 360-degree view. The last style I went to was a bald man in a hat. He is extremely insecure about it and did such a horrible job on my hair, I have to wonder if he is taking his revenge on those of us who do have hair. I could have gone to Great Clips for what he gave me, at a premium. Dude cuts hair like he just got out of cosmetology school (they don't teach you how to cut hair. Just how not to be sanitary.) If I am going to be charged almost $200 with tip, I should have a highly skilled person sitting in the chair. I asked for a layered cut that would rest on my shoulders, and I walked out with a bob that made me look like I had a bowl cut! It has taken me MONTHS to grow my hair out to even remotely the length I was looking for. Reasons I won't be back: * I never walk out with what I asked for, even with quality 360 pictures of the cut. *High turnover, so if I do find a cosmetologist I like, they are never there for a follow-up. *The juice is not worth the squeeze. I am paying WAY too much for a haircut I didn't ask for 4 1/4 out of 5 times. * The last individual was very unprofessional, snarky, and rude. A shallow person with poor confidence who throws verbal assaults as a defense mechanism. Go work it out with a therapist, and don't dump your issues that need tissues in the client chair. Just toxic. I was shocked to hear a gay man bash lesbians who want to do a little good in the world. Just abhorrent. If that wasn't bad enough, he either can't follow directions or needs more training. He actually said he just cuts it by eye and not by cross-checking the lines! I paid a premium for a precision cut from someone who just wings it? Ya! NO! I'm done! I am still pissed all these months later. This was the last straw.
