Once I did so, I made my appointment for a tooth extraction. Dr. Pena was"happy to take my money but instead of any anesthesia, he secured my head to the chair to immobilize it, inserted a tool into my mouth so I couldn't talk and then proceeded to hammer at my jaw. At no point was any anesthesia given. He stated he would "tap, tap, tap" my tooth and then said "this is a tough one". This went on over and over for about 25 minutes. He continued to break away pieces of my tooth as his assistant removed the many chunks. I was unable to speak for my self and of course was wide awake as the anesthesia I prepaid for never came. Due to underlying medical conditions, I even met with my primary physician to assure the anesthesia was a safe decision for me to make. Once the procedure was over, Dr. Pena high tailed it out of the room and on to is next victim. His assistants had looks of astonishment on their faces from what they had just watched and the front office administrator worked quickly to assure my money was reimbursed. I can't say how horrifying my experience was with Dr. Pena and Centrasota. I strongly urge anyone who has plans to use this facility to go elsewhere. I was both lied to and my money taken without service performed. I was cheated and disrespected.

They made me comfortable in the chair, I drifted off to sleep, and when I woke up it was all done. Sensitive, caring, considerate, informative, understanding, gentle, efficient, friendly.... I can't just can't think of enough good things to say about them. All the bleeding stopped sooner than I would've expected and there was very little pain the same day and absolutely none the second day. Also, they called me the next day to check up and see how I was doing, if I had any questions or concerns. I would definitely recommend CentraSota for their high-quality care.

Rude and unprofessional staff, overcharging, poor service, ill fitting temporary dentures that they won't fix, and on and on. He had to go back again to refit the temporary ones and before he could sit down he was immediately told the insurance didn't pay everything and he owed more. We already paid over $8600.00 and yes the insurance did pay $2500.00. He voiced his frustration but was going to pay when someone came from the back and told him to "settle down or I'll have to ask you to leave". She said this AFTER she had already picked up the credit card. There was no need for her to speak out at all, all she did was add to the frustration. My husband told her to give the credit back and then left. I called a couple of days later to pay the amount and reschedule the appointment. I was asked the name and put on hold. The woman came back on and said they were waiting on a response from upper management as to whether or not they would "allow him back". They said he was "violent". I told her I understand why they have so many negative reviews and if they would not finish the treatment we want every penny returned or would have to resort to legal measure. She was rude, patronizing and extremely unprofessional. An expensive lesson that we can't afford. We will probably spend several thousand more to go to a dental agency where the office staff doesn't jump you when you walk in the door.

When the dental assistant, hygienist, I'm not sure which one prepared me for the procedure, I asked her a few questions, she provided the answers. . . by the time the surgeon came in, I was comfortable in the chair and feeling confident I could get through it just fine. Ci and I have been going here for about six years now, both of us for routine visits, cleanings,and Ci for all her orthodontist work as well. I feel so comfortable here and the staff is amazing. Katie, Dr. Gessell, the hygienists (well, most of them...)..You know there always has to be ONE hygienist that pokes a little too deep) are all so gentle, and kind. They take such good care of our teeth and make our semiannual visits happy ones. Katie, who helps Dr. G with the Ortho is the best of all!! She made the whole experience so pleasant for Ciarra as she does for all the other little tinsel mouthed kids I see coming in. Why four stars? I think the reception area could be a little more friendly. They aren't snarky or anything but never have felt that warm fuzzy feeling when checking in but once you make it past the front desk, its all good so do your Thang at the front desk, sit patiently, and wait for the best, relaxing dental experience you have ever had.
