Have a phenomenal lunch here! The Galbi lunch special was perfect along with the dumplings. Plus the Korean wine made it a refreshing menu on a warm day. Plan was simple and cleaning place to have a meal. We plan on coming here for the foreseeable future.

Returned for the 2nd time at Sodam and this time, I brought my husband. This was our anniversary lunch date and we ordered - Tteokbokki, Soondubu, Bulgogi beef and Shrimp Tempura. Everything we had was delicious! We learned about these dishes from our love of kdrama and we are now hooked!! Service was warm and friendly as always. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

This place was incredible! The atmosphere was really chill, and the staff were super friendly, checking in on us throughout the meal. The spicy bulgogi was delicious and a great value for the price. All the side dishes were tasty, but the fish cakes were definitely my favorite. Also, the kimchi dumplings were huge and packed with flavor. Overall, a fantastic spot!

Amazing food & experience! Clean and simple interior, great for groups or families. Service was great, and the food was spectacular. The serving sizes were great, would be easy to share dishes too! Love that we have such an excellent & authentic Korean spot in town! We will be back!

I'm Korean and I approve! So grateful that this place exists in this area. Good assortment of banchans (side dishes). They even give you a little bit of jeon (Korean pancake; the kimchi and regular kind!). Got the yukgaejang (spicy shredded beef and vegetable stew), and left with a happy belly. The lady there is always consistently lovely, pleasant, and kind. Place is super clean as well. Top quality service every single time. Their Teokguk (Korean traditional new year's rice cake dumpling soup) also always hits. Highly recommend!

My tummy and I are SoOoOo Happy!!!! Finally, delicious Korean food in the SCV....Finally... No longer do we have to drive for K-town. Food- came here on a Friday afternoon for lunch. We were greeted warmly and seated. The cold noodles I ordered was so good. The noodles were perfectly chewy. The flavor of the cold broth was perfection. The banchan were super yummy as well... Ambiance- the restaurant is very clean and decor is simple. They have a pink frog next to the cash register that's super cute... Parking- located in a plaza where there is ample parking is a plus. No longer do I have to valet my car like in K-town. Super friendly and warm staff. Food was **chief's kiss** I will definitely be back.... Cheers!!!

Lots of hype around the community around the opening of this restaurant so we were excited to try it out this past weekend. I tried the sullungtang with brisket, which came with the usual sides of green onion and their chili paste. Don't forget to salt to taste. For a place in Santa Clarita, this definitely hit the spot without the drive to the valley or ktown. It also came with a decent amount of brisket. The soft tofu soup was also pretty good but it was pretty mild for my taste. Loved all their side dishes, especially the radish. Quick and friendly service. Lots of seating so could accomodate larger parties. I could see this place getting busy during cooler evenings. Would love to comeback to try their other soups. Unfortunately most of the pancakes were unavailable the day we came.

Korean approved taste!! This place is super authentic. I went to lunch with my husband, expecting not this quality of a authentic soup in Santa Clarita versus korean restaurants in LA. We ordered a lunch special, which also has some good samgetang (korea style chicken soup with sticky rice inside chicken) and Kalbitang (beef bone soup with noodles) on the menu. The side dishes were not screaming MSG, and they tasted very healthy and it was so good. When the soup came out, it was above expectations. It felt like I was back in Korea. Those broths were all very flavorful, and it was deep, it didn't feel like it was drenched in, again, MSG, which a lot of restaurants feel like that. I think it's very hard to find good quality soup with affordable price like this, and I definitely recommend this place for anyone who enjoys a good broth for lunch or dinner or breakfast. The inside is very clean, servers were very attentive and kind. Will definitely be back when we visit Santa Clarita again!

Great Korean food! Loved that they have naengmyeon and a variety of soups. Both the galbi and bulgogi were delicious. I like that the bulgogi wasn't drenched in sauce and made of good quality meat. The restaurant is clean and service was great! 5 stars all around!

This is a little gem. The food was very good! Don't need to go to Ktown. I had the beef bone soup, seafood tofu and sliced beef bbq. The sides were delicious. Just a solid place for Korean food. Restaurant is clean with plenty of parking.

Finally an authentic Korean restaurant is SCV. Food is fresh and delicious. The owner is such a sweet soul and friendly. Amazing staffs. You get good amount of food and the free sides come with the food. I have been here more than 4 times since it opened and can definitely say there is consistency in the taste and flavor. Clean, and spacious for group. Even when you order the food to go, it's packed well and hot when it arrives home.

Televisions.....one showing Dodger baseball, the other showing K-Entertainment (k-drama, k-pop music videos)
    Ryan E.

A nice new Korean soul food establishment in Canyon Country. A very welcoming atmosphere.....they have two televisions going, one showing Dodgers baseball, the other showing K-Entertainment (pop, dramas) that you can enjoy while you eat. I had the hot pot bibimbap, which was really delicious, as were the side dishes. The service was excellent, too....with very attentive wait staff. Thank you, I'll come again!! 감사합니다!! 또 올게요!!

My husband and I tried Sodam for the first time, and we were pleasantly surprised. We arrived around 6:30, and it wasn't busy at all. The space is large with plenty of tables, so it never felt crowded. We were warmly greeted by a lady at the entrance who showed us to our table right away. The menu had so many tempting options, it was hard to choose. We decided on two kinds of soup--gukbop for my husband and soondubu for me. The portions were very generous, easily enough to feed one to two people each, but since we were both really hungry, we each had our own. Both soups came with white rice and were packed with flavor. Along with the soups, we were served a variety of side dishes, and every single one of them was delicious. We loved the combination of flavors and felt the meal was both comforting and satisfying. Overall, we really enjoyed our experience at Sodam. The food was delicious, the portions were huge, and the service was welcoming. We'll definitely be back again!

FOOD: AYCE @ $36.99 + tax (for their lowest-tiered option). *NOTE*: 16% gratuity is automatically included* (I'm not bothered by this as long as the service is worth it = the server checks-in at our table to make sure that we have everything. Needless to say, the hospitality here is on point.) Bulgogi - 8.7 / 10 As I always say, bulgogi is the standard by which I measure any kbbq restaurant. Just because there are so many variables, mainly the marinade. How sweet is it? How fatty is the cut? Would I order it again? That said, theirs is par for the course. Easy chew, not overly sweet. I would gladly order it again. The cool thing is that they offer variations of this exact cut of kbbq (something that other kbbq joints can learn from). Boneless Short Rib - 9.0 / 10 Easily my favorite cut. Very "meaty" which is how I like it. It's hearty & flavorful, yet I feel like I'm not eating a gargantuan steak from a steakhouse. The portion is not too much where I fear that I won't be able to try other offerings. Hawaiian Bulgogi - 8.8 / 10 Basically the same as the aforementioned "regular" bulgogi but with bits of pineapple mixed in. The fruit adds a nice, citrusy bite while not overpowering the beef with sweetness. The pineapple only adds to the already solid cut. If I could only choose to order 1 variation of bulgogi, it would easily be this version. Beef Belly - 8.9 / 10 Granted this is never usually my "go-to" cut, I'm quite impressed with how fatty these paper thin cuts are. Think of it as "beef bacon". For me, I like mine well-done. That crispy texture of well-rendered meat is a very nice contrast to all the other meaty cuts that are offered. It's super thin, so don't expect to get full from this. For me, it's more about the textural contrast that this cut brings to the table. The melted fat also acts as a lubricant of sorts & adds another layer of flavor to everything else that you put on the grill after it. Thin Cut Flat Iron - 8.7 / 10 This is kind of like the "poor man's beef tongue". I mean that in the best possible way, since I'm not the biggest beef tongue fan. Unlike tongue, the thin cut flat iron steak is less gamey & feels like you're eating a traditional cut of meat. Veggie Tempura - 8.6 / 10 A great way to get your veggies in. The tempura batter is not overly greasy. All pieces of veggies are very satisfying & complement the grilled meats very well. Includes onions, green beans, potato, sweet potato. The tempura sauce is very umami & makes for an even greater dipping sauce for all of your meats. Corn Cheese - 8.5 / 10 Corn + mozzarella. I could be mistaken, but I feel like there may be some kind of mayonnaise in here too. Just because it felt a little wet compared to other corn cheeses that I'd had elsewhere. Provides a tangy contrast to the meal. Sujeonggwa (Korean cinnamon ginger punch) - 9.0 / 10 A refreshing beverage that is served to you at the then end of your meal. It makes for a great palette cleanser & I do feel like it calms the stomach as all the digestion is happening. It's a very nice touch to conclude all of your eating. The banchan is plenty - your standard kimchi & pickled vegetables. I always appreciate when japchae is an included option. I'll make it simple for you: If you go with their lowest tiered option (not weekday Happy Hour), the out-the-door price (tax, 16% tip, water only) is $46.52 per person. This works for me & I would gladly come back. What's also nice is that they can accommodate larger parties without breaking a group off into 2 separated tables. They have at least 3 longer tables. Huge shoutout to Jess for being such an accommodating server. As a customer, her demeanor is exactly what you want. She made sure that our table always had what we needed & was more than happy to inquire if we ever wanted to order anything else. If management is reading this, please recognize Jess & consider giving her a raise. She's a true asset to your team & she made it a true joy to visit your establishment.

The soy ginger is salty goodness, perfect for someone who wants to venture a step beyond the Classic Crunch. My personal choice for next time would be the fries over the Korean style street corn. If you've had esquites from your local street vendor, you'll feel the same. The portions here are hella generous for the price; lunch special is $11.99 for a variety of chicken combos and a side. I appreciate the choice of bottled or soda machine for my soda; I'm a bottle person. They have Pepsi for your carbonated needs. The crunch on this chicken is something special. Particularly on the legs. It gives the full ASMR experience! The female cashier was super welcoming and helpful. We were hesitant on what flavor to choose, and she offered a two flavor split.
