Unfortunately, my experience did not meet my expectations. I initially left a 1-star review because I was disappointed with the service and the lack of results. After I posted the review, I was contacted and asked to remove it. I was told that they would work with me, take a better approach, and help me with my job search, and I was given assurances that I would receive better support and results. Based on those assurances, I decided to give the service another chance and removed my review. Unfortunately, after giving them approximately another two months, I did not notice any meaningful improvement or change in my job-search results. I have several years of IT and cybersecurity experience and relevant industry certifications, and I have been actively applying for cybersecurity positions. Despite this, I did not see the level of recruiter interest, interviews, or opportunities that I expected after investing $1,800 in professional career coaching. I understand that no career coaching company can guarantee someone a job, and I never expected an absolute guarantee of employment. However, when someone pays $1,800 for a professional coaching service, they should reasonably expect personalized guidance, a clear strategy, consistent support, and measurable progress. What was especially disappointing to me was that I removed my original 1-star review because I trusted the assurances that things would improve. After giving the service additional time, I still did not see meaningful changes. I am sharing this review based on my personal experience so that others can make an informed decision before spending a significant amount of money on career coaching. Unfortunately, for me, the $1,800 investment did not provide the value or results I was expecting.

But then we moved in together and the first year of him watching me blithely scribbling random numbers on my 1040EZ form caused him to weep copiously. By the second year, he physically wrangled my tax forms from me...and brought it to CHC CPAs. Don't tell him this, but this is one of the *very few* times he was right. Things I've learned by having a real professional work on your taxes: 1) You get more money back...even when they don't let claim your pet bunny as a dependent (hey, do you know how much bunnies cost?!? I think I should get the same tax deduction as a kid! Especially as my bunny won't be a drain on our social resources. I'm just sayin'!). 2) You save yourself a couple hours arguing with your husband if I can "fake" not living in MoCo and not pay the higher tax rate...I mean, we live in Gaithersburg...that's *practically* Frederick County (with the lower tax rate), right??? 3) You don't make your significant other cry when you proudly proclaim that the Fed is going to give you a $1,335,830 refund...because you screwed up the decimal point thingie. By *A LOT*. Oops. Heh. Yeah, I know. I am the most highly functioning ditz on the planet. But here's the OTHER awesomething thing about CHC. Unlike other tax prep places (like, H&R Block, not that there's anything wrong with them), CHC *ALSO* does financial planning.SOOOO...when you get back that super awesome refund...you can INVEST IT...which CHC does as well. So in a nutshell: unless you're Warren Buffet or Mitt Romney...call up CHC. Just like you would call a plumber to fix your drain...call a professional to do your taxes! YAY!
