" A Historical House in it's Original Condition "…read more My wife and I visited the Hertitage House in Lewiston, Idaho last week and enjoyed our tour.The Heritage House was built in 1896-1900. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places as Nutting House, as the Nutting family lived in the house in the 1920's and operated the nearby Laundry. The name was changed to Heritage House in 1987 to indicate its significance, as the last remaining representation of historic domestic building in downtown Lewiston. The Heritage House is owned and managed by the Nez Perce County Historical Society which is right next door for the Heritage House.

It serves…read morechildren with a beautiful children's area, teens with books, games, and technology appropriate for their ages as well as books and periodicals for adults. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I especially like the outside speakers such as the Idaho Humanities leader as she took us through a session on Free Speech recently. Kay G.

I think this is one of the coolest libraries I've ever been in. It's in an old hardware building…read more Very artsy. It may not have a lot of books, but it's part of a huge group of libraries so you can search and place a book on hold you want to read. They also have little rooms and sections of the library for people to use for meetings and such. They have some classes you can sign up for as well. I love this place.
