I've been told several different things by several different people and none have helped me. I've been unemployed since April with zero help. If I'm not receiving money, how am I suppose to sustain myself? Things happen!! I can't get money rightfully owed to me is crazy. The disposition and knowledge from the ppl here is terrible. You can't be more than 5 minutes late which isn't listed anywhere. I got lost and missed my appointment yesterday. I came 15 minutes earlier today and still was seen AFTER my appointment time. I left my id in the car, seeing as though I had my passport that wasn't enough. I was told to "hurry up" and get back. Now what if i fell trying to hurry up? I mean really

They are helping attract and support small business that are thriving thanks to all of the promotion that the Chamber does. They have helped bolster the Farmer's market and many other downtown offerings. They are fully involved in the Watch Muskegon campaign and everything that campaign is doing. I can't say enough about the people who work there and the direction that they are moving Muskegon. It's amazing and it gives us hope and builds our sense of pride. Muskegon is such a great place to live, work, and play and we are so glad that we have such a good Chamber of Commerce that helps promote it. Thank you to the Chamber!!!!
"Great Stay, But the Room Service Could Use Some Work"…read more So I recently had the pleasure of spending a few nights at the Muskegon County Correctional Resort & Spa, and let me tell you -- it was unforgettable. The check-in process was incredibly thorough. They even provided complimentary jewelry (stainless steel bracelets!) and personally escorted me to my room. Five-star hospitality right there! The accommodations were minimalist -- perfect for anyone looking to embrace the "tiny home" lifestyle. The walls were industrial chic, and the bed had just the right balance of firmness and existential dread. Meals were included, though I suspect the chef may be a minimalist too. The "mystery casserole" paired nicely with the tepid tap water, though breakfast could've used a garnish or two (or, you know... flavor). The staff were attentive -- constantly checking in to make sure I wasn't having too much fun. The wake-up calls were punctual, if a bit abrupt. Activities were plentiful: Morning strolls (in a very controlled environment) Group therapy (with some truly colorful locals) Lights out yoga (where you just... stare at the ceiling) Overall, I'd give it 3 stars. Great security, decent social scene, but the amenities were lacking and the dress code was a bit too strict for my taste. Would I stay again? Let's just say... I'll be a law-abiding Airbnb guy from now on.

Prior to the shutdown, I visited and looked for several books for my son. I did notice that some of the kids books, at least in the "dinosaur" section were pretty worn and old, so I was already worried about germs. Post pandemic, they are open limited hours and don't allow browsing in most sections, but I have still popped in several times to pick up books. They "quarantine" books upon return to make sure they are safely ready for the next visitor. Reading is a great thing to do during the pandemic, so keep visiting the library!

Every summer I am doubly impressed by their children's summer reading program. They go the extra mile to involve the children in reading and make them readers for life. It's an excellent way to keep them occupied during the summer so that they aren't getting bored. I know that most people already have their own assigned library but I believe that you can still come here, especially for the children's programs. If you are from out of town I highly recommend coming to this library. Best staff, best selection, best programs.

A large truck which I'm sure should not be permitted to dock at the back of the building is so long that it blocks the alley. That is a hazard I know the nose of the truck touches a garage door. However on 10/10 I was awaiting packages for my sons 1st Homecoming dance, he was so excited as was I especially when I seen that all the packages had been delivered however that was not the case. I was missing a pair of unique glasses that set this outfit off. Once arriving home I saw no package of the sort, once checking my USPS website I saw it had been delivered, which it wasn't. Long story short the post office delivered my mail to the wrong house. I went to the post office to attempt to retrieve my items and was told no driver was available to go back and retrieve the item and redeliver. Like how does a company make that type of mistake and not be held accountable for it. My son went to his first dance missing a key piece. Like what a sad why to go to your dance without all your gear. Worse experience ever and tomorrow when it's time to arrive home after work I'm going to wait patiently to enter my driveway while they couldn't have a carrier redeliver my package when they should of called the person who neglected to double check his or her location before leaving an item and confirming its location. Accountability I see is not for this post! I'm not happy, this incident changed the energy in my home and the vibe for the night!

The state park/beach is right next to the campground, which also accepts RVs so parking here can be tricky in summer --- which is when we visited. Plus there is a fee. The lighthouse/pier is very cool, but it is a bit of a hike from the campground. The two lighthouses - the tall one is the Inner, and the short one is the Outer - are right on the channel with water on either side, so it's a very nice walk, next to a steel framework in the middle, to the end of the pier, with good photo ops along the way.
