This place is always busy, the Employees have gated parking. It's clean and cool in there. They have Security as you walk in. Greeter is always busy with Spanish speakers. They have like six people working the windows. I believe they don't let anyone in at 3:45 since they close at 4 pm. The Customer Service Agent was really helpful and informative. I was not able to get what I needed because, I didn't need it after all. I waited forty five minutes to get some help that I didn't need but, at least I got a yelp review out of it. I finally got sign up, after a lot of frustration, trying to reach someone and being told someone would call me back to make an appointment in seven days. I asked after they call me how long till they schedule an appt. when they call back, they said, in about a month. Really! I also sat at the Ft. Worth SS office for an hour and a half. They still had over 50 people in front of me and I couldn't stay any longer. I finally went to the Cleburne office, they were super nice and helpful. I was in and out in less than 30 min. with everything in place. read more

I drove 30 minutes to the social security office to pick up my taxes from previous years, almost after 3 hours they helped me the guy at the window was very nice so he gave me my documentation, when I got home i noticed the top part was my information but the rest was from someone else from 2007 to 2023 from another person, I was worried because I thought they might have given my information to someone I called the office and they never answered so l drove back again and when I arrived I told the security man who was at the door and he told me to take a ticket for mine turn very rudely, with no concern about that big mistake. The actions of the Social Security Administration caused me to lose the house I was renting and being able to pay bills. They have NOT paid me anything since last May. Instead of working out a payment plan, Social Security took everything for nine months. Now they want more to pay for Medicare/Medicaid which do nothing. Social Security office is a scam. I went to the SSA Altamesa Fort Worth, Tx today with a 17 to AA female needing to get a SS card and change her payee benefits to herself. I approached the offiver on duty to make sure I was in the appropriate place. He was very rude and condescending stating "that's what it says on the outside of the building!" The points to the registration kiosk..."there it is!" He only left his desk to admonish a AA lady with a baby who was playing with a toy that made small beeping noise. He proceeded to make the lady turn off the toy bc " it's too noisy!" This guy has a horrible attitude and is unprofessional. He was white guy who honestly acted as though he hated his job. He need to feel very appreciative that he has a great paying government job with benefits. I work for the DOJ and I was embarrassed that he was a government employee This happenedon 8/29/2024 @1100. They literally make up whatever hours they feel like working that day don't even try calling them cause you'll be on hold for 20 minutes then they'll just grab the phone and hang up immediately you can't get ahold of anyone for an appointment I've been trying for a week to just get an appointment so I don't waste money ubering again for them to not even try to help with any questions they are clueless here read more

This was the best experience I have ever had going to a SS office in person. I went in for a name change and I didn't even have to wait! I completed part of my application online before arriving, staff were helpful, and I was in and out in less than 15 minutes. read more

The service you receive at the social security office on Altamesa is ridiculous. They will have you waiting for hours l, once you speak to someone they say you need one thing only to speak to someone else hours later and need something different. They really should close down that site because obviously none of them want to be at work, so why waste everyone time coming there for you to get there and they don't won't can't help. I would drive a hour to another location before I go there again. Everyone was sitting in the office complaining about the staff, left a really bad taste in my mouth. read more
