Public Statement -- Courthouse Security Experience (Snohomish County, Oct 21 2025)…read more On October 21, 2025, around 11:40 a.m., I went through security at the Snohomish County Courthouse and was treated with unnecessary hostility by a courthouse deputy named D. Hart. I complied fully with every requirement but was met with sarcasm and a dismissive remark that "if I didn't like it, I didn't have to come there." For many citizens who must attend court, that attitude is unacceptable. I later tried to give calm, respectful feedback, but the deputy cut me off, activated his camera, and escalated the exchange instead of listening. I have filed a formal written complaint with the Snohomish County Sheriff's Office, but I'm sharing this publicly because people deserve to know how visitors are treated at their own courthouse. Encounters like this can discourage people from exercising their rights or fulfilling their legal obligations. If you experience similar behavior, please speak out and document it. Every report helps show that this is not an isolated incident but part of a broader pattern that needs to be addressed. Professionalism and respect at the courthouse door should never be optional.

The faux, poseur security will take your stuff, TELL you you'll 'get it back when you leave', then never return your items. They will, then, tell you they ALWAYS keep everything that is confiscated. Not _held_ while you turn around, stolen.

Formal Incident Statement Date of Incident: January 24, 2026…read moreLocation: Encore Hotel - East Lobby, Boston, Massachusetts Involved Agency: Everett Police Department On January 24, 2026, my sisters and I were at the Encore Hotel in the East Lobby attempting to return our brother's phone and room key to him. Our brother was a registered guest at the hotel. We approached hotel security and calmly explained that we were trying to assist him by returning his belongings. We asked whether hotel security could call his room to confirm whether he was upstairs so he would know that we had his phone. Initially, Everett Police officers on scene indicated this request would be allowed. While speaking with hotel security, I asked the security supervisor to contact his manager so the matter could be resolved appropriately. The security supervisor refused this request on multiple occasions and stated that he did not have to contact a manager because he "hold the power." The security supervisor then continued to argue with my sister and stepped into her personal space, moving close to her face. This behavior continued even after I told my sister take steps backward in an attempt to create distance and de-escalate the situation. Shortly afterward, the hotel security supervisor became involved and began yelling directly in my sister's face, despite me remaining calm. The supervisor then ordered my sister off the property. After my sister stated that the manager's behavior appeared prejudiced, I was treated as "guilty by association" and was also ordered to leave the property. The supervisor and Everett Police officers began yelling in my sister and I faces, unprovoked, while we were simply attempting to help our brother. The security supervisor escalated the situation further by involving the Everett Police because he did not like my sister disposition, despite the fact that I was calm, cooperative, and not causing any disturbance. This resulted in the police being used to remove us rather than to de-escalate the situation. All Everett Police officers on scene refused to provide their names or badge numbers when requested. Officer Descriptions (Names and Badge Numbers Refused) Officer 1: White male, late 50s, bald, brown eyes, half-oval/almond-shaped eyes, approximately 5'6" tall. Officer 2: Black male, late 50s, dark brown skin tone, short fade haircut, brown eyes, approximately 6'2" tall. Officer 3: Black female, early 30s, caramel-brown skin tone, wearing braided or woven hairstyle, brown eyes, approximately 5'5" tall. Additional Officers: Two additional Everett Police officers were present but did not speak during the incident. The officers chose to side with the corporation rather than assist civilians who were acting lawfully and attempting to de-escalate the situation. We were forcibly removed from the Encore property and made to wait outside in approximately 8-degree weather for about 15 minutes while waiting for a rideshare. This occurred despite the absence of any threat, disorderly conduct, or refusal to comply. The conduct of hotel security management, and the Everett Police officers was hostile, unprofessional, and appeared discriminatory, particularly toward Black women who were acting lawfully and respectfully.

This area is a mixture of antique shops, banks and casual restaurants and bars. There is a cute community theatre with some good offerings. It looks like they are trying to change the face of downtown Everett. It has an artsy and eclectic feel to it. The building and growth seem to show a regentrification - so to make it more artistic and less old and run down. I understand Everett is a great place for live music. It was quiet and subdued on a Monday afternoon. Many of the restaurant and businesses were not open. There were several pizza/Mexican/teriyaki/etc hole in the wall eateries thy seemed to offer quick lunch options better than fast food. I really enjoyed the different sculptures around the city, but wished there were signage reflecting on the artists.

You know, I wish people would stop "whining" about a shelter being "a kill shelter"! Fact is, if…read morepeople would get off their rears and get their cats and dogs ALTERED, there would not be so many having to be destroyed. Fact also is; certain pet stores in Snohomish do NOT HELP this situation either! Point of fact; they encourage their customers who purchase "common kittens" to breed them so that the store will have more to sell?! You want to make an impact on the number this shelter has to euthanize; put a STOP to kittens and puppies being sold in a pet store, or at the least, have the animals come with an alter agreement! Whether the kitten or pup is purebred or not; if people would tour the shelter and see the number of animals destroyed each year (and most of these I'm sorry to tell people are kittens and puppies, so even purebred!), they may opt to spay or neuter that animal instead. Fact is: each and every homeowner here in Snohomish County would have to adopt 2 to 3 animals every YEAR to put a stop to any being destroyed! That's a fact. As for the shelter: you can't do better! The people there try their best to answer all questions and find the right animal for each person. I adopted two from there 4 years ago. Yeah, I could have gone to a pet store and gotten the "perfect kitten" - what I was looking for, but I really couldn't see the amount the store was asking for that one kitten. When I went to the shelter; I got TWO for less than the pet store was asking (the shelter was offering adopt one for $99 and get a second one for $1...what a deal! The pet store was over $100 and I still would have to alter the animal and have it vet checked?!). This shelter tho is not limited to JUST kittens, cats, puppies and dogs. Nope, they have a large number of other animals looking for a home too! Animals such as guinea pigs (for way less than any pet store!), rats, hamsters, rabbits, ferrets, chinchillas and more! Please take the the time to look into adoption verses a pet store, we need to send a message that it is NOT okay to sell kittens and puppies in a pet store! BTW-I can't tell you how many times I had heard people state that some pet stores were BETTER THAN A ZOO?! They could come in a pet every single animal they wanted, and did not have to bother buying it either. If people have become that callous to see a pet store as the next ZOO...then sorry, pet stores need to be licensed by USDA just like a zoo does!

I was really scared for my life (being a high-school teenager) but the security guard, the staff and the people around us did nothing, and I and my friends were frozen in fear, the guy randomly left, so we thought he came to his senses or he realized that we were never in the second floor, so we continued on our own business. Then suddenly 10 or minutes after that, the guy shoved me hard and I knocked down one of my friends that was sitting next to me, so the rest of my friends left calmly, to call security or ask for help, and the guy that shoved me kept talking more gibberish about us in the second floor bothering him, so the person next to me was desperately trying to explain we were never in the second floor today, (keep mind that nobody including the security guards did anything, I don't think they even cared) then the guy randomly called his dog on the second floor in the library (and keep in mind that pets are strictly not allowed in the library and I was so scared the dog was going to maul me) and then the guy was yelling for the security to come (which up on to this point was literally doing nothing) and he told the security guard that we were on the second floor bothering him (the security guard knew we never were on the second floor) the security guard then said to me and the guy that we will be kicked out if we don't stop bothering each other, the guy then left to the second floor(and I was thinking thats it? You're not going to do anything about himself assaulting me?) And I was so shocked that the people around me, the security guard and the staff did nothing about this. (Also keep in mind that one time me and my friend was throwing around a light ball in the library and we were threatened to be kicked out of the library and we had to really apologize to be not kicked out) so if I throw around a ball I get kicked out of the library but if a random guy assaults me he gets of scott free. (I don't feel safe anymore in this library especially when the staff didn't care a vulnerable high-school kid was being assaulted infront of them)

I swear they got their degrees online! They tore out a bunch of sidewalk only to put it back and put a reasonable 4 foot ramp in (on both sides of the street.) They also put down lines for the stop sign in the wrong place. Spent more tax money sandblasting that off, then added some other lines down the road only to blast those off and put turtles in. The improvement was a shitshow for months for all of us. The crew that that county hired was called Lakeside. Biggest Assholes I have experienced. I mean ASSHOLES with NO brains. We (Neighbors) called to get help and were ignored (women) but when my husband finally had it they took note. That's why they put the sidewalk back instead of having a 9 foot asphalt ramp. Later after Lakeside left we went around and looked at the "improvements". Enclosed are pictures of their best work. I ended complaining multiple times and finally got Mary Ann Reddell, P.E., Construction Manager out. She told me that the work done was good. Are you blind woman!!?? Seriously, I ask you, what do YOU think about how they left it? (See images) I asked her to at least fix the neighbors lawns, put them back the way there were before the construction and she agreed but it never happened. All I have to say to you Mary Ann Redell, Karma's a bitch.
