And my personal experience was slightly better than my overall opinion of them. They did a good job processing me, partly thanks to my lawyer, and it was a lot less painless than I thought it would be. It's still not a very professional service and the guards at the border... terrible... however for my actual citizenship process they did a good job and personally I am grateful that it's over.

It looks more like it was just built in Frankfurt or Hong Kong or any one of the shiny new downtowns full of skyscrapers around the world. As glorious as it looks, I don't like what goes on here. I've only been in and out of here once, but I don't like the way I was treated, not on the way in, not while inside, and not by mail before and after that day. In fact I find the whole system to be a little corrupt, but in Buffalo and NY State in general, the problem is quite deep-rooted. I was scheduled for a recertification phone interview with Mr. Diaz at 9:15 this morning. I called…read moreat 9:15, 9:20, 9:30, and 9:45 - no answer and still no call back by the end of the business day. Unfortunately, it has been like this EVERY TIME I've had to do one of these interviews. I've never called Social Services and had a case worker pick up their phone. THEY pick the date and time, too; although you're lucky if they send you the letter to tell you when your appointment is. Usually they just send you the letter saying that you "willfully missed" your appointment that you knew nothing about and tell you that you're going to lose your benefits. I swear these are tricks just to drop people. I always end up sending screenshots of my call logs to them in the mail to prove that I showed up to the interview THEY scheduled. You can never get ahold of anyone's supervisor, either. It's absolutely disrespectful to everyone who needs to rely on them for help. Just because I'm disabled doesn't mean my time and energy aren't valuable.
