MAKE AN APPOINTMENT!! If you need to visit the SS office, make an appointment. No matter what time you get there, all appointments take priority. I made an appointment for 9, and at 840 there was a line of about 20 people waiting outside. I walked up at 858, was let in and they told me that people will line up and have to stand outside for hours sometimes. I walked right in, took care of what I needed and walked out in about 8-10 minutes. Very quick, efficient and the lady was very nice. read more

I didn't know what to expect because the reviews are mixed, but I have no complaints. We had an appointment for a replacement social security card. Arrived at our appointment time. Checked in and completed the appointment all within 15 minutes. I say just book an appointment beforehand, know what documents you need prior and you should be in and out. read more

They lie, and have denied my brain damaged son disability payments for 3.5 years, finally a judge determined my son was 100% disabled in June, my son has a special needs trust, with an account at Wells Fargo. The SSI Disability figured that the back support calculated from March of 2022 was $19,221.48 as f 08/18/2025. The Present Office Manager points to a July 29,2025 letter as evidence that we did not comply with their request, so the claim is denied. She points out that we needed to give them the original or a copy of The Grant Wyatt Virgin Supplemental Needs Trust executed in 2018 for the purpose of Grant's ongoing support. We would have been better served to go to Mexico and cross the border illegally. These people are not honorable. read more

Went in with a problem. Didn't get any kind of solution. They agreed with me, but no solution.

Professional office, very clean, the security guard was very helpful and the staff was great. Let God guide you and you can't go wrong.

I got to the facility at 11 am. I was seen at 1630 am. It made for a long day. Bring a snack and water. Everyone was nice.

Set an appointment for 9 am for a replacement social security card. And to my surprise we were out of there by 9:13. No joke. This is the fastest I've ever been in and out of any government official building. The appointments are real appointments unlike other places where you set an appointment and still wait hours. read more

!!! in the past I've just walked in without an appointment but they let me sit there and wait for over an hour, and I got to the desk and they told me that they couldn't help me because I didn't have an appointment. even though I was LITERALLY SITTING at the desk with the paperwork, they still wouldn't do it for the mere fact that I didn't have an appointment. Absolutely ridiculous. Wasted my time. read more

One of the worst experiences ( lasting 9.5 yrs, 2 remands from the Appeals Council with 5 ALJ Hearings, An attorney that withdrew from my case and never subpoenaed my records after many, many times begging for my them to help me by getting my records from a specialist I paid cash to monthly for 9 years. Errors on every single thing ever put into my file. Still happening, just saw it again day before yesterday. read more

Valarie was the agent name and she was wonderful, she helped and reviewed everything I needed!!

I'm only giving a 1 because I can't give a zero. From security to administration, this is the most unprofessional, rude, incompetent group of people I've ever dealt with. Complete lack of empathy and zero assistance. read more

Tried changing where I have Social security check online. Not successful. Called Parsons branch to make appointment and lady answered. Said she could help me with that. Took my information and presto....D O N E...Wow, I'm impressed. Thank you! read more

Honestly it's a social security office... it's going to suck, there's going to be crowds of people... there's FOR SURE going to be 1 hour+ wait... and that's just how it goes. But the good news about this one: very clean and well kept, air conditioner was cool enough to not be stifled, and staff was friendly. Just apart of being an American read more

If I could leave no stars I would. This is the worst office to try to work with. Every time I call it's always a different story. You can never get a straightforward answer. They have you going around in circles for NOTHING. When you call to ask something they NEVER know! Like why are half of the people in there if their aren't going to do their jobs. I basically have to answer all my own questions or get information the best way I can. The supervisor (Something Coolie) isn't any help either. This again is the WORST office when it comes to communication and keeping you updated on the information. And they always say go online to look at the status, but when it's a CHILD there is no way to sign in to ssa.gov. They are just a waste of space. read more

Was able to reach via phone. I was serviced and satisfied without going in. I was able to satisfy the needs wanted.

So yesterday I went to the SSA office in Valrico only to find that it was closed down. Quick search on my phone showed the closest office was now on north Parsons. But wait, yesterday was Wednesday and their Wednesday hours are 08:00 - noon. That's right, they close at 12:00 PM, what? Went back today and it was setup just like a motor vehicles office you sign in and get a number and try and find a seat among the humanity that is packed like sardines, and hasn't discovered the advantage of soap and water. A 2 hour wait for a 3 minute chat with an advisor. My favorite is how they assign you a ticked like A42, but there is no rhyme or reason to what order they call people up. E165, A75, A40, F2, D121, Paul Simon, B3, and on and on it went for the 2 hours until my number was called. I don't know who designed this system but certainly was a jokester. The interaction with the actual employee behind the window was fine. read more

Mr Jackson was extremely helpful. After calling several other offices & getting only conflicting messages about the office being open, & speaking to 6 "service representatives", being transferred from one to the other & back to the same person! I was able to speak to Mr Jackson who was extremely helpful & polite. Thank you again Mr Jackson!! read more

Yes, came to the new social security office on parsons ave. Wow! Extremely spacious and great service. More elbow room and the wait was very short. I'll look forward to coming here again. Take care read more
