In just a few weeks at Marlin's, our son has improved in leaps and bounds. And while his age may show increased maturity and abilty to develop, from what I've witnessed - the hands on, VERY dedicated staff and small class size has prompted this quick improvement. Class sessions are several weeks long spanning from June to August. Tucked back in a neighborhood, the location was not somewhere I would have put on my radar. It's a home that has been dedicated to the swim school, including parking, seating, showers, and even a soda machine. But don't let it's mom and pop feel disuade you from trying them out. Their staff has done the most positive work in the least amount of time for my son. My highest recommendation for swim school in the area!

My 3 year old cried through the first 3 lessons, but the staff were so gentle and kind with her. By her fourth lesson, she stopped crying and even let them pour water on her. The school runs like a well oiled machine and the staff are ultra professional and mature. Thank took much first mommy and me classes with my baby and it was kind of a mess!…read moreThe pool had to private lessons going at the same time as our class and we kept bumping into each other and at one point I tripped over a bench they set up to "separate" the lessons. I almost went under the water with my baby . Also a baby in the class threw up in the pool and not much was done so we left the class early because I didn't feel like it was sanitary that they had us stay in the pool. Also they give the tiny babies little toys and they were chewing on the toys and then they wanted us to have the babies swap toys which I didn't think was sanitary. We didn't feel like there was much instruction or help at all I never really even spoke to the instructor the two classes we did take because she was so busy . It's also in the backyard of Someones house. No signs to point you where to go .We decided to just not attended the last two classes and just take a loss as far as the money we spent.

My daughter had dozens of lessons in Seattle and it was all play and not many skills came out of it. My son did 2 sessions which consists of lessons 5 days a week for half an hour. After 4 weeks he is confident in the water. Skills he's learned are nose bubbles, water bobbing, getting out of the water without steps, and floating. My daughter did one session with Hannah and she has gained so much confidence! She can swim on her own! It's been great to see her progress. She now understands how to breath underwater, dive, and can swim a lap in the deep end! Lessons are held outside at a private residence. The pool is kept clean. There is no overpowering chlorine smell which is nice. There is plenty of seating for parents. There is a restroom accessible for kids/parents that is connected to the house but accessible from outside. They offer mommy and me, preschool, core, and swim team classes. The description of each class is listed on their website and is accurate. Group, semi private, and private lessons.They do have multiple classes at the same time but at no time did I feel like another class was distracting from what my kids were learning. Class sizes are kept small. My son did group and semi private and they were equally great. The prices are very reasonable. Its truly priceless to see your child learning water safety and how to properly swim. I highly recommend!

We finally got a response and sent in a deposit check promptly to reserve our spot in the next months sessions. I then called a week later to see that she received my deposit check and could not get hold of her for days!! Then finally I caught her and she claimed she was going to call me that day but not "this early." It was past 8 and yes normally I wouldn't call that early but she never answered her phone so I was hoping to catch her. She then confirmed that she got my check and asked which time I would like and I told he I would check my calendar and be back to her while also asking what was the best way to contact her was since it has been difficult...she said email...so I hung up figured out a time that would work and emailed it to her...no reply. I called her about a week later to see if that time would work...no reply. FINALLY the weekend before swim lessons (on the 4th of July) she calls to leave me a message asking if I can switch another mom for a time and see u at swim lessons on Tuesday...I then called her back Sunday because I was with family and told her I could not switch to the earlier time and she said "oh ok well I'll try to make that work. See u Tuesday." And btw took several calls again to reach her. So Tuesday comes I get my son all ready he was not wanting to go so it took a lot to get him going any wanting to go to swim lessons we leave 20 minuets early even though it was located somewhere literally less than a mile from our house just in case we had by issues....and we drove around and around and around looking for this place! Could not find it anywhere!! So I'm starting to freak out because lessons re to start in just minutes and so I start calling her...I called 7 times and never got an answer....I didn't hear from her till 3 days later....so three missed swim lessons later....she finally called and said she missed us at swim lessons.....I then told her what happened and how I called over and over and told her we just were just really not impressed with her and she was very unprofessional etc she then started LAUGHING and said ohh my phone has been acting weird and not taking calls or texts..hahah and she asked if we wanted to do a make up...NO!!! If you have a business and a client doesn't show up...you go check your phone and call them. You don't call them 3 days later after three missed classes when I said I would be there and had a deposit down! So I told her we were just done and didn't want to work with her and she "oh ok. Take care." No apology ever. Absolutely stunned. Couldn't believe someone could be so unprofessional and have any clients at all. I am glad my son didn't make it into a pool with this lady. Awful!

I finally called to see if they would stop charging me every month when I was not using the club, and never actually got an enrollment card or anything! or even told that I signed a contract! i quest I actually signed up for a program for a yr. and they will continuing to charge me each month until my contract is over! i was never told I signed a contract!

The childcare has been a huge blessing to our family, giving us the chance to workout while the kids are watched over. We've also enjoyed the variety of activities they provide like the pool bounce-house nights, "parents night out", etc. We also started their tennis membership and found an amazing community to go along with a sport that lasts a lifetime.
