The time is wrong as listed here. It says open to 3:00. And at Pavillions lot in WEHO, they used to be open until 3 on Saturdays. That was the original sign painted on the door for Saturdays. I got there at 2:37. Both doors were open. The big truck was not there. He would not take my 2 bags of plastic bottles. He said he closed at 2:30. I asked to see the sign. Its painted on as 3:00 which matches the time here. He put a hand written over it " closes 1/2 hour early." Both doors were open and no truck to pick up was in sight. Freddie has gone out of his way to assist me and others. He is often extremely busy and people are not always kind nor patient. Often he is short on cash for recyclers later in the day-- a difficult situation for him and the customers. He is in desperate need of a new chair in his cubicle !!!! read more

This recycling center is A-OK. They are located in the West Hollywood parking lot that houses Pavilions, Starbucks, and the Beauty Collection. They are directly across from Pavilions at the other side of the lot. There is a big outdoor lot here but it's always crowded and there is no where to pull over here so you are going to have to walk over to the recycling which is no walk in the park if you have a lot of stuff and there isn't really someone to help you. Also, note to get there early as they are serious about closing at 4pm. Then when you get to the recycling center you ask for bins and you sort out your plastic, cans, and glass containers. The containers are not counted but weighed and you get your refund based on the weight of your items. There isn't really a whole lot of places to recycle around here so I'm glad this place exists. Also, it's convenient that it is near the grocery store. Plus, the grocery stores charge everyone a five cents recycling fee every time you purchase a bottle of something so you might as well get your money back. read more

First time recycling my bottles and cans. It is in the same parking lot of Vons. (They are located on the very opposite side of Vons itself in the same parking lot.) Need to separate your bottles and cans. They will weigh to pay you. I used to put mine in the recycle bin at my apartment, but since people are putting non-recycle stuff in the same bin, I decided to take mine here. It feels good and a nice plus to get $5 cash or so (1 bag of cans and another bag of bottles) which comes in handy for valet or tips somewhere when I go out :) read more

I come here on a monthly basis to get my recycling money back here. Only bad thing about this location is the parking. This lot is always full and the parking spaces are real small. Other than that, weekends are usually packed so don't go then. When you get there, make sure you separate your cans, glass, etc into each orange bin prior to recycling. The staff there is pretty nice and will give you cash for your cans. read more

Not even worth the drive. Abysmal attitudes with the staff. Not very friendly at all. If you regularly recycle then you already know to watch the scales to confirm the weight. As quickly as I wrote, the CEO Armond Abramian not only replied, but resolved the issue. ​The Hispanic-Mexican working at this location is so mean, and he pretends not to speak Spanish. I have seen him talking Mexican-Spanish with some Central- Americans' while ignoring people talking to him in either English or Spanish. To make things worse, I parked in their only three areas within the business lot, and I asked for help, and the guy almost killed me with his dirty look. He lacks people skills. I am also always questioning his honesty, and his "calculation" since he weights things away from the clients' view and no explanation is giving on prices or weight. Overall, I left with a bad feeling, and I think this is the last time I will go there. It is not worth it! The service they provide at this location is horrible. DON'T GO THERE. read more

I spent two hours removing my caps from bottles and squeezing out the air. I filled two duffle bags and took two busses to this center. I was surprised to only receive five dollars since I had many larger bottles. I came home and counted 210 caps. I was definitely short changed. read more

This was my first time recycling my bottles. The guy who was working there was on break so the line was backed up by the time he came back. But, other than that my wait was relatively short. Easy to find location. It is on the east side of the parking lot at the Pavillions in WeHo. There was a guy there waiting and there was no line. He puts everything in barrels, weighs them, then pays out. I'm about $6.50 richer, and helped save the planet. Win-win! FYI he takes milk jugs, but doesn't pay out for them. read more

If you are looking for cash from your recycling, this is the one and only drop off location you can go to in the area where you won't be surrounded by homeless people. I also love that this location is within the Pavillions' parking lot, which makes for an easy stop before I do my grocery shopping. Another tip: You can actually trade in much more than just plastic and aluminum bottles at this place. Check the sign for a list of what they accept! read more

Great location (Pavilion's on Santa Monica blvd), and friendly guys. I always do my own sorting (not sure if they'd help the ladies out), but its quick and easy. Rarely have to wait. Real bad attitude from 'Henry' who was working there today. I asked for his help to move a bin and basket because I had no gloves. His exact words were 'You have hands move them yourself'. No manners. Bad attitude. Freddy who is normally there is friendly and polite. Staff like Henry are bad for your business and get you 1 star reviews. read more

The new guy (Freddy?) is much better--polite and efficient--than the previous/alternate guy. I'd avoid going near closing time.

All the reviews speaking about a rude employee are outdated. Since then, new help has been hired, and Freddie, the regular guy is the BEST. He is kind and very helpful. He is also super patient, even with some of the more "iffy," homeless customers. Also, remember, that, sometimes, he does need to take a break, no matter what time of the day it is. He does not have a regular break time. He just works around how busy he is. At any rate, I've never known him to take longer than 20 minutes. Sometimes, he will even stay open a bit past closing time to accommodate his customers. I've never had anything but the best and the most prompt and polite service there. For me, it's interesting that all the complainers mention the "Hispanic" guy, as if that has anything to do with it. I think their own prejudices are showing. Not only is this place run by a good, conscientious person, it is honest, well run and also very convenient. The only drawback might be the limited parking close to the center, and, now, Pavilions is doing work in the parking lot nearby, taking away even more parking spaces close to it. But, hopefully, that will be short lived. read more

I just unloaded my entire car and when I was parking they closed even though there was a line of 3 people with bottles while I was parking. the guy could have cared less. I said, the website said you are open until 4:30 and it's 2:30. He didn't even answer and said closed. I don't appreciate that kind of service and will be finding new place to recycle. read more

I hate how their sign state they are open until 5 yet they aren't. They stop taking customers at 4:30. Cleaning up is to happen after you close like any other service industry. Or better yet clean while you don't have customers! Also, on one particular visit I was the last customer around 3:45 Pm because he ran out of money! He started turning people away! I hate having to pay a CRV fee and then fighting to get my money back from the government. Let's stop this stupid fee and set up better home recycling programs!!! Most of us work 7-4, 9-6 or an equivalent so the hours this place has is deplorable. Only day I can return recycling is Saturday and they aren't open for long on Saturday. So waste your weekend on retuning recyclables because these guys don't have hours that cover most of working America! Oh and once the guy gave me 2.97- two pennies!!!!???????? Hello news flash the CRV values are 5 & 10 cents. You can't have 2 cents! All refunds must be in increments of 5!!! Please note: CA State Law requires that all retail establishments who sell items with a CRV, also buy back these empties at the same CRV rate. Pavilions doesn't care that the center isn't open because they only have it there so they can get around not having to buy those bottles back from everyone. It sucks that companies like this get away with this kind of stuff and it sucks that we have to deal with this crap just to get a CRV fee back that the store charged us in the first place. read more

Freddy's a great guy, runs a great business he's honest and offers quick service. He pays well...actually really well. He's funny, he give you plenty of chances and always quick to put a person in check letting them now to correct themselves. The place is clean. It's run by a guy surrounded by fucked up customers who are half way dehydrated mostly sober (by the time they get to the recycling center) tough guys. He makes some jokes and comments. Shit he's honest who gives a fuck. Now personally I'll keep it private how I feel about him cause okay now that sounds too Fay. I don't like the guy is what I was gonna say. I do and I dont. I think I'm just jealous of his work ethic.. it's a great place to recycle and i would choose this place more often than most others. read more
