Raisel here at Sobe rentals is the best! We walked in around 10:30am (no reservation), just looking to see if there were any scooters to rent. Raisel was inside ready to offer us a scooter to go. Filled out all the necessary paperwork, ($200) deposit, and payment. If you need copies, just ask he will give everything to you. Also make sure to take his card, as we contacted him a few times and if he didn't answer, text worked great. We informed him that although we were renting for full day, we needed to be back earlier about 3pm to head to the airport. He kindly showed us where the scooter was parked in the garage, and gave us the code to enter so that when we do come back, if he was not around we could drop off the scooter without waiting for him. Also, when we left Raisel assured me the deposit processes same day after drop-off. The next day, I still didn't receive a refund notification so I texted him. He responded immediately and looked into it; made sure the deposit went back to me with receipt. Communication is great! The scooter itself was a bit banged up, so always remember as they takes their pictures of dents/dings, you do the same. The gas tank was just before full, he advised to come back with it the same but it only needs $2 to fill up. We went everywhere up and down south beach to downtown Miami. It was so much fun exploring on our own without restriction or worrying about paying for multiple ride-shares. Just make sure you always cover yourself when going to any rental (especially family businesses like this) - asking to see the scooter before you sign anything is perfectly fine so you know what you're purchasing. Definitely recommend Sobe Rentals! read more

Easy and straightforward scooter rental. Enjoyable ride up and down Collins Ave for the afternoon. Had to put down a cash deposit but it was returned as soon as we brought the scooter back. Fun times and great way to spend a few hours in Miami. Its at the corner of Collins and 18th. read more

My husband and I tried this rental out because it was close to where we stayed. It honestly has to be hands down the best scooter rental we've been to. Raisel was very professional and highly informative. We had an amazing experience with him since he was also very flexible and patient with our return time. His friendly attitude definitely made our experience in Miami all the more happy. I highly recommend if you want a fast hassle free place to go to. Thank you Raisel :) read more

Went to Miami for my friend's birthday and the 4 of us decided to rent scooters last minute. This place was super accommodating and we loved riding their scooters throughout Miami! Super smooth all around! read more

Amazing service. Highly recommend. Our stay was great because of Sobe ride Rental Scooters.

We rented 3 scooters for our family, the scooters were quite run down. One we had to video chat with the dude to figure out how to kick start it. Didn't get my full deposit back and I was told I didn't fill them up with gas which I did. There's other places I've rented from that I prefer on South Beach. I was a bit disappointed. read more

The best experience of my whole vacation. Raisel was beyond helpful to work with. He got us through the paperwork process quickly and had amazing energy & dope scooters at an affordable rate. I liked that this location is right off the beach and near a ton of things to do. My next time in Miami I'll definitely be back! read more

Ruined our Valentine's Day. Rented a scooter from him, did the paperwork but when I got a scooter I found out that it's horn was not working. Since, he didn't have any other scooter (and he had been nice to us), I thought of driving it without horn in Miami. However, after riding it for a block I realized that it was too risky to drive that scooter and bought it back. Since, he didn't have any replacement scooter, he apologized and offered me a refund. However, REFUND never arrived. I called him up asking for a refund, he acknowledged that scooter was faulty, but didn't want to refund the money. Don't fall for his glib language, always have things in writing, and remember that he will not be there to help if things go wrong with the scooter rental. read more

Make sure you inspect your scooter before renting from this business and take pictures to document it. We were charged 50$ for a scratch that was "fresh" when we returned our scooter. It is very unlikely that this scratch occured when the scooter was in our possession since we took very good care of it. We had no proof to contest the charge unfortunately. This felt like a very dishonest business practice. read more

Worst scooter rental experience ever. I've been coming here for 3 years with no problem. I've been extremely loyal to Raisel for art basel. This year I came with my girlfriend and met with Raisel for a scooter. He told me he'd rent it to me for $300 if I paid in cash and put down a deposit of $200. I said no problem. I rode off on the scooter and after 10 minutes realized he'd given us a one seater. I called him to tell him that he'd given us a one seater and if we could switch. He obliged and said that he'd have a 2 seater for me in a day. I came back the next day to swap out and what a mistake I made. From the start the scooter would not start often. I ended up learning how to kickstart it. Upon returning it I learned that his employee knew that the battery was weak and needed to be replaced. I then had a major crisis when I couldn't open the seat to fill up gas. I headed straight for sobe to see if they could help me with the problem on an empty tank. Raisel then pulls out an Allen wrench and uses it to go under the seat to hit the latch which he explains gets locked from time to time (imagine a trunk on a car occasionally working). He then hands me the Allen wrench and tells me that once I do it once it'll get easier. In 9 days I spent atleast 2 hours total messing with that latch. I was riding the moped home one night when I hit a speed bump and the light to the right signal flew off. When I turned back around and grabbed the cover I realized that where it screws into fixture had already had previous damage. I examined the left light cover and realized that if the part had been intact the left one would have fallen as well. I suspect that their game is reattaching faulty parts onto their bikes just so that it falls off on their clients dime. When I returned the bike I told him about the light cover and he then acted out and said that he'd have to keep my deposit. $200 for a light cover! I doubt the moped was even worth $200. I've been extremely loyal to a fault and now realize that if I want a reliable vehicle and reliable service I should never come back to sobe. My review had been 5 stars for 3 years but I realize now that they are renting out inferior equipment and cheating customers out of their deposit. You've been warned. read more

I knew I wanted to rent a scooter when I got to Miami, I just didn't know from who. I seen several scooters on the street and attempted to get in contact with a few companies and most did not have any available. I stumbled upon this company and he was able to get me in and out. He also extended my time out for me since I was running late due. Thanks so much, next time I'm in town I would definitely be back. read more

Sobe Scooter Rentals - So glad I found Sobe Scooter Rentals, this made my visit her in Miami even better - Scooter Rentals Near Me - Miami Beach, Florida

I met the owner and we got along great. But when I returned the scooter i had lost my deposit. He told me that if i left the area that I would loose my deposit only if the scooter broke down. I asked him to explain twice before I left with the scooter to ensure my deposit. I returned the scooter exactly how I received it and full of gas. I am very disappointed and unhappy. It ruined my trip leaving me 300$ short. I have rented from 2 other places in miami and did not have this issue. Go to other rental places. Trust me. read more

CROOKS!!!! My husband rented a scooter for a couple hours, and once he returned the scooter RAISEL tried to blame my husband for existing damage. He took the $200 deposit and wanted to charge him extra for the damage. Cops were involved, but did not solve anything. We paid the fee to avoid any more problems, so they took $350 total from us for damage that was not our fault. They are crooks and just want to take your money. I highly recommend going anywhere besides here!!!!! read more

I went with 4 other family members. Raisel was very nice and accommodating as well as flexible with our return time. The scooters were in very good shape and Raisel gave us a good review of using the them. One of the scooters did not start up with the battery after we had started our ride, this happened on the three wheeler, but Raisel returned our call within a few minutes and explained how to crank it up manually. We were on our way again no worries. Overall the service was prompt and courteous. I would use this place again without a second thought. read more

Do Not rent from Sobe Scooter Rentals, the owner refused to return my $250 deposit and kept telling me it will be on there the next business day which was false and never happened. I reached out to the owner several times to now the owner blocked my number and sent me one text message to email the company to which I did and still received no help. This scooter company is a scam and will keep your deposit. I returned the scooter with no damage and never left the area to which he shows you on a map you're not to drive to. Rent from anywhere else except this scooter company. This ruined my vacation and there are many other reviews that have had the same issue like mine. Be aware! read more

Raisel is nicest guy in South Beach. He gave us a quick and comprehensive tutorial. Super easy transaction.

Me and my Best fiend were down in South Beach for the first time and knew it was so much to see and so little time (4days, mini vacation) and didn't want to be in a car. We rented scooters from SoBe, Raisiel was so nice and funny. He ease our nerves about ride the scooters, they were affordable and nice size. I must say we had so much fun going through Miami . Horrible experience rented scoter which was stolen and recovered 2 days ltr and charged me $1,050 for damages like I stole it. Was told by police they could go to court & ask for restitution but easier to take off my debit card which you have to give them. Beware read fine print of contract and ask questions because they carry no insurance! !!!!!!!!!!! read more

the most poorly run rental business in miami. we rented a scooter because of the good reviews on yelp, but what we were given was an old, beat up piece of junk with a broken gas gauge, broken horn, broken body, broken steering column lock. the gas gauge read 1/2 full when we received it from the rental guy but ran out of gas 20 min into riding the scooter!!! the employee of sobe rentals was rude, very unhelpful, condescending and threatened to charge us for picking up the scooter outside of the coverage area-- which he never told us about to begin with. this operation is unbelievably unprofessional. do not rent from them! read more

Best customer service I've ever received! Really nice guy. Affordable prices too. I'd give more than five stars if I could.

If you go to Miami and is looking to rent a scooter, you must go here! The small shop is owned by a cute Italian couple. They were very friendly and personable. The shop was also nicely furnished. As far as the rates go, they are pretty much the same all around Miami Beach (we already checked beforehand) but what you get is great customer service. We rented the scooter for 24 hours at $69..totally worth it. We drove from Miami beach to Downtown Miami to Key Biscayne and it was such a great experience. It was also very convenient to have the scooter with us throughout the day as we made a bunch of stops, anywhere from different restaurants to relaxing at the beach-the scooter got us around, not to mention due to heavy traffic, we were able to cut through a lot of it and get through a whole day full of activities. When we return to Miami, which we most likely will very soon, we will definitely returning to Sobe Rental. read more
