I was flying all around great Ocala looking for a car wash that did complete interior cleaning. Well, when I drove up to Soapy's, Autumn greated me like a long time customer! She provided what seemed like every service option imaginable for both exterior and interior washing from a car wash with pamphlets, explanations thereof, the works. With that noted, I was mission driven and wanted only to have a full clean of the interior without any unnecessaries. She priced it out to something fair, set expectations of a handful of hours to include drying the cloth upholstry, etc. When I returned, the car was in immaculate condition, and Autumn was there to answer any further questions I had. This was my first time going here and I paid 42 dollars for an outside and inside cleaning. I am very disappointed with the service. There was still trash in the car, scuffs on the leather seats, and dirty on the floor and in between the seats. I don't know if they just didn't care because they thought we wouldn't notice because we are teenagers or they just didn't want to clean it properly. I've never left a bad review before but I was just not satisfied at all. Mediocre wash used for an oler car I own. The ONLY reason I used them was for the $5 Wednesday wash, which, was discontinued. So, no need to go back as there are many other better car wash companies out there. read more

Best car wash in town! All the workers are so friendly and they did an amazing job on our truck! The manage even buffed out a spot that was on our truck from a golf cart hitting me! I prefer contactless car washes. However the personalized service here is great. The wipe down is nice. The customer lounge with massage chairs is fabulous. But if I truly want to make sure my car ends up not getting scratched when going through the "BIG MACHINE" nor being treated like a lesser than ... human being of a car. 1st issue, the guy at the payment booth. Wanted me to buy a monthly membership. I explain the reason why I didn't need one. He kept asking me the same question in a different floormats. 2nd, A windshield company works working the carwash waiting room and every one that comes in needed some type of Windshield repair. Including myself. My car was perfectly fine. No chips or cracks as they claimed in my windshield. I was asked 3 times if I want my windshield replaced. 3rd , 1 hour 47 minutes to get a car cleaned outside and Inside . I won't go back. I will pay more and have someone come to my house. If you've ever read my previous car wash reviews you know my theory is that they're all owned by the mafia. Although Soapy's does slightly exceed my incredibly low car wash expectations, they are still a questionable establishment. I personally believe there is a ton of room for improvement in the entire car wash industry. Soapy's does have cute "Florida-esque" names for things. The "crabby" the "seagull" the "turtle shell wax" etc. however the washes are extremely overpriced. At $8.99 for the cheapest one! Up to $11.99 and more for just a basic car wash. I have never had the interior of my car detailed here, though that is something they offer for an equally outrageous price. Additionally, I chose the $11.99 wash because YOLO, and the tri color foam soap which was noted as an enhancement for this option wasn't even used as my car was cleaned. The staff is questionable and unfriendly at best- and they very conspicuously demand tips as they're drying off the cars. I feel guilty and slightly afraid for my life, so begrudgingly I crack my window to slip them $2. Car washes should have seizure warnings as the machines, soaps, lights and spray all are incongruent and potentially dangerous to those with epilepsy. Got the star wash. One car behind me left before they even started on mine. The big guy "cleaning," our car spent more time using the air compressor to fan himself than cleaning the car. He then proceeded to eat his bag of Doritos before starting on my car. I've never seen someone move slower in my life. I got home by the time I realized they didn't even vacuum ANYTHING on the passenger side (floor under the mat, seats, nothing). Also, it took an HOUR AND A HALF, and three cars that were behind me left before my car was done. Will never go back. Total insanity. read more

Best car wash in town! I came in for the Star Wash & Interior and it was well worth the cost. The inside was vacuumed well and wiped down clean. The car smelled fresh and the outside was spotless. The staff seemed nice and was working hard, well worth the tip. read more

I received a free car wash coupon from Kia since they didn't get a chance to wash my car. A few days later while trying to kill time before an appointment, I decided to use it. While in the car wash I was scouring my purse for cash for a tip. I came up with a $1.50 in quarters....I felt bad, but thought at least I found something, since it was an unplanned visit to the car wash. While at the towel dry station, I rolled down the window and handed the quarters to a girl who was helping. I said "I'm sorry this is all I could come up with." She said "oh I don't work for soapy's, just the window company, so I'm not sure what they do with this." Then the man who dried the car turned and rudely said "We use it at the gum ball machine that's what we do with that" and rolled his eyes and tossed the quarters in the tip bin. I apologized again but he didn't look back at me. He really made me feel like crap and wished I didn't even open my window and tip anything! Maybe he could just be appreciative of any money he's getting. Or maybe they can put the tip container in reach of the driver, so there doesn't even have to be any pressure about the tip. Had 2 of our vehicles done, total of bill $62.10. Exterior still had pollen on spots, dirt marks, inside the door handles was filthy. I keep my car immaculate so very little needs to be done. Liquid filled my coin carrier, cup holder, I had to ask one of the gentlemen working their to give ME a rag to clean it out. Also, some spots near the shifter, had a couple sticky marks which I proceeded to show the worker how to clean. When I went to leave, approximately 3pm, sun on my windshield, the windshield was dirtier than befote I took my auto to Soapy's. Interior nor vacumed, still pieces in the back compartment area. So what did I get for MY $32.05, angry. Tried to call the next day and the phone would pick up and then hang up. Do 't waste you valuable time and $$$. read more

First time visit to Soapy's and it will be the last. Requested carwash, vacuum floor mats and dust dashboard. At no time was the word "detail " mentioned by me or the I lady I paid $32 to. Outrageous but I wanted it done quickly with a minimum of services. Car wssh went fine. After I was told to wait in the lounge and I would be called when car was finished. I said no I just wanted this quickly and I would be gone. They refused and so I gathered my kids and drove away. These folks have no interest in satisfying their customers requests and then they upcharge you. We have collectively as a family visited Soapy's many times through the past few years. We have also purchased several gift cards- support the local business right. This past visit was our last. Our tires were not even half scrubbed (which may have been better than what we got), they looked like crap especially against the tire polish! Soap running down the back window, dripping down the doors, and the wipe/polish post wash...the rags must be greasy cause our car is super streaky! Very unhappy with services at soapys. My car was in desperate need of a good bathing from the love bugs and highway driving. I paid 29 bucks for them to do the inside and out along with having the bugs removed I paid 3 bucks extra for a special waxing to keep the bugs from sticking. When I got home I found dirt still in the roof tracks, ashtrays not clean and yep love bugs sticking. Save your money and do it yourself! read more

Soapy's not sure what happen to you, but your car wash is slacking. Super slow the employees absolutely look like they are over worked and tired. They sit while vacuuming your car and do a half ass job of cleaning it. This place has gone down the drain.. I will look else where to wash my car. Two people vacuuming while there is 10 cars waiting. Poorly run by management for sure. Unless you want to sit for two hours for a crappy job, go somewhere else. Got a five dollar off coupon from Valvoline next-door. First let me say that I drive a larger size van. Crabby's wash starts at $8.95 which includes a towel dry. They actually did a pretty good job the only reason I gave it a four was because the towel drying person when He saw my van he started shaking his head. That being said I always tip and it took him less than 90 seconds to dry. There is no friendliness, no real customer service just take your money do what they have to do and get out. Went to Soapy's today July 2, 2014 at 8:30 am. No one was there to take my money and give me a car wash. Waited for 5 minutes and no one came . There were other workers around but no one came to help me, so I left. Terrible way to run a business. If I was the owner I would fire the person who was assigned to be at front entrance to handle the customers. How they stay in business I will never know. read more

Wednesday 3-22-2017. What a POORLY MANAGED Car Wash. I paid good money to have the car washed and come out CLEAN, 4$ extra for tire clean and shine. I call and asked to speak to a manager, he's busy I'll help you, the female attendant wanted to play manager, lacking personnel or managerial skills. I told het the problem, tires not cleaned and I had to tell the attendant to put tire shine on my tires and to wipe the rear window. She said if the tires are dirty then they need a chemical wash, IT A NEW FREEKIN TRUCK. No apology, no I sorry for the problem, come in and we will correct the problem. NO SIR JUST A BLOW OFF. so I say to you DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON SOAPY CAR WASH, go someplace else where they care about their customers. WHAT A CRAPPY CAR WASH JOB I received a call from the OWNER's SON MATT, a man with CUSTOMER SERVICE. He started off APPOLIGIZING for the problem and how I was treated.
