I prepaid in advance and then I got a 2nd opinion, due to I had a silver filling underneath the compost filling that the dentist was just going to fill over, like the previous dentist. I was uncomfortable with getting it filled over, due to opinion of my PCP and other dentist, so I requested a refund. I was told it would take up to 15 business days to get the refund....that was last month. I still have not received refund and keep getting told that "I was told it would take up to 15 business days" to receive refund back to my card. Stay away from this deceptive dental practice at ALL COSTS. And who runs out of nitrous oxide? That is so unprofessional on ALL levels.

The dentist is my least favorite doctor and, frankly, I wasn't looking forward to this work, but he was very patient and concerned for my comfort. He suggested that I listen to my ipod while having the work done to drown out the sound of the drill. I had never been advised that, but it really did help to take my mind off the procedure! He applied enough anesthetic to make the procedure a snap; didn't feel a thing. His assistants are awesome as well. Natalie (one of the assistants) when coming back in to help him asked "what are you doing Dr. Stryker?" to which he replied "dentistry", hahaha. He was also focused on doing a great job. He went back and forth getting the overlay just right, and told me to check it when my mouth was less numb to make sure it fit perfectly. Previous doctors had not seen the decay that was happening underneath a very old filling. Dr. Stryker saw it and fixed it. He renewed my faith in dentistry. He's fantastic!

At the time of my exam I was given a grocery list of necessary procedures starting with the repair of a previous filling. Shortly after I got the filling, I ended up switching my insurance to a company they don't accept and was unable to continue the rest of the process he recommended. When shopping for a new dentist I found from second opinions that he was extremely pricey (even w/ coverage) and the grocery list was almost all unnecessary. Additionally, the medical record transfer process became difficult because the front desk staff was extremely rude to me twice when I found a different doctor and needed their assistance. I found this odd because they were nice up until then.

On multiple occasions, they used my old insurance despite several conversations confirming my updated information. Scheduling was also frustrating--appointments were frequently double-booked, leading to wait times of over an hour, even when I had the first appointment of the day. The final straw was being told my appointment wasn't confirmed, even though I had received a call and confirmed it. I was told, "We have a virtual assistant and a customer service person, so I'm not sure who you spoke to--they must not have communicated." That level of disorganization is unacceptable. Additionally, the office itself did not appear as clean as it should be and could benefit from a thorough deep cleaning. Overall, a very disappointing experience.

Many dental offices boast large waiting spaces because many times seeing the dentist feels transactional. Not this place! As someone who has had HIGH DENTAL ANXIETY, I'm super elated that Dr. Ahmed was able to keep me at ease. His bed side manners as well as his charismatic personality are definitely two of the reasons I will keep him as a dentist for as long as he practices. Dr. Ahmed prides himself on being able to do a multitude of dental procedures as well as cosmetic dentistry. Many dentists may send you off to a dental hygienist to get a cleaning, but not this doc. The office staff, both Karen & Edgar are also phenomenal! Let's be real. Outside of how the office looks, customer service matters. Friendly, smiling faces are what you'll find at Gloss Dental when you enter. As someone who has worked in a similar field, I appreciate when it's not just the patients that the front office is friendly with. Both times that I've been to Gloss, I've noticed Karen AND Edgar give the delivery men and ANYONE who walks in to this office 100% respect.

That member acts very surprised to see us there, she informs us that the whole office is on a lunch break and that she's really not even in charge of the front desk, they just asked her to stay while everyone was on break. Okay odd. She asks if I received a confirmation text or call ? In where I say no. So then after some going back and forth she schedules me for another day, we come back that day and everything goes smooth for the most part. Then I schedule for my next appointment that happens to be on a Tuesday at 11:00am. When I didn't receive a confirmation call i figured I'd call since I didn't want to make the long drive again for them to tell me that the appointment got cancelled. So I call and immediately I could tell something was off. The lady on the phone says "oh that's weird that you would Have an appointment on Tuesday when Tuesday's are just surgery days" I then proceeded to tell her that yea weird because why do I have it on my calendar and why had no one called to cancel my appointment. She just kept saying "that's weird" okay. At the end of the phone call she says that they are actually not taking Medicaid right now because they just got a new provider and they need her to get approved for Medicaid and that it was going to take a very long time. Yea after that I just hung up on her. Not only was my time wasted as I'm a professional who needed to take the time off to take my daughter to the dentist I feel very disrespected. DO NOT RECOMMEND!! Unless you're okay with them cancelling your appointments and then gaslighting you

Office/dental assistant very nice and efficient when helping me with paperwork and scheduling procedure. They worked me in in on the schedule fir later that day. Chair side assistant was a bit tough when taking X-rays, suctioning and pushing down gum around the tooth. Her instruments put too much pressure on my lips and cheeks. Dr. Martinez wanted to do the root canal and crown all in one appointment. I was skeptical but after he reassured me everything would be fine. I conceded. He must have been pretty confident that the root canal would be successful because he did the crown prep first which was very uncomfortable. I kept asking for more anesthesia. After the crown prep he initiated the cleaning out of the root canals. Also very uncomfortable. After removing the amalgam filling he discovered that the tooth had a fracture. I winded up having to have the tooth extracted! It took three to four days fir my mouth to feel back to normal!

I had a horrible experience due to lack of miscommunication and staff dropping the ball.. I was mortified, and in tears. No apologies, a specially from dr. Martinez who said well just use poligrip for now and call us when ur ready (meaning when u have the money). They left me with a messed up temporary, 20lbs lighter and struggling even after knowing what previous bad experience I had with a dentist. Yes they were nice at first and treated me like they were there to help me but ended up screwing me over..
