I like the fact that this place is a none-profit. Normally I'd give this place a really bad score,…read morebut it's probably my Mormon upbringing that makes this sort of place just not my thing. (I'm not a Mormon anymore so I'm really trying to be fair).
I just don't understand why people GO TO a place to get drunk, spend extra money on drinks when they could make them at home, pay a $5 entry fee, and then be stuck at that place or risk getting a DUI when you could have had a few beers with the neighbors on the border of your yard and invite passers-by to join in.
As I said, I don't get it.
That said. I got a good look at the place and how they conduct business as a none profit. I thought about becoming a member at one point, but... I just couldn't shake that it just wasn't my thing.
But don't get me wrong, since I don't understand it, since it's not my thing, it doesn't mean that no one else doesn't get it or that it's not other people's thing.
One of the times I came here, I tried a Gin Martini, shaken not stirred, because I guess I'm James fucking Bond. And then they had women mud wrestling.
I didn't get it.
I mean yeah, mud wrestling will get people out of their homes and all but, that's not really the way I meet women. "Hey girl who just got her face thrust into a mud pie. That was super hot. Wanna beer?"
See... I just... it just doesn't do it for me.
And while everyone was screaming and yipping and all the girls were wrestling, I couldn't help but notice a really rough looking old guy with an oxygen tank recording the whole experience on his smartphone for later fapping enjoyment.
It just felt awkward. But hey... to each their own.
This is some definition of "cool". Maybe not mine, but... I know a good number of people that run the place and I have to say, they're good, they're honorable, and they're more than well intentioned, they do something about it. They're running a none profit organization in the shape of a bar. And THAT THERE is my definition of "cool" that I see in this place.
