I met a styler, Sherri, one day outside the place and asked her if she can do something/anything to better my look, cover some of the weak areas. She made an appt for me a week later, and I couldn't be more happy with every aspect, from the service, style/professionalism, and even the price was worth it for not having to settle for a Great Clips quickie cut! They have different tiers, $15, $30, $40, etc. so it was really easy to work into my budget. Maven is a lot different than any other place I've been to. The hair dressers don't have their own stations, which was strange to me. I'm used to places that feel more like you're at home. Even though Maven was a relaxing experience, it still just felt really uptight, if that makes sense. I may try it again in the future, but I feel like it might just be a one time experience for me.

Have the same hairstylist fix it. I said, "You mean the one that did this to my hair?!" I was asking her to "fix" it as she was cutting it. It just kept getting worse and I finally had to say it was fine. Why would I want to use that same person. I wasn't asking for my money back but for someone to at least fix it. I was told their manager would be in touch. No one ever called me back. In addition to spending over $70 for the cut, I then had to pay and additional $25 at Great Clips to at least get things a little blended in. There wasn't much they could do (I was left with hardly any hair to work with), but the stylist was at least able to minimize the bowl look.
