All my life i have had weak, short, brittle nails and have tried all the tricks in the book. I've spent so much time and money on nail strengtheners that have only ever proven short term effects, that i decided to search some different alternatives to having neat, beautiful nails. I started tossing up arcylics and gel nails, did some google searches and found many pro's and cons for both, mainly cons. Then i came across all of the reviews below that were raving about bio scupture nails and so fabulous, so i had a good read and investigated bio scupture. It all sounded too good to be true, perfect, chip-free nails for 3 weeks, at the same time as helping your nails grow under the gels. Even more, dry unsmudgeable fingers as soon as you left the salon! So i gave so fabulous a call to ask more questions. I was hooked on the idea and ready to try just about anything, so i was booked in for an appointment the following day. As soon as i arrived i felt totally comfortable, some places can really make you feel unwelcome and awkward, and as a student i have the 'you so dont belong in here' look many times, but not at so fabulous. Gary straight away explained the procedure, asked me if i would like a tea or coffee, took my coat, and even asked if i wanted anything from the shop. I was feeling great! Eleni made my tea with biscuits, sat me down, asked if there was anything particular i wanted to watch on the TV, so polite and professional. She told me to take my time picking my colour, as i am terrible at making decisions and warned her it could take awhile! She assured me if i wasnt happy with my colour choice it wouldnt be a problem, big thumbs up! Gary also advised me to go for a colour, as the coloured gels contain even more nutrients and are therefore better for your nails, which made me confident with my choice in a bold red. I probably wouldnt have gone for it otherwise and now im so happy i did! The whole procedure was over within an hour, and man did my nails look amazing! I couldnt believe it, i entered with shabby, untidy nails and left with shiny neat gorgeous nails which were complemented on about 15 minutes after i left by a lady on the tube. Basically, a thin layer of gel is applied to your nails, then 2 coats of colour and then another coat of gel to seal it all up. They look so natural and flawless, just like the girl you work with who's nails you have always been sercetly jealous of! I'm already booked in for three weeks time to get them re-done. If i wasnt going home to Australia in a months time, this would be without a doubt my new salon. Its most certainly worth the journy for me from greater london. I have been a regular client of So Fabulous for almost 2 years now and I never write reviews but I feel very lucky to have found such an amazing salon that I decided to share it! I first went in to have my nails done and could not believe how great Bio Sculpture is. I used to dislike my nails as they would break so often and I didn't like their shape. Bio Sculpture changed it completely. My nails are strong and longer now. They really last 3 weeks. I have never used to paint my nails and at first I was only going for French becasue I didn't think colour would look good on my nails but Garry slowly convinced me to try different colours and I am a true colour-addict now! The range at So Fabulous is amazing and they always have the newest Bio Sculpture releases. What was really important for me was the fact that I was give great advice on how to care for my nails. Garry, Eleni and Alexis always take time to explain the treatment and make you feel so welcome. I would recommend Bio Sculpture at So Fabulous to everyone. I was very excited when I learnt that So Fabulous were introducing IPL hair removal treatments. Having known how professional the team is I was absolutely confident that this was the right salon for this procedure. The therapists have been fully trained and the Ellipse system they're using is one of the safest and most advanced in the world. Before starting the treatment, I had a very thorough consultation with Toni (my wonderful therapist) to learn more about the Ellipse system, the procedure itself, its benefits and to check whether I am suitable for the treatment in the first place. This was followed by a patch test (done on the area where I was to be treated in my case bikini). Since then I had four treatments (I purchased the recommended course of six) and the results are TRULY AMAZING!!!! I have suffered from ingrown hair in the past and the difference now is unbelievable. Toni is super professional and ensures I feel comfortable during each session. I am always given pre- and post-care advice after every treatment. This salon is a real gem. I went to So Fabulous last night for the first time. I must admit that I had already heard very good things about the place and staff, yet the experience still exceeded my expectations. I found the whole set-up extremely professional, well managed and VERY welcoming, and I haven't even started about the actual treatment I had. I had one of the decleor facials, and the only word that can descibe the experience is 'AMAZING'. So Fabulous definately do not give this treatment enough credit when they describe it on their website, because, it is NOT JUST A FACIAL!! From the moment I stepped into the treatment room, I felt myself begin to relax, with the aid of the soft mood music and wonderful aromatherapy candles. The therapist, Lisa, really put me at ease, explaining everything first and asking if I had any questions. She then began with an 'AMAZING' (there's that word again!) back massage to really relax me. During this, Lisa noticed that my shoulders were really tense, and said she would focus on this whilst doing the facial. Once the facial began, it was just so refreshing and relaxing that I simply dozed off for a while. Although the focus was on my face (and shoulders) I felt my whole body and mind completely relax. Once she finished (over an hour later!!), Lisa told me she would leave me to get up in my own time, but not to rush, and that she had left some refreshments for me on the side. When I finally (and reluctantly) got up, I saw that Lisa had brought in some mineral water, cut up fresh fruit and a biscuit (WoW!!). I know it might seem like I'm making too much of this, but that last little touch was just the icing on the cake of my 'SO FABULOUS' experience. Prior to this, my best experience of a treatment like this had been at a 5 Star Resort & Spa in the Maldives, and I really didn't think I would find somewhere that could not only rival, but better that experienceespecially not in a little salon in Caledonian Road, but this did!!! Who knew you could get that 5* treatment, so close to home!! My SO FABULOUS experience, was just that, and I will definately be going back there soon. read more

I decided to visit the So Fabulous salon based on the fantastic reviews on Qype I'm so glad I did, and I'm writing my own five star review in the hope I'll persuade others to go there! I was quite nervous about visiting the salon I was a lifelong nailbiter with an upcoming wedding, with a woeful lack of knowledge about beauty treatments. From the first phonecall enquiring about options to my final bridal nails appointment, Garry and the team were absolutely fantastic not only ridiculously knowledgeable about what they do (and very proud to offer the best in the business to their customers), but also a lot of fun to hang out with. After a couple of appointments having Bio Sculpture on my nails to try and keep me from attacking them, I knew there was no point going anywhere else for my bridal treatments. I basically handed myself over to them for two days and said 'Do what you need to do!'. For my wedding I had a french BioSculpture manicure, a full pedicure with pastel pink BioSculpture, an awful lot of waxing, eyelash tinting and eyelash extensions all done at SoFabulous. Even the fact that I rocked up the day before my wedding with a big split in one on my nails didn't faze Garry he did a great repair job so you couldn't tell at all (see the photo the nail with the split is my ring finger). Approximately 5 weeks before my wedding, I was searching for a solution to my problem nails ahead of my wedding day. I came across Bio Sculpture and the So Fabulous salon and booked an appointment straight away having read previous reviews on this site. Needless to say, it was by far the best decision i made. From the minute I met Gary, he was friendly and explained everything I needed to know regarding bio sculpture and nail care in general. I had very short and brittle nails on my first appointment and after having 3 bio sculpture applications leading up to my wedding day, I had beautiful natural french manicured nails which looked polished and healthy on the day. Everyone was suprised and questioned whether they were real nails and I took great pleasure in saying they were. I would never have been able to achieve this without the bio sculpture and without the encouragement from Gary, he assured me on my first appointment that I would have beautiful nails on my wedding day and he was right! The gel really does promote growth and provides a protective layer on top of the natural nail which prevents breakage and splitting, 2 problems I really suffered with previously with my nails. I was going to opt for gel nail extensions as I never imagined my nails would naturally grow to a nice length, especially not in 5 weeks, but they did and I am so glad I did not go to a cheaper nail extension place. A friend recently booked me in to So Fabulous for a Decleor facial as a birthday treat. And what a treat! The staff were so warm and friendly that I instantly felt comfortable- so much so that I booked myself in for a manicure directly after the facial. The facial was amazing and I was so relaxed afterwards that I was almost floating. My skin was glowing and soft and has never looked better. The facial included a 10 minute back massage, and the stress and tension I had been carrying in my shoulders after a week at work just disappeared. I went for the bio-sculpture gel manicure afterwards, which was very new for me as I am usually quite low-maintenance with my nails. The staff were excellent at explaining all about bio-sculpture, which is a sign that they really know their stuff! I am now a complete convert and I can't stop admiring my nails which have never looked so glossy and groomed. The great thing is that they're even more low-maintenance than before- I don't have to do anything to them for at least 3 weeks when I'll go back for a soak-off and have them re-done. I had such a lovely time at So Fabulous, and a big part of that was that the staff never made me feel rushed or just like another client, but really took the time to engage with me. So Fabulous is London's best kept secret! I first went to this amazing salon over a year ago, with my nails in poor condition after having had acrylic nails for over 5 years. The two owners, Eleni and Gary were amazing - they are incredibly knowledgeable and tailor their service to the needs of each client, keeping records of everything from your nail health and treatments to your varnish colour history. They took the time to explain about Bio Sculpture and how they could help repair my natural nails. They were true to their word, and within a few months my nails were recovered and fabulous! I am constantly stopped and asked about my nails, and it's all down to So Fab. Their other treatments are also top class, particularly the massages by Alexis and the new individual lash extensions. I have never written a review before but felt after a great sevice it was nessesary to do so.I decided to spoil myself and have Bio Sculpture on my hands and feet as i was getting married on 1st september.My first contact with So Fabulous was when i phoned to book an appointment they were very proffessional and extremely friendly.My therapist was Toni and she was lovely and welcoming, I would definately recommend her to all my friends and family, she did a brilliant pedicure and it still looks great 3 weeks on not a chipped nail in sight!!.Then i had a Bio Sculpture manicure with Garry which was performed just as proffessionally.I was a bit unsure how bright to go with the french colour but Garry remained helpful and patient until I was one hundred percent happy and satisfied with the final result.They also still look good 3 weeks on from when i had the treatment.If you are a Bride To Be I would highly recommend Bio Sculpture yes it's a little bit more pricey compared to a conventional manicure and pedicure but the length of time it lasts without spoiling makes it more cost effective in the long run.The beauty of this brand is that it sets immediately on contact with a special light so theres no drying time and no chance of smudging which keeps it looking immaculate. So Fabulous is just that...so fabulous! My first visit was about 4 months ago, having found the salon on the web looking at reviews like this. Since then, I had 5 bio sculpture treatments with Gary which have meant that without wanting to show off - my nails are absolutely amazing by now, having always been brittle and uneven until I discovered So Fabulous, Gary & Biosculpture. Because I really like this small salon with its down to earth atmosphere, I have also branched out into having Brazilian waxes with Elenie. I was a little nervous at first, as it was my first time waxing, but she was very gentle and made me feel so at ease. I was very pleased with the results and I have already booked my next appointment. Both treatments were done to the highest standards with market leading products. Above all, I always leave the place feeling very relaxed as all staff are easy to talk to and so are the other clients. They also serve very yummy buscuits and tea / coffe at So Fabulous, what more could a girl want after a busy day in the office? I have recommended the place to a close friend who has already become addicted to having confidence boosting shiny red nails. It's taken me a couple of weeks to find the time to write this review, and even after this time, I'm really impressed with how well my Biosculpture manicure has held up to my busy life. I stopped having false nails applied a few years ago, when the trend seemed to die out and false nails became naff. Since then, my nails have not been something that I have been particularly proud of, a quick buff and a coat of nail polish and that was me done. However, I was becoming frustrated by the fact that as soon as I have polished my nails, they would chip very quickly, even when using expensive brands. After having this manicure, my nails have not chipped at all for two weeks. And they look amazing really shiny ! For the first time in years, I'm actually proud of my hands. Friends say they have never seen them looking so nice. I wholeheartedly recommend Biosculpture at So Fabulous; it would be the perfect solution for nail biters, or people that don't have much time but who want to look polished. The process gives your nails a lovely faultless look which cannot be achieved with nail polish alone. I have been looking for a good salon in the kings cross neighbourhood for ages and am so pleased to have come across So Fabulous! I went there for the first time today to have a luxury manicure and luxury pedicure. The positive feedback people have left on this site is extremely well deserved. I arrived in time for my appointment and was given a super friendly service and made to feel comfortable from the moment I stepped in. I was offered tea / coffee / a drink etc and then Toni took me into a room to have my pedicure done. She was so so friendly and professional and did an excellent job. I asked for French polish which looked immaculate. I had a table with 3 current magazines on do flicked through those while I waited. After the pedicure I was taken into the main salon space and sat at one of 3 long work stations and Harley did my manicure for me. There was constant friendly chatter going on between both customers and the staff and the time passed very quickly. Although I had a manicure this time I saw people who had bio sculpture nails and I will definitely get those next time and they look great. The service was so friendly, professional and good that I can't wait to go back. I have already booked my next beauty treatment there. I am extremely impressed. read more

I was recommended So Fabulous by a friend who regularly goes for lots of different treatments. I wanted to stop a life long habit of biting my nails - my friend recommended bio sculpture. I have been to So Fabulous for only 3 bio sculpture appointments and my nails now look perfect. Eleni and Gary transformed them in weeks! After my first bio sculpture I decided to have a fake bake for a New Year Party. Gary had explained the process to me and had given me lots of tips in terms of how to prepare and when to have it done in order for it to look perfect on the night. Alexis did my tan and on the night of the party it looked perfect- there were no streaks and I will definitely go back again when I next need a tan! The service every time has been great, I'm always offered a drink and a biscuit and I would thoroughly recommend the salon to anyone who needs a pamper. Bio sculpture is an absolute must for anyone who wants nice nails. I'm hooked and will not be going back to biting. All the staff are so friendly and helpful every time I have been. So Fabulous was recommended to me by a couple of friends. Along with some of my work colleagues, we decided to treat ourselves to a team Christmas pamper evening to get us ready for the Party Season. When you arrive at So Fabulous, there is an immediate family atmosphere in the salon. Eleni, Gary and Alexis made us feel so welcome and had even arranged party nibbles, cupcakes and wine for us all which really got us into the Christmas spirit. There were 6 of us at our Pamper evening, however nothing was a problem at So Fabulous, we were never made to feel rushed and they even hung around waiting for us to open our Christmas presents. I had the bio sculpture nails which have never had before, however I am so impressed with. By now (3 days later) I would certainly have chipped my nail polish and the colour definitely would not last until Christmas, however there isn't a scratch on my party nails and they still look as perfect as when I left the Salon. So Fabulous don't just give you the treatments, they explain what they are doing and why and also ensure you know about aftercare. I found So Fabulous looking for a salon to have a decleor facial on the internet. The reviews on qype were so good I thought I'd give the salon a try. I usually find the salon experience daunting, but I was getting married in a few days and stress always plays havoc with my skin so I knew it needed some TLC if I was to look presentable for the pictures! The salon itself was lovely and the staff so warm that within 5 minutes of walking into the salon, I booked myself in for the fabulous bride package. Everything about the service and treatments was perfect. The staff were attentive, calm and knowledgeable and excellent therapists and the attention to detail such as fresh fruit and water after the facial was a great touch. The Aroma Expert Sooth facial did exactly what it said on the tin and my skin, which always becomes red, dry and sore when I'm stressed, looked beautiful on the day. There was no redness in sight apart from on my finger and toe nails after the brilliant pedicure and biosculpture manicure! The bridal package was excellent and I really felt like a fabulous bride. For someone that hated salons, I'm now hooked on the So Fabulous experience. read more

I think the name says it all! It really is so fabulous!!! I went there couple of weeks ago after reading the positive comments on this site and met Gary and Alexis. It was my first visit and they asked me to fill in a form with allergies and stuff which I found was very professional. The same form was used at the end to record the treatment I had and even the colour of nail polish I used!! Gary and Alexis are very friendly but not invasive (have you ever tried going to have a treatment and having the beautician digging into your personal life?!?), they are professional and Alexis, who did my manicure and pedicure, explained to me step by step what she was doing. They also offered me a drink, which was very much appreciated, considering I was coming from the other side of town, and a coffee was just what I needed to unwind. At the end of my treatment I also received a loyalty card on which you get stamps for every £10 spent and, when the card is completed you will receive some credit for further treatments. And the best thing was that, after over a week, a girl on the bus complemented me for the beauty of my nails!! What else to say? :-) read more

As a regular biosculpture nail client with gorgeous nails by now, I've branched out to laser treatment. It's now been my 4th time that I have had IPL laser treatment with Alexis in the bikini area. I totally love this new service the So Fabulous salon has launched. Having heart different things about laser treatment in the past, I was surprised how relatively painless and quick it actually is. The results are totally amazing (already after the 4th treatment) and I'd recommend it to anyone who is looking for permanent hair removal. When I have finished with this treatment (2 more to go), I will be likely to also consider it for my legs and arms as it's so much easier than shaving / waxing. The entire team at So Fabulous is very customer focused and friendly. When I considered laser, Alexis was great with explaining the procedure to me. I am so happy that I actually went for a Brazilian and so is the hubby needless to say. I think the prices at So Fabulous are very competitive and I also love their eye brow shaping and pedicures in the summer. With a trip to Mexico looming, I was due a pre-holiday makeover and wanted not only a salon where I could get everything done in the one place, but somewhere I could feel at home. I'd researched numerous places and there were certainly cheaper on offer, but I decided to take the chance on So Fabulous (given the great reviews on Qype!). I was not disappointed. From the moment I called and was given extensive advice on BioSculpt nails by Eleni and help in finding scooter parking by Gary, I knew I'd made the right choice. My experience in-house just cemented my loyalty to these guys - they are professional yet warm and friendly; are very knowledgeable in all things beauty and wellness and are genuinely nice people. Not only did I walk away with fabulous new nails and lovely eyebrows, I left with some fabulous advice from Eleni on the fashion industry and launching my own accessories brand - well beyond the call of duty!!! I'm so pleased to have found this salon right on my doorstep! I had a bit of a mothers day cooking disaster & managed to singe a few eyelashes on the outer corner of one eye (barely noticable to anyone else but painfully obvious to me.) I wouldn't normally consider lash extensions but boy was I glad when I found that this place did them! They fitted me in at very short notice, gave me a consultation before hand and advised me to go for 'flicks' to even them up, which was actually the cheaper option (thanks for your honesty!). The results were really natural and Eleni, my therapist, really put me at ease as I did feel like a bit of a fool at first given the circumstances! After my treatment & on seeing what a great service they provided I asked if they could slot me in for a last minute bikini wax too, which they did. Top marks on that front too. After wanting perfect nails for so long, being ashamed to even function my Ipod and after a couple of weeks of researching Bio Sculpture I stumbled upon "So Fabulous"... and this they are. I was given great advice on how to care for my nails, something that I have never received from any nail technician, after spending a few years in acrylics. They advised me on how to remedy my abrasive cuticles and bio sculptured my nails to such perfection that I didn't even recognise my own hands. Eleni has great attention to detail and both Eleni and Gary make you feel welcome from the moment you walk in. The other positive reviews can only be believed once you give them a try. Believe me you wont be disappointed! Their service is attentive without being obtrusive. Simply a breath of fresh air.
