So Delight sweet cheese kunafa dome - whole and as it arrived. It even LOOKS tender and buttery. I miss this thing, I swear I need to get an
    Julie S.

This is going to be LONG, so bear with me :) I like to support small businesses, so after seeing Facebook ads repeatedly for So Delight, I purchased 4 items for the holidays :) The first item I tried was... ~ CREAM BALAH EL SHAM: These reminded me of small eclairs (oblong cream puffs, perhaps?) but with honey and nuts on top instead of chocolate. The cream inside is as close to perfect as you can get - not too sweet, remained light and fluffy, great flavor, and the outer pastry held it's form and was quite tasty in it's own right. I wish my grandmother was still alive - she would have absolutely loved these. However I did bring some by for a friend to try and got to watch her and her husbands eyes go wide when they tried them. I promised I would get them the contact info for So Delight as soon as I got home. So I am not biased - these were reallllly good! **sidenote** After leaving a few sitting for the past couple days, the sweetness soaked into the dough but still kept ALL the same flavors and texures. They didnt get hard or taste 'off' like old pastry normally would. I think I like them even more now lol After these we tried... ~ FETEER CREAM w/HONEY: Dense cream filled with nuts and raisins, inside a sweet phyllo wrap (with honey and nuts on top). It begs to want to ooze (yet does not) when heated in the microwave for about 30 seconds. The honey on top pools slightly when heated up. It turned the philo outside into this lightly sweet and sticky wrap surrounding the cream, nut, and raisin contents. You won't often catch me eating dessert with my hands but I was slowly nibbling at the wrap lol This was good and ticked all my favorite boxes yet was not my most favorite of the items ordered. THAT honor belonged to... ~ SWEET CHEESE KUNAFA DOME: I don't know what it is about this dessert. As much as I refuse to stop sneaking slender slices of the cheesecake (we will discuss that in a moment) it is the Kunafa dome that has me utterly enraptured! Imagine if phyllo and cheesecake had a baby... THAT is the miracle of Cheese Kunafa. Instead of traditional layers of phyllo, these are somehow shredded (??) yet maintain their buttery delicate texture and taste. Slightly dense in form, with cheesecake filling between the two outer layers, topped with sweetened syrup to help hold its form... It is the definition of heaven of Earth. This one hasn't left my office. I refuse to share lol It's here watching me type, with a paring knife to cut slivers of it off to snack on. 100% chance that I will order this again, in a larger form (in case I have to share haha) for pretty much any event I have an excuse to buy dessert for. This and the... ~ BASQUE CHEESECAKE: This remarkably creamy cheesecake has no discernable crust. If you look up the word 'delectable' in the dictionary, a picture of this cheesecake will be there. Where do I even begin? This was my first time trying a Basque cheesecake and... yes, I was leery. It looked good, the concept was interesting (ie. 'burnt cheesecake') but I am pretty fussy about my cheesecake density, flavor, consistency, etc. Okay, I border on 'cheesecake snob', I admit it. The Basque cheesecake is dense enough to hold form, creamy but... more like a whipped style - light, delicate. Instead of tasting like the usual standard creamy cheesecake, the consistency is closer to a flan perhaps? It's exquisite. I'm not entirely convinced I can just go back to a New York style cheesecake after this. And seriously, why would I even want to??? The cheesecake also came with chocolate topping. I was expecting syrup or such, like from a bulk supplier... HAHAHA Nope. The chocolate topping tastes like a milk chocolate fudge. It even set a bit and I had to heat it up to pour it. It's delicious! This was our dessert for Christmas night, and I had to swear to the neighbor (he had to leave early) that I would bring him a slice the next day. I also had to promise to save a slice for my friend and her husband, who are excited to try it as well (and also are cheesecake connoisseurs). All in all, this experience (and one of the wonderful company owners, who I got to meet during drop-off) made me very glad that I went outside my comfort zone and placed an order online. I highly, HIGHLY suggest trusting them with your tastebuds. I will 100% be ordering from them again (they have entrees and I need to try those!) and if anyone has any questions about what we ordered, feel free to reach out to me and I will respond :)

Delicious treats and reasonable prices. Thumbs up and rave reviews from the three picky eaters in my house.

We had the Lava bread and the select two which were the hummus and Muhammara which is a Puree of red peppers, walnuts, garlic, olive oil & pomegranate. $12 My husband ordered the Red Lentil Soup but he wasn't a fan, it tasted like Tomato Bisque. For our entree, I had the Lamb Sis Kebap which I shared with my mom and had enough to take home for lunch the next day. This was a big portion. My husband ordered the fried fish, it came with a big salad and rice. He said the fish needed some seasoning. The prices are reasonable for the amount and quality of the food. We also ordered Turkish coffee and the Kunefe which none of us had ever had and I must say it is my favorite dessert ever! The restaurant looks nicer at night. It has a better ambience. We ordered the mixed appetizer and the famous lavas bread. To our surprise we got a flat, deflated pita bread instead. Lavas bread is a signature dish of Bosphorous so I called the waitress and asked why the lavas bread was deflated. Answer: must have a hole. The manager came around so I told him the same and added that I had chosen this place for my birthday and was looking forward to the round and puffy lavas bread but got a pita bread. His answer: some time that happens. Sorry but for a restaurant of this level, they shouldn't let their signature appetizer leave the kitchen if it isn't perfect. End of story. And at least the manager should have cared but didn't. Otherwise, my husband and I shared a mixed grill, my mom had a shrimp dish she liked and they did bring me a dessert with a candle which was nice. If I go back to Bosphorous it won't be this location. Parking was Ok but it was also Wednesday.

I've been on the go since before the sun was up today. Usually I would get the food to go - but today I just needed to sit and eat like a human instead of in the car etc I wanted a few minutes of peace and quiet before going to my chaotic home. Is there sometimes a 10 to 15 minute wait for the food - yes... I'm more than happy to wait because everything is prepared fresh in your view. I grabbed my phone and expected to watch TikTok for entertainment... Be aware! If you can't wait the 15 minutes - save this place for another day unlike a nasty woman who was loosing her mind that 15 minutes had passed and they were putting her meal together. People are wild - I wanted to say mam - do you not see these guys moving as quickly as they can? I sat and watched for a moment. Both of the guys working tried nicely and calmly to explain that they were preparing the food etc - she was literally having a temper tantrum. Thank goodness I don't work in that field as I think she would have been wearing that food. Anyway this review is long overdue! I am always happy with the food. Seeing how they handled a wacko customer made me sure these guys care very much about their business. The garlic sauce is to die for! We have never got any dish or dessert from here and not gobbled it up! Enjoy!!

Unlike the venue in Hollywood, Florida, which is near our home, this one is larger and brighter and more spacious. The food is just as good and the atmosphere also is cheery and bright. We had the saganaki and the grilled octopus appetizers. Both were very good. Although we are used to cold, marinated octopus we thoroughly enjoyed this grilled version. For dinner, hubby had the lamb board and I had the slow-cooked lamb. Both were savory and satisfying, and we had enough leftovers for the next day's lunch. We were adventurous and tried the Galaktoboureko dessert, custard wrapped in honey phyllo. It was served warm, and it was sweet and creamy. Our server Rafael was very attentive. About the only problem we had was that the appetizers and entrees arrived at the same time. Say what? Nico, one of the managers, chatted with us before and told us he had worked at the Taverna Opa in Hollywood. After our meal, he stopped by to see if we liked this restaurant and even offered us a taste of mastiha, a Greek liqueur. Hubby doesn't drink, but I gladly accepted a shot (and really liked it). We had dinner around 6 pm and the entertainment was starting just as we were leaving a bit after 7 p.m. We couldn't stay longer because we had to catch a speaker. You can tell that the kitchen takes great pride in the quality of the ingredients and the preparation of every dish. The portions were generous, and every bite was better than the last. It was one of those meals where you genuinely look forward to trying everything on the menu. What really made our visit even more special was our server, Mark. He was absolutely awesome! Mark was friendly, professional, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. He took the time to explain the different dishes to us, including what the ingredients were, how they were prepared, and what he personally recommended. His explanations were extremely helpful, especially for someone who wants to understand and experience Turkish cuisine rather than simply order something randomly. Mark never made us feel rushed and was always checking on us at the right time without being intrusive.
