i've been visiting nuevo vallarta with my family all week and i can safely say that this was the best breakfast i've had yet. we ate breakfast at the restaurant in front of So Chill a few days ago, and though it seems to be the more popular option, the quality simply doesn't compare.
I ordered a green juice and a hot chocolate to drink, both of which were amazing. the juice was natural and made right there in the kitchen, and the hot chocolate was good enough to remind me of the hot chocolate i make at home. my sister and i wanted to share two things from the menu, and they very kindly split our meal into seperate plates for us. i had half of the nutella and banana waffle, and the green chilaquiles with chicken. both of these plates were amazing, and left me feeling satisfied and honestly just in a good mood.
the owner's husband came out and spoke to us, and. his presence around the restaurant definitely created a welcoming and positive atmosphere all around. my parents ordered coffees, and he explained to us that the coffee they use is local, harvested about 2 hours from nuevo vallarta, and he orders it weekly to make sure the coffee he makes is as fresh as possible. we ended up ordering a kilogram of ground coffee to take back home because it was so good!
the menu had a plethora of other juices and smoothies, as well as different milk options for those seeking non-dairy options. very accessible for people with dietary restrictions/preferences!
overall, this breakfast experience was awesome, and had i known about this restaurant a few days ago, i wouldnt have gone to the other restaurant 20ft away. if you're in the nuevo/puerto vallarta area looking for a nice, organic, and trendy breakfast with a local feel, definitely check out So Chill :-) read more
