This pharmacy refuses to provide oral contraception, aka "the pill" to women. If someone tries to fill prescription at this pharmacy, they are handed a note, signed by the owners, stating that they will no longer carry this class of medication.
This story came to light when Snyder Drug refused to fill the prescription of a 49 year old woman who uses the pill as medication, not contraception. She claims that when she asked why, she was told by the pharmacist that they did not carry oral contraception because it was "dangerous to women", although this statement is not endorsed by her doctor, the Montana Pharmacy Association, the Montana Board of Pharmacy or the Federal Drug Administration.
Co-owner and author of the note, Stuart Anderson, has made other public statements of support for pro-life/anti-abortion positions. read more
