THEN she informed me that I must pay 100% coat before ordering. There should be a sign stating this everywhere. She had less than mediocre knowledge of Maui Jim's (expensive but worth it), & kept blaming everything on the centers policy. "It's not my call...." You represent the place you work! Own it. Had not had my eyes check for about 10 years and was very pleased with the doctor. She was helpful and didn't push me towards contacts or glasses but made suggestions. My only downside of my visit was the young lady who helped me choose glasses wasn't as helpful as I would like in choosing frames and such. She could have educated herself more to help people choose frames good for certain face shapes, or just been better observant of my style to help choose ones that might have worked. She was hesitant but okay. Over all my visit wasn't bad by any means. read more

I have been a loyal customer for over 10 years. About a year ago, I went in with an irritated eye, and the doctor recommended that I switch from contacts to glasses, since that would allow time for my eyes to adjust. I took issue with that -- glasses are not cheap, and I found it odd that only one eye was having problems, which the doctor did not address in his diagnosis. Turns out I'm allergic to the brand of contacts I was using. I switched brands, and all the problems in that eye went away. When I went again to the doctor (Dr. Poteet, who I was surprised would say this), he said that I was wrong, and that I should go ahead and invest in a new pair of glasses. They charged me over a hundred dollars for repeat appointments, during which they continued to harrass me into paying for glasses. I finally confronted the receptionist, who was rude on the phone and yelled at me. I have since moved, and I have to say that although I miss Laramie, I am so grateful to be out of the clutches of businesses like these, who use the lack of competition in town as an excuse to cheat and abuse their patients. Long story short, go to Fort Collins if you want fair treatment. Snowy Range Vision might do in a pinch, but in the long run they'll try to take advantage of you. read more

This review is primary for Dr. Gary Poteet. While traveling to Laramie to visit my family I experienced an eye injury and needed immediate care. Dr. Poteet and his staff were gracious enough to work me into the schedule on a weekend and provide emergent care. He saved me from much discomfort, was very friendly, and I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone. Such a stellar experience. read more

Excellent service, my daughter was having vision problems and Snowy Range Vision got her in that week! Dr Aldrich was excellent with her and even helped keep my 4 year old entertained. He wears glassses as well and I will be switching from our old Ft Collins office to Dr. Aldrich. Fast service as well as my daughter received her glasses in a week. This place gets 0 stars. I have never dealt with a more unprofessional group of people. They are not HIPPA compliant, and will hold your prescription hostage until insurance clears. They are overpriced, and the office staff is rude. They have a policy of not releasing prescriptions based on outstanding balances. This is illegal, and I am currently filing complaints with the FTC, HIPPA, and the BBB. On top of that, make sure you know exactly how your insurance needs to be billed because their "billing lady" will just resubmit it for 7 months. Had they billed my insurance correctly to begin with or at least followed up on the claim with the insurance company they would have been paid then. Regardless, as a medical professional, I strongly advise that you go somewhere else to receive patient care. read more

I went in for an eye infection along with a follow up appointment the following day. The doctor herself, Sue, was great and very helpful and knowledgeable. However upon leaving after my follow-up visit, my experience at the front desk was not as pleasant. After my previous appointment, the 1st receptionist explained to me that my co-pay was not listed on my card and they would have to call in to find out how much I actually owed after insurance and offered to bill me and verified my address and phone number. Checking out after my second visit there was a black haired receptionist who I can only describe as rude. When I explained what was going on with the insurance and what the other receptionist had told me yesterday, she insisted that no one who would've "ever" told me that and that I was incorrect. She went so far to raise her voice at me insinuating I was not being truthful and brought tears to my eyes when I had an acquaintance of mine behind me in line as well. She insisted I would have to pay the totality of the bill ($140) before insurance Annan for me she didn't know if my insurance would cover anything. Note I have Blue Cross Blue Shield which is accepted at their office, and had marked on my paperwork that I would not like to be seen if my insurance was not accepted because I was well aware of my financial limits. Are usually pay anywhere from a $10-$15 co-pay at any other medical provider. She would not take my car down on file when I offered and said billing me was not an option despite what the prior receptionist had told me. I found she caused me unnecessary embarrassment and put a damper on the otherwise excellent services of the office. read more
