Yes, the…read morewilderness of Hells Canyon and the river is stunning in its beauty, but this three-day trip was perfect in every way because of our top-notch tour guide, idahoafloat Dave (owner-operator) and his guides Austin and Sam are professional and knowledgeable - with safety, comfort, and enjoyment of their guests top priorities. The day before putting in, Dave stopped by the motel where we were staying to give us an orientation and give us waterproof bags to pack before morning. He showed up promptly the next day to take us to the dam to get started. Meanwhile, Kate back at the office was a key member of the team, reaching out to me to ensure my dietary restrictions were accommodated in the menus for the trip. Dave and his guides were on top of the river conditions, stopping to scout the more challenging rapids and smoothly navigating all of them. Coffee and breakfast was ready to go when we came out of our tents (and the coffee was better than I expected on a camping trip). Every meal was very good and balanced - Dave and team went out of their way to ensure our satisfaction. Near the end of our trip, a couple guests strayed away and the guides went on their way to make sure everything was ok.
