We were referred to Snowden after several failed attempts to find a contractor for a project where we needed our driveway widened. The owner came out and talked to us about what we needed. He wrote up the bid and sent it over and we approved it. He then wrote up the plan and got the county permits. We had to wait as we had to go out of town but they started when we asked and they were done ahead of schedule. We are so impressed with thier work and the speed at which they got everything done. The crews that came out were friendly and respectful of our property. I just can't say enough about how great this experience was. read more

My old Lawn, the sprinklers were insufficient and it was hit and miss and we always had this weird round circle. That was dead in the middle. We had them come out and put a whole new sprinkler set up in now we have brand new grass growing in where there wasn't any before. I am very happy with the sprinkler system. They came in when they said they were on time they finished the job in the day. I'm very pleased with the service that I got was a little pricey , but to me it was worth it. read more

We hae Mr Snowdwn come to our home when we first moved to Pahrump in 2019 to take a look at our current landscaping. He was fairly decent to my husband nut rude to me...saying to me "please keep up" (I was behind them because there was not much room to walk abreast in the breezeway). Just a sourpuss the entire time. We have never called them since. If Snowden has really quit, which I doubt since he owned the company...unless he sold it, maybe the company has a chance at survival. Dan at Snowden Landscape was able to turn our vision for a beautiful backyard into reality, in the middle of July. From his drawings and design that were quickly accepted by our HOA (since the Snowden name is known and trusted throughout Pahrump), to his hard-working crew who busted their butts daily to turn our dust into an oasis... to a truly expert, professional job, we were thoroughly impressed. We now have rock, a pad for our spa, trees and bushes, irrigation, grass for our dogs, and a brick patio and pathways. We had some trees and a drip system installed and within one year it failed and we were told that we had a one-year warranty and we called to get it fixed because it failed. When the guy showed up it is white Chevy truck he cussed me out because he had to come and fix it. I'm not a f****** hard guy to get it along with but he was a dick. Don't come here after you made thousands of dollars to install some stuff and it failed within the one year watching cuss me up because you have to fix it. I'll never suggest your company to anyone else and I will always bad-mouth you for the rest of my life. read more

They came and dumped my gravel in an empty lot across the street. I lost a couple of shovelfuls that way. He did not plan the landscaping for growth. After a few years the plants were growing into each other. They should have been separated more. After the job, I did the research I should have done before I hired him. He way overcharged me for what I had done. He was professional and on time. The job was done when they said it would be. read more

At first it was great. Had the same people coming out. Things going as I asked. Then over the last year, I've had to replace 2 plants on one side of my garden, and had to pay for one, even though Snowden people were not tracking the irrigation system. Then just very recently. Another plant went dead, a big one, and when I questioned the worker, he got mad at me for asking him questions. I said I wasn't going to argue with him and please get Dan (the owner), and Snowden quit. This is more than unprofessional. I used them for three years, three. Had this company out to work property. Foreman did not keep us up to date as to what's up next. Told e they had a lot of rock to spread, the following day temps were high, they would start at 0600. I was ready with ice chest of water and box of towels. They didn't show up until 10:am and then in minutes left one guy all day to rake. Foreman says whatever you want we will do. Only thing is every time I asked he would call his Father, and then he would show up shortly to tell me why not. Problem was we were held hostage because the foreman couldn't or wouldn't line out the process so we could live our daly lives around this week long project. This $12,000 plus project was referred to as "Small potatoes", by the owner. It was suppose to be clean and smooth like the Holiday Inn sample. However because I questioned the foreman, this job finish is shabby and rushed. They changed the type 2 to type 1 for the driveways stating it would be like aggregate after watered and packed. Not so, however it looks just OK, but it's loose in places. The foreman plays a lot, dangerous when driving the bobcat, but does not trust his crew enough to allow them to do what they know to do. Example two man team spreading chat and rolling it out for 3 hours. Foreman comes in with a bobcat and tears it all up and then cracks on the employees for not having it done. Calls Dad (owner) and in minutes the employee is given a training lesson on "how to" in plan view. Owner states they have "Big jobs they are working on, golf course, etc, etc. residential work is "Small Potatoes". Isn't that how a business starts? They know everyone. Even small potatoes can pay the bills. As the payee on this job, I would think a little respect was in order. In reading theses reviews, I noticed a few in the not recommended section, however they are positive reviews. Maybe due to the same issues of personal treatment Who's got twelve thousand dollars to buy rock? And is it small potatoes for regular people? I don't think so. Kinda happy with it, wish they had better people skills. Didn't like the feeling of defense from bulling. My requests were disregarded or diverted to Dad. Update: Last week, Sept 23rd, we called and asked for someone to stop by and check out one of the fan plants that wasn't looking very good. There was some kind of issue with communications between my Wife and Jake. Their office calls with whatever story Jake came up with and denied warranty service. Fortunately Mr. Dan Snowden, Owner called and spoke to my Wife only. Because after they finished in May, I stepped out of it altogether. We have had dealings with bullies before, it's all documented, everyone of them. Lawsuits pop up and you never know when a class action suit will rear its ugly head. Best to be prepared. Example: My Pillow Co. As for the warranty replanting - Excellent work, looks like new. These guys are THE BEST!! Excellent communication from the start, whether with the office ladies, owner Dan or the work crew (thanks Dennis, John & David!). Showed up on time (or early!) for a five day project. Were respectful, diligent, quiet while installing new automatic irrigation system throughout our acre. I was very pleased with the work they did for us. They removed 10,000 sq ft of grass sod, leveled the ground, installed weed barrier, hauled in and spread gravel, all for what I thought was a reasonable cost and in a timely manner, once they started the job.
