I knew I could get paid for doing something that I loved but didn't have a clue on where to start or how to create a business. The idea at first was a bit overwhelming especially since I consider myself to be slightly technologically-challenged. Fortunately for me I was introduced to Ryann Van Riper, graphic designer and owner of Zyp Design Co. and she quickly got "the ball rolling." I was extremely impressed with Ryann's talent, enthusiasm, and response time. She not only took my ideas and thoughts but had excellent suggestions herself; Ryann made my ideas come to life with personality and color. The creative design process of coming up with a name, a look, a color scheme and business cards was very exciting and enjoyable thanks Ryann!! She definitely gets my recommendation not only for the reasons listed above but also for her professionalism, attentiveness, and knowledge. Thank you Ryann for all your support and making my vision a reality. Angelique Eastburn À la Angelique www.facebook.com/alaangelique1.com

From the website she also built our Facebook page. I totally enjoyed working with Ryann and wholeheartedly recommend her. Oh BTW, this was all done "virtually" as I am in Oakland and Ryann is in Ashland - her web meetings were easy to do, efficiently run and productive.

JCI Marketing - Where the work gets done...

The only bright spot was Tonya. Beware of the ---1 (star) costs $3K-$5K 2 $5K-$7K 3 $7500 and up --- sales pitch as it is only a ploy to get your budget pegged and drive the needs for your site up on you. The bottom line is that the SquareSpace platform allows much of traditional costs for coding and designing a website to be drastically lowered. Squarespace makes designing a websiter EASIER by including off-the-shelf building blocks of the most popular features of websites to be easily added at the click of a button. The cost for designing a SquareSpace website should be LESS expensive and not MORE expensive than traditionally designed websites on the Joomla or Wordpress platform. Instead JCI upcharges anytime you want to add basic things such as an actual portfolio to your site. This review is based solely on my experience working with JCI so if you want more details or references of other SquareSpace designers please email me at leorcastillo@gmail.com @Jared: Call me crazy but I still have the ONE and ONLY response you sent about the concerns I communicated to you and Tonya who told me you would get back in touch with me about my portfolio when you got back into town...AFTER she took my last payment. Via iMessage a month later you said the following "Hey Leo....I don't know what happened but my iMessage acted like I responded to you but I just realized I didn't get back in touch with you." No "plethora" of emails, just took my money and ran. Trying to be successful at your business is no excuse to abandon your professed values and beliefs Jared. I speak the truth as a defense against those who don't. I made sure my conscience was clean when I wrote my review so that it communicated how I was treated. I wish you the best.

During the 90 days contracted production period they kept getting things wrong (and repeating the same mistakes over and over again) so I had to keep sending them back to the drawing board. It would sometimes take up to 2 weeks to get a hold of them to discuss their mistakes and the poor quality of their work. Once the 90 days was up they attempted to get me to sign off on a website that did not include a number of the key features I was promised, was super slow, wasn't mobile responsive and had a sales cart/checkout that calculated incorrectly. And to top it all off they then tried to pursuade me to pay a monthly management subscription fee (approximately $1800 per month) and told me they would work on the mistakes and completing the website if I started the subscription with them, which I refused. Once I tried to get a 50% refund from them for incomplete service, they lied to my bank's legal team saying the website was incomplete as a result of me asking them to do extra work on it...when the truth is I had only been asking them to fix the multiple mistakes and complete the job they had told me they were capable of completing. I now truely believe that It's on Media don't have the knowledge or experience to develop professional websites, and that they are con artists with the agenda to rip off vulnerable small business owners. I have now hired another company to rebuild the website from scratch. This company is kind enough to charge me in stages, making sure I am happy with each stage. The experience with It's on Media has left me in debt. Again DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY. This heartless company will rip you off.
