I came to Steve in 2022, I believe. It was important to me to have a photo of each arrangement on my son's grave as I live out-of-state and seeing the flowers on his grave gave me great peace. Steve assured me this would not be a problem. I offered to pay extra but he declined. Our agreement was met always until August 2023. I ordered flowers but received no photo. When I called, Steve stated he was too busy to take photo. This was part of our original verbal contract. No apologies. I let it go even though I was very angry. Keep in mind I paid each invoice promptly 12/5/25, I called Steve. I explained it was the 20th anniversary of my son's death and I wanted to do something really specially for an arrangement. I found a Christmas tree I liked and placed ordered. I even decorated my home this past year. Christmas was my son's favorite holiday. I received no photo. On 12/15 I called Steve and he told me tree was sitting in front of store and would be delivered soon. Christmas came and went without another word. I called again around end of year and was told by Steve he was too busy to take photo and send to me, again, no apologies. I have not and will not pay invoice as Steve, owner has once again failed to fulfill his original verbal contract with me regarding the photos in in addition to just being irresponsible regarding entire situation. read more

Horrible people working in store and delivering. Mother's Day flowers ordered a week before Mother's Day arrived the day after! And they were left over from a funeral! Browning and wilting! The horrid person in the store used a sympathy card! Sorry for your loss. Happy Mother's Day! Complain and the shop person puts you on a "black list"! Florist said they would re-deliver the flowers they messed up on, and did not hold up to their promise. The flowers they sent were atrocious, and they said they would re-deliver a new bouquet, and they never did. Don't ever do business with this florist. You will waste your money!!!!! read more

Second time ordering Flowers from Snow Thorton. First time the arrangement was horrible, nothing like was pictured. Second time when delivery person contacted my wife for directions to the house he was very Rude and Disrespectful towards her. I would recommend that you Do Not purchase anything from these people. I never ordered flowers online before and I should not have this time. When the arrangement was delivered, the funeral home actually contacted me to say how awful the arrangement was. They even sent photos to my email. The pictures showed a completely different arrangement. I have attached the photos as proof. There are 3 photos taken by the funeral home and a photo of what we actually ordered. You can see they are very different. There were no lillie or roses, but instead carnations and some dead looking weeds. There was a plastic vase, not glass (as confirmed by the funeral home), There was a cheap, white gift wrap bow and computer strip message instead of a funeral card. There is an abundance of greenery and few flowers. This is heartbreaking. We had the funeral home remove the flowers as they are an embarassment. I contacted the actual florist (Snow Thornton in Beckley, WV) and they were extremely rude and he dentified himself as the owner. He said I was not his customer and that I needed to "deal with you the wire florist". Never, ever again! read more

Pretty disappointed in the flowers that I ordered online for my mother for Mothers Day from Snow Thornton Florist in Beckley, WV. Ordering from out of state, & have been disappointed before with the major "online " florists, so decided to try a different route this time. Went online & looked for the name of a local florist in the town I wanted to send flowers. Found Snow Thornton Florist & searched thier online photos until I found a floral arrangement I liked. The arrangement I chose stated it had BRIGHT colored flowers in it. It described purple flowers & even named Gerber Daisy's and several other flowers in the description of what I was selecting. I chose this specific arrangement because of all the very vivid, very bright colored flowers in it. The arrangement sent to my mother was NOTHING at all like the description or the photo online!!! While the arrangement that was delivered WAS very fresh flowers, there was nothing bright or vivid about the colors in this arrangement!!!!! Most of the flowers in fact were just plain white.....or white with just a tinge of a very pale pink here & there!!!!! And none of the flowers that were listed by NAME in the online description were even in the floral arrangement!!!! I understand not always having ALL the flowers on hand that are described online......but seriously, this didn't look ANYTHING AT ALL like what I had wanted to send!!! I have pictures to prove the flowers i thought i was sending, & the ones that actually arrived looked nothing alike!!!!!!! Why go to the bother of listing the flowers by name online, if your not going to even include any of them in the arrangement??? This florist failed to deliver on 2 occasions what I ordered from 1800flowers. I paid $100 for an LARGE arrangement with sunflowers and lilac roses and my mom received red roses and mums. Owner swears this was approved by 1800flowers who says it was not. But more importantly was not approved by me the payer. 1800flowers has bent over backwards to try to make this right while Snow Thornton has delivered substandard flowers. It appears my mom got about $25.00 worth of flowers when I paid for a $100. worth. He then tried to justify the shitty work by saying he would only be paid $40.00 for his work and that 1800flowers kept the rest. Well HE is the one who entered into the contract with them and knew what he was getting into. He yelled at me on the phone then hung up on me. He said we should not have waited to the last minute to order, when we ordered the week prior to mothers day. 1800flowers has done everything to make it right. I contacted their corporate office regarding this and send pics of the substandard work that Snow Thornton is putting out on their behalf. This was a very important mothers day to my husband and it is his first to my mom as my husband and Snow Thornton really ruined it for him. I would not use this florist to send flowers to my worst enemy. read more
