Honestly, surpassed all expectations. Not only is it insane value - but the level of care and love you get from this vet is A++.

After our previous…read moreveterinarian retired, we roved around but weren't satisfied with the level of care and attention we were receiving elsewhere. We asked our neighbors and got almost universal recommendations from neighbors to Foster Animal Hospital. We would hear, "Doctor Barrow is excellent." "Doctor Aziz came by my house. He's just so incredible and caring." "Nearly everyone in this block goes to Doctor Aziz." Wow. They were right. What a difference once we got to Foster! After our first visit, we said "Looks like we found our new vet." Everyone is incredibly friendly and has a genuine care for your animal. These people LOVE animals and it shows in everything they do. The vet techs and doctors take as much time as you need, answer your questions, explain everything, and treat pets (and their owners) with love and care. The front desk team is somehow always on-the-ball with scheduling, billing, and reception. We're never waiting to be seen long. They are up-front, honest, fair, and transparent when it comes to costs, which I appreciate. Parking lot is huge and the location is super convenient. It's easy to understand why so many people recommend Foster Animal Hospital and I'm pleased to be one of them. Tell them Malory sent you

This was extremely frustrating -- she is an administrator, not a veterinarian, and when pet parents are nervous or concerned about their pet's health, the last thing we need is to feel dismissed or second-guessed by someone who is not medically qualified to advise us. This morning I needed to get anxiety medication for my pet. I asked my mother to pick it up on my behalf. She was told, with an attitude, that the medication needed to be signed off by a vet -- which I understand -- but when I asked when I could pick it up, the response again came with unnecessary attitude, saying that there are many patients and I'm not the only one. I am fully aware of that, but that does not justify being spoken to in this manner, especially when dealing with a sick pet. To make matters worse, my mother, who was simply trying to ask if the medication would be ready today, was treated unpleasantly as well. It feels like we are begging for a service that we are paying for -- this is not acceptable and not what anyone should experience when they are already stressed about their pet's wellbeing. I raised my initial concern with the owner after the first incident, and I was told there would be training. But this problem continues, and it seems nothing has changed. If this is how clients are treated when they need help, I truly wonder why the practice is even open. I am very disappointed and hope you take this feedback seriously, as no pet owner should be made to feel this way when trying to care for their animal.

The doctor was knowledgeable and nice, and the service is cordial, but it was just a terrible experience. First, I had to wait 45 minutes after my scheduled appointment to be seen. Then I had a follow-up question about allergy medication and called the doctor. They said she would call me back during the day. I waited 5 hours before calling back, and the secretary sounded annoyed and said the doctor was busy. 24 hours later I called again and said she was busy. I called a few hours after that because I had a simple question that I needed an answer to, and they said she was STILL busy. They also said "The Doctor wants to let you know she has 18 other patients and 4 other people to call back and then she will call you" That doesn't seem ethical AT ALL to me. and if my dog was actually having an emergency, thats insane!! I have never been to a vet where they were unable to give me a response within a few hours. I waited 48-72 hours until the doctor called me back. The service they provide is good, but I would never go back simply for the fact that they are overworked (apparently), and don't have the time. Waiting THAT long and having to follow up THAT often is just unacceptable for me as a dog owner.

Obviously we all don't want to bring our pets to any kind of emergency room but if you have to - bring them here. I've unfortunately had to bring my dog here multiple times but I'm SO happy to have VEG close by and literally open 24/7. My dog is 7 pounds of trouble and love. He has very uncommon conditions and is on a ton of medication. He was first diagnosed at VEG and they've thoroughly taken care of him. From the front desk staff to the vet techs to the doctors (who sit on the floor with your pet and tell you what's wrong) you can't beat the love and care they provide. I know they've renovated but you can literally walk in and see what's happening with your pet. It's never a secret, you're basically allowed in everywhere with them. They comfort you like family, keep you updated and are all so attentive and caring while they do it. I've recommended VEG to so many friends and clients. Unfortunately I'm sure I'll have to bring my dog in again at some point in his life but I'm happy to know they're here for me and my pup.

After 4 calls, I got a call back scolding me for "bothering" them. This was doctor Staubach. I couldn't believe it but never went back as I didn't want to "bother" them with medical questions about my dogs meds. God forbid you call your vet with a question! Fast forward to yesterday. My employee who is 21 yo took on a geriatric dog for a friend. For a year he card for and loved this dog who also had cancer. Yesterday it was time to make the worst decision ever because the dog had started to become uncomfortable. Being it was about 5:30 pm I googled local vets to see if we could find someone open to take care of the euthanasia. I saw that Parkview was open until 7, so figured I'd give them a call. I mean how could they screw up putting a dog down, right? So I call...they answer...I ask what the charge is for euthanasia and that I have a dog who is suffering. YOU ARE NOT GOING TO BELIEVE THE ANSWER I GET!!!! Are you ready? "Oh, I'm sorry to hear that but we aren't taking any new patients" WTF??? New patient????? They would see the dog once to put him down and then never again! Not one single ounce of compassion or a care in the world. They are in the WRONG business. SHAME ON THEM! Stay away, far away. Although I am a physician I am not familiar with this procedure in canines, but apparently open incisions are used to cut into the bladder for stone removal. My. Baby girl was discharged in howling pain, which was traumatic for my sister who had retrieved her. She had to return her to demand appropriate pain management for the dog as she was only given gabapentin and Rimadyl (doggie Advil). Even women who have cesarean sections are given strong analgesia for at least 3 days postoperatively. My baby suffered for days. I called the office the following day to get information regarding her diet going forward, as bladder stones can definitely recur. Not only was I not given any information, but I was merely switched to another person who just asked for my financials to make payment for the "extra (much needed) meds." I was given a generic receipt, so my insurance denied the payment, and I was NEVER given the invoice for the surgery, which was almost 3k and paid in full up front. I sent an email requesting the invoice, and to date they refused to respond, so I will not be able to submit for the reimbursement. When my son called the office he was told that they "didn't know" about the insurance- even though it is on file. Although they claim they will submit, I don't have much faith that they will. Further, why was this not handled from the beginning before they tortured my baby? If a human patient is treated this way there are patient advocates & lawyers promptly involved. I guess things are different in Veterinary Medicine.... But animals deserve compassionate care, too. Some people love their pets more than their spouses. In addition, pet parents should be counseled regarding the operative course, what to expect, and how to manage their pets post-operatively at home. My family, and especially my dog, were traumatized by this experience. This vet got good reviews on Yelp for some reason; maybe they are acceptable for routine well care visits and minor illnesses. But if you have a pet with serious illness or require invasive or surgical intervention I encourage you to seek another Veterinary practice.
