Their sugar free flavors specially coconut and wedding cake are great. Nice staff! They always have costumers so..its a popular spot around !

Chocolate snowball. Notice the ice with no syrup.

I normally love this snowball stand . The ice is impeccable but just a note to the owner, went the night of 3/13 and you were likely training new employees. One girl had two new employees. As you can see in the picture my snowball had ice with no syrup. I had also asked for condensed milk and she gave me one pump of condensed milk. I did mention this to her and said "is that all that I get" she looked at me dumbfounded and handed me my snowball. I then got my car to mix my snowball and noticed the lack of syrup. I would have come to the window but it was closing and they had shit the window. This is early snowball season so just wanted to give you a heads up. I don't want to have to find another snowball stand because normally I love this place. Customer service is key to keeping a good business and teenage employees can ruin it for you if not careful.

    Hair in my nachos

No stars!!! I went one evening to get Nachos found a damn hair in them. then I called to tell them the guy was confused in what I was saying so then two day later I go back to get something else then I let the little girl that didn't have respect for what I was saying plus showing her a picture of it. She reply I don't what ur showing me and that I should have came the next day if I wanted something for free no hon I wanted y'all to be aware of hair and for it not to happen again I can care less to get s****for free then I call again to talk to owner or someone not those girls.

They've had these newspaper clippings of the Saints Super Bowl win up on the window for years.

I stopped here because it was on the way back from my dad's house, it's not one of my usual places, but I figured why not? I generally stop here maybe a few times a year, usually after visits to my dad. I realized why that is the case. There are better snowballs in New Orleans. That's not to say this place is horrible. I've had better and I've had worse. That earns three stars from me. I got the jumbo size as I always do. They didn't quite put enough syrup in it, I saw a chunk of white ice where they missed a spot. I prefer a lot of syrup. The other thing that turned me off was their setup. They have bars on their windows and they keep them shut except for when taking your order and giving you your snowball. The window that they hand you your snowball is completely covered with newspaper articles so you can't watch your snowball made. Then there's a sign saying, "Please don't knock on the window." So it's like you can't check on your order if it's taking too long. Maybe they've been robbed there before or something but when I'm there I feel like I'm in a bank in a high crime area.

Yellow: Ice cream (cream flavor) stuffed & the red is cotton candy & honey dew melon mixed! So delicious!

The best snowballs in Metairie. The ice is so soft and they put a good amount of juice on the snowballs.

It was just one scoop of disappointment after another. First of all, the "black and gold" flavor that one of us was so excited to have again had freezer burn on it and the chicory flavor was way less pronounced; their king cake flavor was essentially just birthday cake with Mardi Gras-themed sprinkles in it. The other one of us ordered "sweater weather" and it basically tasted like you were mainlining nutmeg. Too intense! And the creole cream cheese just tasted like plain cream cheese--and not in a good way! Our daughter was happy with her cotton candy (blegh) cone. We would not exactly describe portions as generous. Also, it should be mentioned that it was around 50 degrees outside and they had the A/C on full blast in there. Yes, we understand you don't want to pump the heat up and melt the ice cream, but we were shivering. Very unpleasant! What a bummer because we had the fondest memories of Creole Creamery and now it's quite soured. Maybe we need to go back to the Garden District location on another trip, but three stars for now.

The staff were friendly, and the $9 croffle, which came out hot and fresh, was truly excellent and the highlight of the visit (a tip I got from another customer, not the staff). Unfortunately, that's where the positive experience ended. I ordered the Shokupan (Japanese milk bread with ice cream and strawberries), which the menu clearly listed at $13. I was charged $15 on the receipt. When I brought this discrepancy to the associates, they explained that the price had been recently changed and the manager was "not good with technology," making them unable to correct the digital board. I explained that having a misleading price displayed at the point of sale is false advertisement and requested a simple $2 refund for the difference. The associates stated there was "nothing they could do" and suggested I speak to the owner. The owner came forward disgruntled. When I explained the situation, he did not apologize or attempt to de-escalate. Instead, he flatly stated there are no refunds, told me the price was $15, and tried to reprimand me for not accepting his verbal price correction after I had already been charged. He said it's not a big deal, prices change all the time, all this over two dollars, making me feel incredibly uncomfortable. The sheer lack of professionalism, transparency, and simple customer courtesy was staggering. The owner's refusal to honor the price they were actively advertising left a sour taste that no dessert could fix. To add insult to injury, the Shokupan itself was underwhelming and in my opinion, not worth the $15 I paid: just a big chunk of dry bread topped with a scoop of ice cream. While the croffle was a treat, I cannot in good conscience recommend giving business to an establishment whose owner is willing to cause a scene over a $2 error of his own making (although he eventually gave me the $2 refund) demonstrating a clear disregard for community and honest business practices.

Fast forward a few years, I am browsing an ice cream blog (theicecreaminformant.com), and come across a brand of ice cream called New Orleans Ice Cream Company. I had never heard of them before but their flavors seemed unique and I start craving a few of them. I was lucky enough to get my hands on some of it (Thank you, Adrian!) and started making my way through their flavors. New Orleans Ice Cream Company makes between16-20 different flavors of ice cream at any given time (They have some seasonal flavors). They stay local and make distinct New Orleans inspred flavors. Some of their flavors include, Cafe Au Lait & Beignets (Fantastic btw!), Coffee & Chicory, Creole Cream Cheese (Their most popular flavor), Ponchatoula Strawberry, Mardi Gras Pie, Praline Crunch etc. These ice cream pints are super premium ice creams which contain tons of flavor, great texture and the freshest ingredients they can get their hands on. It's not available in stores out here in AZ, yet, but if you want to get your hands on some of it, you can pick it up at icecreamsource.com. If you are an ice cream lover, you owe it to yourself to get a couple of pints. If you need a few suggestions, I would highly recommend the Cafe Au Lait & Beignets (Great coffee flavor, chewy donut pieces) , the Praline Crunch (Butter pecan tasting ice cream with candied pralines throughout) and the Baked Alaska (The owners favorite flavor which is packed with these crunchy meringue bits that are out of this world!). Any pint you choose, should be good. These guys are cranking out some of the best ice cream out there! I can't wait to make my way through the other pints that are sitting in my freezer. I have been extremely impressed so far and every pint I have tried, has been flat out delicious!

This brand can be a bit of a challenge to find and so far I have only seen it at local groceries like Rouse's, Zara's, Langenstein's, Dorignac's, Breaux Mart, Fresh Market, Winn-Dixie and Whole Foods. Their Po Boy Ice Cream sandwich is probably the finest ice cream sandwich I have ever had and I believe Parkway Bakery offers those also. I first tried their ice cream at a Yelp event and I have been a fan ever since. This stuff has to be really good to occasionally break me away from my normal Creole Creamery and Angelo Brocato's addiction.

We found Lucy Boone online, and hopped over since the reviews and photos looked good. Well, don't believe everything that you see online! The ice cream here really isn't very good, and our main complaint about it is that it's just not creamy. It has more of the consistency of a watery/diluted supermarket brand, and the flavors themselves aren't impressive either. Not trying to be mean--just being honest! Two of us shared their sampler, and we do have to say that we appreciated that as an option! The king cake was pure cinnamon, but the peanut butter nuddy buddy was really good--we'd say that was the best one of them all. The salted butter caramel was ho hum and the fourth flavor was so ho hum that we can't even remember what it was. Maybe nutella brownie?? Our daughter had the caramel in a cone and she said it was very small :( Oh, almost forgot to mention that on a holiday weekend, they had ONE person working, who was very sweet and clearly trying to do all the things. Needless to say, the place was pretty dirty and the (fake) marble tables weren't clean. The space is also kind of small and it doesn't seem like they've made the best use of it. While this place may look and advertise itself like an upscale hipster ice cream, it just does not deliver. We personally wouldn't recommend Lucy Boone, but it's not like you'll have a "bad" experience. It's just not worth it.
