DO NOT PAY UP FRONT…read more I hired Ryan Eckrote to remove a tree from my property. We agreed on a price of $3,000 for the complete job. I paid a $600 down payment before work began. On April 7, Ryan and his crew came out and completed only part of the work. They cut down approximately half of the tree but left the trunk standing. They also left a significant amount of debris in my yard. I had to send multiple messages before one of his employees finally came back to clean up the mess. Ryan repeatedly assured me he would return to finish the job. I wasn't in a rush, so I gave him plenty of time and never pressured him. On multiple occasions he told me he would be working nearby and would stop over. Each time I made the effort to move the vehicles, he never showed up. After the second time, he stopped responding to my calls and messages altogether. What makes this even more disappointing is that I treated Ryan and his crew with nothing but kindness. I paid my portion of the job promptly, tipped him an additional $100, and even provided food for his workers while they were on site. I expected the same level of honesty and professionalism in return. I made every effort to resolve this privately before leaving this review, but Ryan refused to communicate or work toward a reasonable solution. After looking into other customer experiences, I found reviews describing situations very similar to mine--partial work completed, payment collected, and unfinished jobs left behind. I wish I had done more research beforehand. I'm sharing my experience so others can make an informed decision.
