I live in the Fremont area and Crystal Sun is the only place around to tan. However, I refuse to go…read moreto this place of business because multiple times that I have been there, I have gotten terrible service. When I pull up, there is a crowd of people (employees, I'm guessing) that are standing around talking and smoking. So first of all, I have to walk through a cloud of smoke to get into the building and when I get in, the building smells like smoke. I take my time to tan and when I leave, the employee is standing outside the door with the door barely propped open and the smoke from her cigarette is blowing straight into the building which explains the smoke smell inside the building. I then walk out the door and watch her throw her cigarette out into the parking lot like she thinks the parking lot fairy comes around and picks up her cigarette butt. The whole parking area in front of their business is full of cigarettes! What a great image to create for the company you work for. It really made me feel like she did not have a care in the world about how her company looked. This company is supposed to promote wellness and feeling good about yourself and this employee stands right outside the front of their business and just smokes one cigarette after another. I will not ever be going to Crystal Sun again and will encourage everyone I know to go to a much cleaner and more professional business.

They are true to their word on hot lamps and have a variety of tanning beds and stand ups. I love the size of the beds and you can actually move and adjust your body in them. The first time I went, I did one streak of highlight called a flash highlight (over 200$) to test the waters and it turned out great, so I came back expecting the same quality. This time was completely different. Paige double-booked another client and had her assistant handle most of my appointment. The assistant was extremely rough while washing my hair even after I repeatedly asked her to be gentle. She seemed annoyed that I said something and actually handed me the brush and said "do you want to brush it?" I shouldn't have to explain the same thing twice to her assistant when I already paid for a consultation to make sure this wouldn't happen. Paige barely checked in, didn't review my foils before they were rinsed, and my hair came out yellow and orange instead of the cool blonde I asked for. I didn't even get to choose the toner or discuss the results before being told by the assistant to pay. I also asked for thicker highlights and ended up with baby lights that looked uneven in tone. I walked out in tears and paid $265 for results that look like I used a bottle of Sun-In at home. I'm beyond frustrated and will not be going back. Letting an inexperienced assistant take over while charging full price is completely unacceptable.
