Most notable experience was when my husband found an abandoned kitten (no mother, neighbors said she was dumped). I brought her in immediately for testing and she had mites and tested positive for worms. The problem is, no one communicated to me that she had the worms. No one called me after the test results were in, no one called me to pick up medication, I only found out after I took her in for another checkup around a week later and the vet asked how she was doing with the medicine. Also to mention the decline of phone availability. I remember multiple times I left a message/text asking for a call back, but no one ever did. I had to repeatedly call and leave messages until they did. I then switched vets, in doing so, they didn't send me the full and complete records for my animals. The new vet had to call, and even then, notes and information were missing so I've had to fill in missing pieces from memory. It's really unfortunate, I loved this office at first, but I've had one too many negative experiences to be able to confidently bring my pets back.

Just for one example, during off-hours, we recently had an urgent issue with our 13 yo cat, and he ended up being hospitalized overnight at an emergency clinic. Over $2k later, after coming home, he still was having same issues, and the emergency clinic still had no further ideas how to help him; we took him to Troutman Animal Hospital. Dr. Novosad determined his problem and was able to correct it, and he was fine after that. She was also wonderful during the process of treating our very elderly kitty Lucy for her many health conditions and so kind when we finally had to make the hard decision to euthanize Lucy. It IS a very busy animal hospital, but they have always been able to fit me in when we had a concerning issue with one of our pets, which is something I greatly appreciate.
